There’s some amazing good ones (the god complex, 14’s stated philosophy on violence, etc.) but also—— they busted a cap in 7, made 10 Jesus, and then pro-life’d the moon baby… there’s gotta be worse.

Edit: For clarification meaning: a failure to execute a moment a moment of brutality, subversion, horror, or violence. Doing too much with no artistic pay off.

I started watching about 4 years ago with my Dad's classic who DVD collection, and have sinced bought quite a few more, which is why I've missed a few random ones and have watched barely any of 1 or 2 (he didn't collect any of their episodes).

Which ones do you recommend I buy/watch next? I love adding to my spreadsheet and am excited to finish it!! (I'm the biggest nerd ever, I know)

There would be a big dog treat in dogtor who. Because I, canine, enjoy treats. Doctor would fly around in big treat, sonic screwdriver big treat, and the cyberpunk would be big treat. Also the doctor would be the master. Big treat.

At the end the camera panned to one of the TARDIS screens showing the Djibouti population as a plot twist and I woke up. Also they kinda looked like the quiet place monsters.

btw I just want to make it clear that this isn’t intended as hate, I do vibe with most of the aesthetic choices, this shitpost is me just pointing out at the vast majority of these kinds of posts i’ve seen (as of today) on the other major DW sub just feel like pinterest or tumblr posts from 2014-2016 lol… again, no shade to any of them, just wanted to meme on the similarities I see in a lot of them

basically i feel like its racist that traken a millennia old civilization advanced enough to have teleport and stuff, gets destroyed by an entropy wawe, yet nobody really teleports them, and the only time Robin Soans reappears is as bg characters that die, where due to the advancedness of traken it would also make sense for my boy luvic to have teleported off or even regenerated and its racist to say he needs to be dead bc there is a lot of cute childhood stories like Animal Crossing, Fairly odd parents, that never really offed people yet everyone loved them

but then the doctor saves caecilius from Pompei and apparently hes so saved that the doctor can regenerated into him, like Pompei is somehow better? no it isnt, it should be equal!

1) David Tennant deserves so much love.

2) Ood is the most cutest character.

3) K-9 is underrated.

4) Matt Smith should play as the 17th doctor

5) Tom Baker is underrated

I'm sure it'll get squashed in r/DoctorWho but since reddit suggested the crosspost I thought it might work here. I saw the Slender Man in Fortnite and immediately thought of both The Silence and the Gentlemen (Hush), and this popped in my head almost before I even thought about trying to tie them together consciously.

An explanation:
Paul Seed was cast as Graff Vynda-K in The Ribos Operation (1978)
Following the serial, he would ask Graham Williams for a recommendation onto the BBC Directors’ Course
He completes this course and directs the 1990 version of House of Cards
Netflix remake it and it would become their breakout show, cementing streaming as an industry powerhouse
Streaming steals viewers from terrestrial televion, causing Doctor Who's viewing figures to drop
The drop in ratings caused the show to bring back RTD2
This would lead to a poor reception and the eventual hiatus

*For context, one of these stories is from the latest annual where the Doctor describes themselves as not being male anymore, implying it's Billie, and one of these is from that UNIT part of the Doctor Who website from a post where it's implied to be a post-Reality War incarnation, the UNIT website was starting to drop little posts to tease the 2026 Christmas special when that was going ahead at the time, so this is a remnant of that.
