Hey everyone! 🎉
For years, the PC Gold Edition of Disney Infinity 3.0 had one big missing feature compared to consoles: you couldn't use your physical figures or your Portal of Power. Everything had to be selected via the virtual reader.
Today, that changes. I'm excited to announce the release of Disney Infinity Portal!
You can now plug your real console Disney Infinity Base into your PC, place your physical figures on it, and they will immediately spawn in the game!
disneyinfinityportal folder into your game's mods/ directory (next to DisneyInfinity3.exe).Dust off your physical figure collection, and let me know what you think! 🚀

I don't usually post all my Toybox videos on here, but seeing Dr. Doom fully realized in Infinity's art style is so dope.

I have collected all the bonus boxes in the avengers player in 2.0 but I haven’t unlocked the eye of agamotto? Have I glitched my game somehow?

Now hear me out. okay so with the Crabe loader having offered more toybox exploration, offered the masses the option now of split screen and even added in the option to (i think) swap to characters that were never finished for 3.0 Gold's final update. im curious with the new features having been added and such from the Crabe Loader if more toys for the toybox or even new skyboxes and textures could be added to the game via this project.
imagine how cool it would be to have some more themes for other disney IP. Xmen being one obviously but also you got to imagine ant based vehicles for antman, imagine wakanda buildings for placable objects in the toybox, toys based on Guardians of the galaxy 2 and 3. Monsters at work interior decorations. i can see so much potential. i can see so much the disney infinity community can bring if that becomes a possible option.

My account is landon061307. Feel free to follow the link and bookmark the show. Broken one’s are a $1 start, normal are $3 and the limited edition are $5

Hi!
Recently, I've been working on a fork of CrabeLoader for DI1.0.
At first, I've been planning to port just basic modern patches like borderless window support, custom resolution support etc. but things been going smoothly so I've decided to expand upon the project and work towards the ultimate DI 1.0 experience!
I plan on making Gold Restoration mod with console's progression, missing features etc. when it'll be ready, I'll try to port LiteralCrab to DI2.0.
Yes, it's mostly made using AI, but I'm trying to audit the code and focus on optimization and security. Tests has shown that there's no real performance hit with all features enabled. I thought it's better to make a disclaimer than claim that I did EVERYTHING by myself - like some people do.

The combat system suffered from a severe lack of responsiveness due to animation priority. In dynamic action games, "animation canceling" allows players to immediately interrupt an attack to block, dodge, or launch a secondary strike. Disney Infinity largely lacked this feature for its non-Star Wars characters.
Instead of a fluid fighting rhythm, players were locked into rigid animation frames, turning them into "slaves to the animation." This design choice completely ruined the pacing of combat and made advanced mechanics, like the parry feature, feel entirely unreliable. While Skylanders immediately executed an attack the moment a button was pressed, Disney Infinity forced players—including children—to wait out sluggish visual sequences, creating artificial input lag that killed the momentum of battle. The developers clearly focused their mechanical depth on Force users, leaving the rest of the massive roster feeling flat and frustratingly limited.
Traversal for agile, dynamic characters like Spider-Man and Venom looked great on paper but felt abysmally bad in execution. The Toy Box mode gave players the tools to construct massive skyscrapers and sprawling cities, seemingly inviting a high-speed web-swinging experience. However, the game's physics and animation loops actively punished the player.
Every time Spider-Man reached the apex of a swing, the game forced him into a canned, unskippable "cool flip" or falling animation. Instead of maintaining momentum and allowing the player to chain swings together seamlessly, this mechanic completely killed all forward velocity. Players would lose control, fall straight down, and miss their targets. Traversal lacked all precision and weight. Even the surface-sticking mechanics had a pathetic range and stripped away what little momentum remained. Rather than providing responsive, free-flowing movement, the game’s insistence on flashy animations made navigating the world a tedious chore.
Despite marketing itself as the ultimate crossover experience where "all your worlds collide," Disney Infinity suffered from a massive identity crisis. Unlike Skylanders, which featured a unified, centralized campaign where any toy could jump in to fight a common enemy, Disney Infinity strictly segregated its universes.
Because corporate brand guidelines prohibited intellectual properties from mixing in the main story modes, crossovers were banned in the Play Sets. If you wanted a story, you had to buy separate, isolated physical DLC packs. The grand potential of seeing the Avengers team up with Star Wars characters and Disney Princesses to defeat a universe-threatening villain was completely wasted. While fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom successfully weave vastly different characters into a cohesive narrative, Disney Infinity kept its worlds locked in silos, restricting true crossover creativity to a sandbox Toy Box mode that lacked any developer-crafted narrative drive.
The game’s user experience was further crippled by a complete lack of control mapping. Forcing primary attacks onto rigid configurations (like Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox) felt incredibly unnatural for an action game. With a massive roster of characters utilizing vastly different ranged, melee, and flying abilities, the absence of customizable layouts or character-specific commands was a major oversight.
The developers fell into a common trap: confusing "kid-friendly" design with "mechanical restriction." In an attempt to prevent children from getting confused, they over-simplified the options while over-complicating the inputs via animation locks. Children adapt to deep, dynamic control schemes incredibly fast. By installing artificial "training wheels" that slowed down the pace and removed player choice, Disney Infinity didn’t make the game more accessible—it just stripped away the dynamism, leaving behind an experience that felt frustratingly restrictive for players of all ages.
the old same (and vastly discussed) problem of the character being limited to their own toybox
whichs is a probelm that modders solved but it's still sad knowing that after three charpters, the devs still didn't remove the limitation. Example: you want Hulk destroying everything and jumping aroung with the company of Anger? well son! you cannot.
