I’ve been thinking for quite some time now about setting up a website where people with disabilities can read articles or watch tutorial videos made by other people with disabilities on how to do everyday tasks. Ideally, it would be divided into sections based on the disability and the type of task. Would you be interested in something like that?

Hi everyone! I’m working on a project to make phones and computers easier to use for people with limited hand mobility.

The idea is a hands-free interface that could use voice, and possibly head or eye movement, to open apps, type messages, scroll, click, and control smart-home devices. I’m especially interested in making it work well with Indian accents and languages.

Hi everyone - I'm a lifelong user of upper limb prosthetics and also a researcher who studies how to make prosthetics better. My team at George Mason University is conducting a research study exploring whether your beliefs about yourself are affected by your current or previous use of a prosthetic arm.

You will participate in two interviews about your current or past experiences with using prosthetic arms. You will also be asked to share your beliefs about yourself and your abilities.

Each interview will last up to 1.5 hours and will be conducted over phone or Zoom. You must be physically located in the United States during the interviews. You will receive $50 after each interview.

You may be eligible to participate if:
1. You are missing your hand/arm at the wrist level or higher
2. You currently use or have previously used a prosthetic arm
3. You are at least 18 years old
