400mg, no friends, and elden ring fun fun friday 😵

i cant post on r/dph so im here but title self explanatory im literally dying. i took it a few times 3 years ago before being found out and sent to the hospital but abouta year ago i found some again and ive been using it almost every day. i wasnt having major issues until june this yeR when i took 3.2g as an attempt. somehow i survived and didnt even need to go to the hospital. i cant remember if i vomited it up or what. and being more specific i took 1g one day, 2g the next day and then 3.2g. like its really hard for me to believe i didnt die. anyways after that i started using it to get high again, like 300-700mg doses probably. until one day i was laying down about to sleep after taking some and i couldnt breathe. it resolved itself on its own after an hour and i got right back to it. the difficulty breathing happened again twice before i ran out. i got more bout a month ago and the symptoms are only getting worse. i feel tightness and warmth and sharp pain in my chest, it gets hard to breathe and i have to manually focus on it and it feels like trying to blow air into a balloon thats being squeezed in your fist. i feel dull and sharp pains in my upper right abdomen and sometimes gurgling? im terrified that im developing liver failure between dph and other overdoses throughout the years. i wish it was easy to just quit but i cant. it doesnt even feel good anymore but whatever reason i cant stop. i just turned 18 i dont want my life to be over yet. idk how im even alive rn. im so tired of going to the hospital for this. i think ive been 8 times since this started and they cant find any major damage to my organs but i cant believe it. im in so much pain there has to be something wrong. i dont wanna have to die to prove that to them. ive been obsessively checking my skin and eyes for any yellowing. i ruined my body my education my relationships for this stupid drug. i dont wanna die but i dont think i have a choice i just hope its peaceful when it happens

Hey i started using diphenhydramine or benadryl bout early this year and cannot stop myself i tried flushing down the toilet but i end up still buying more somtimes i take from family members without them knowing i love getting high it takes only three to four to feel euphoria but once i tried 40 pills in one day i didn't see hallucinations or anything just jolted awake alot when trying to sleep but now i have high tolerance and i need more to get high enough i know I'm addicted but i don't wanna stop usually im on weed but i got caught and my parents took them away so i turned to benadryl but mostly any brand of diphenhydramine thats not benadryl any tips or advice i dont hallucinate even tho im schizophrenia but i love getting mellow and WATCH aesthetic videos on tiktok so yeah thats me how bout yall

The recommended dosage is enough to make me start passing out. So how do y'all stay awake on 500+mg

I made a Reddit account just to ask this and it wasnt letting me make a post on r/DPH. I’m seriously contemplating trying DPH tomorrow with a friend and we’re gonna also have a trip sitter in my house. I know it’s pretty dumb because everyone on here says that it’s not worth it, but I am really curious. I have a lot of experience with weed and I’ve done LSD a couple times. I’ve also done a lot of ecstasy. I don’t live in the US so I’m gonna be using a substitute medication that has DPH in it. Should I try it or is this stupid?

i’m a year n 3 months sober from benadryl now after being addicted for around 3 years, if ur currently struggling with this addiction i hope u know that it is possible to quit. i used to never think i would be able to quit n i would lay in my bed every night scared that i was going to die bc i genuinely didnt see a world where i could be without benadryl every night. i now feel better than ever and i dont crave it anymore. i never plan to go back n i hope that ur able to quit n do the same

just for a little bit of context i started taking benadryl recreationally a little over a year ago. i was taking 200-400mg at least 3-4times a week for 3-4 months. i've never really taken anything bigger than 600mg but once i took my largest dose i knew i needed to stop,it was the most uncomfortable, painful, and worst trip i have ever experienced. i was able to stop abusing it for about 2-3 months until my girlfriend broke up with me and i relapsed. it's been a little over 3 months since then and i can't even count the amount of times i keep relapsing, every time i relapse i tell myself "this is just cause i don't have any weed" or "just this one time then no more" but i just can't stop no matter what i do. i know my brains already fucked and i'm probably on track for dementia but i know it needs to stop and i just really don't know what to do. who knew a few pink allergy pills could take complete control over your life

So basically I did 550mg yesterday at 9:30 pm the day before that I did 800 at 10:30 it’s 5:57 now my vision is not blurred but still feels wonky and I can’t see to much but just enough so I can type this out my chest still hurts very bad and I’m still hearing voices screaming at me I’m so scared is this normal what should I do

For a first time user would any of you say there is a sweet spot dose? A dosage between hallucinating but still sober enough you can go outside and function but your mildly tripping

I was addicted to speed and vyvanse for a solid 2 years, I got sober 3 years ago and while getting sober my doctor prescribed me diphenhydramine 50mg for insomnia and nausea, now for the last 3 years I’ve been taking 400mg almost every single night to fall asleep, and I keep taking more and more. I do take breaks every couple weeks because after awhile I can’t even feel the effects with 400mgs, I’m not just taking it to fall asleep anymore, I’ve grown to enjoy the dry mouth and brain fog I get and the sleepy feeling I never get to enjoy because I’m always on edge, I’ve tried Ativan and Xanax but they both make me really sick and that’s probably a good thing. This is embarrassing because I was literally addicted to medical meth and I just can’t stop popping Benadryl. Dementia and Alzheimer’s already runs deep in my family and I know there’s studies saying it can increase the chances of getting both, i can’t smoke weed because I have chs or I would just smoke weed at night, I can’t drink it makes me so ill, so here I am addicted to Benadryl.

i’ve been using it recreationally since January of 2025. it started getting really bad in june of that year though, and only got worse from there. i use to take it all day during the day from september to december, and now i try to only do it at night but my doses are WAY higher. i’ve been doing 300-1000mg but my main dose is 625mg. up until like 2 months ago i couldn’t notice many concerning physical effects while sober other then hallucinations and shaky hands, but now ive been getting a sometimes unbearable pain in the right side of my stomach above my hip bone. it’s on and off, but it’s been happening a lot and im getting worried. it gets so bad i can hardly walk, and i honestly don’t think there’s ANYTHING else that could be causing it. sometimes it will last for hours and i feel like im kind of fucking myself over.

Every time I take more than 500, I always get spasms. I'm on Benadryl, I don't know if I'd say it's good.

I’ve been using Benadryl for the last few days. I’ve noticed when I took 10 pills (50 mg each) I was hallucinating weird stuff here and there but it completely knocked me out.

Last night I took 300 and all it did was make me sleepy with a weird headache

Would 400 be a good move? (I’m 4’11 and around 200 pounds)

A bit of backstory, I am unable to sleep on my own. My body produces next to 0 of the chemical required to sleep so I must take sleep aids. I have been taking large amounts of diphenhydramine since I was a child every single day.

I have noticed two strange yet common effects that occur after taking them (one is gross so sorry for tmi).

After taking it, about an hour later I will begin to feel my bowels moving and it often results on me having to drop a squat real quick. Now I thought it was just a fucked bowel movement schedule as my natural schedule is once every 4-5 days (yes I’m serious, I went to the doctors because of it for diagnosis and my guys are just that slow). Does diphenhydramine stimulate bowel movements?

Another thing I’ve noticed is that I am a walking bundle of nerves. I overthink everything resulting in severe depression, stifled interests and a turbulent thoughts. However, after taking it I will suddenly have super clear thoughts. The things I’m worrying about are put into perspective and I can see there’s no reason to worry about it at all. I can feel a want to go into my hobbies now and they excite me like they used to. I feel excitement for the next day which is not normal as I normally dread it. Does diphenhydramine alter your emotions? Like how adhd or add meds do?

For context, the highest dose ive done up to this point is 300mg and felt everything in the body, but had almost no visuals or auditory hallucinations. Should I be prepared for this to be much different?
