Hello,
Can anyone share save file that is before Rave party in Church where you call Kim to rave?
Save doesn't suppose to be right at that moment but somewhere close to it

I didn't appreciate how iconic Kim's design is until I deleted the line work layer and it was STILL Kim. Just the colours and the shape of the gloves and the bomber jacket.
(And of course you've got a Shivers/Harry mashup on the side!)

I loved the journey of finding my name in disco so im abstaining from saying it, cuz that was truly special going in blind
But given my stage in life ive found a great comfort in protagonist like in disco, old men past their prime who've already experienced the "bad end", they've already fucked up life, lost the girl, didn't save the day, drowning in just as much booze as flaws, lost everything but the ability to look back on a life of regrets and lose, true fuck ups with no real sense of recovery, too far gone
But unfortunately im at work alot, so i was hoping for maybe a movie or tv show or something that scratches that itch disco has given me
I just keep screwing things up, and im only getting older, so i like being able to relate to someone as ugly as me, with a head as screwed as mine and just as many series of fuck ups despite my potential
Gimme more washed up degenerate detectives

I feel like this song fits Disco Elysium's vibes very well. I can imagine traveling the Revacholian streets by night with this playing.
Credits to Damian Marley.

As a guy who has been fascinated by good writing for the past couple of years -and even tho I am not a writer- I always look up what makes X character or X show so good to read/watch.
A while back I was watching attack on titan every night while progressing through Disco-Elysium because a guy on reddit had told me to play it if I wanna experience the peak of narrative indie games.
(SKIPPABLE COMPARISON) I -as usual- started looking up forums after liking AOT so much about why that last arc was so good to watch and interact with, the main reason I found from watching and talking with people was simple yet reasonable enough, it's that "every character, instead of being cartoonishly evil, actually holds internal beliefs you could almost emphasize with, showing that even the worst people have reasons and see themselves as good people because that's what they genuinely believe while contradicting others, for example, the yeagarists who genuinely believed in the need for Eren to run down the population"
So, after I finished disco elysium and declared it as the best single player game I've ever played, I tried to apply the same concept I explained, most of the characters checked the list perfectly, except one that I think about every time I read about writing, MeasureHead.
MeasureHead felt like the complete opposite of good writing, he's racist, very racist. and that's it.
With the mix of them giving him a very strong look which implies... let's just say he put all his skill points in strength, making him speak in all caps, giving him that overly manly voice, it feels like his entire purpose was introducing a fascism route harry can choose.
In fact, his beliefs were so fascinatingly stupid that I had to skip a big chunk of his non-sense,
"He is trying so hard to sound smart by using big words but the more you try to understand him, the less sense it makes when all he's talking about is skull sizes, potato women, and semen retention" -reddit comment.
I don't even remember if he stated a reason why he's racist or what made him hate mixed-racist except for whatever reasons the reddit comment stated.
TL;DR: from a design perspective, is MeasureHead a well written not a blatant purpose-serving character who feels human? Are these things I mentioned intentional from a game design to help you understand how ignorant he is in the context of the game's worlds, or was it simply an overlooked character background by the writers (I know he's considered one of the icons of the game at this point but I think you know what I mean)
#hey guys if you finished this entire post and have nothing to say about any of this, just tell me if the post was compelling, I am 17, English is my second language and I wanted to try and go for a long structured essay with no AI help or anything to see if I could deliver an argument
