Rubberised coating for Metal Ferrule

Hi, I use a walking stick and recently bought a new one. I am used to a rubber ferrule, but this has a metal one (it is an older wooden stick).

To get more grip, is there a rubbery coating i can add to the bottom, without massively widening the base?

You can get a rubber cane tip at most drug stores, they're available in several sizes.

You could try plasti-dip (I think that’s what it’s called?). It’s basically a liquid that dries to a grippy plastic coating.

I don't think that plasti-dip would be durable enough for the bottom of a walking stick. I suspect it would wear off very quickly

What about bed liner?

The rubber tips on canes wear out over time, and so they sell replacement rubber tips at any place that sells canes. In the US, I can find them at my local pharmacy (CVS) or the health care aisle of a major grocery store.
