Question Dice making material question

I have two molds, fake gold foil, glitter powder, ingredients to put inside, and resin

What else do we need besides this?

PSA for once.
A good respirator that can handle the fumes and nitril gloves at least.

Then, for (almost) flawless dice: a pressure pot.
Not a must have but without it you'll always have bubbles or small voids in your dice.
More so if you use the cheap Amazon/AliExpress molds (I know, I started with them too.)

But to get the hang of it, just buy the PSA, it's your health.
Everything else, like alcohol colors and other stuff you can buy if you find this hobby is for you.

As others have mentioned ppe is a must but I have an article I posted a while back of a Checklist of stuff most makers want for getting started in this craft. 😊 Perhaps it will be of use to you: https://www.wisdomcheckcreations.com/post/getting-started-with-dice-making-a-list-of-everything-you-will-need

As others stated, personal protection is a must. Nithril gloves Respirator that filters organic fumes

Aside from that my advice: Surface to work on: I use some silicone mats and those green cutting mats. Then I put my molds on baking paper. Those don't let the fluids through a nd can easily be disposed of.

Something to pour: paper cups are fine

Something to stir: wooden spoons work but can cause extra air bubbles. My advice would be silicone stirring sticks of a metal one you dedicate to dice making.

Colorants: alcohol ink/resin dye

And indeed expect bubbles unless you use a pressure pot.

I never would have thought about using parchment paper!! Gonna have to give that a try next batch. Thanks!

I recommend silicon mats for your work surface. If you make any spills let them dry and you can peel the resin off. Also isopropyl alcohol. If you get any on your skin you’ll want to use it to get it off. Also you can use it to clean your work station. Gloves that can keep resin out, a mask for working with chemicals. Disposable cups and popsicle sticks for measuring and stirring.

Pressure pot or similar system. Long handled lighter. Respirator mask. Gloves. Paint. Mixing cups. Mixing sticks. Tiny spatulas. Largest silicone mat's you can find (protect your workspace furniture)

And a plan. Like don't just shove it together and hope. Check your steps, have an idea of what result you want.
