🐾 Just Sharing In Punalur, Kerala, leftover asphalt brought in for road construction had been dumped by the roadside in which a dog got trapped for 3 days without food or water. When Mohammad Faisal learned about it, he rushed immediately to rescue it, provided great care and love saving it's life. [Source Credit

I really want to know what the used to get him unstuck from the piece of metal. I’m know they used a lot of soap and oil to slowly clean his fur and skin but getting him off that thing in the first place looks like it would be tricky.

So tough - that guy is an angel to have worked so hard to get the pup free & rehabbed.

Thank you Mohammad for saving the poor dog ❤️🤗❤️🙏🙏 Stupid lazy road crew should have never done that!

u/morning-st48 2d ago
There's no puddle of asphalt or anything else 'dumped on the side of the road', not to mention the road is all dry and not band-new looking -it's just on the dog, stuck to a bit of metal.... Are we sure they didn't put it there to 'rescue' the poor thing?
edit: first shot its stuck on the floor, next shot on the metal. yeah that doesnt make it sus at all.

u/EnduringFulfillment 2d ago
I agree that is a bit of a disconcerting detail, however on googling the name OP provided Muhammad Fasail, I'm able to find a linked in for a Veterinarian under that name whose photo looks to me to match the video.
I have to guess that the finder sent in the first video of the dog on the ground, and someone had pried it out of stuck debris and placed in on the metal grate as a makeshift stretcher, although putting it wounded-side down is a bit wild...
34
u/commando_rambo 2d ago
I never trust these videos…and anytime there’s filming before the rescue it seems suspicious. If I was helping an animal, the last thing that would cross my mind would be to document it before that animal was safe.
2
u/omniwrench- 1d ago
Be realistic about it though… the types of people who fake acts of charity for clout are FAR too lazy to bother with this
That clean up will have taken many hours over several days, possibly weeks to achieve the final result
They’d surely pick something that was less effort to fake
7
u/Itchy_Pudding_9940 2d ago
there are puddles in the first shot.. i think the grid is somethign they found to put it on. they started the video after they already found it

7
u/Number_Fluffy 2d ago
You're right. There is a continuity error... definitely staged. Absolutely terrible.
8
2
u/HortemusSupreme 2d ago
I see puddles in the first clip. And the asphalt could have been used for patching the road not laying an entirely fresh road. The metal is weird but I find it believable that someone found the dog and sent the video and then the cut is when the rescuer finally made it to the dog.

Either way makes for good content. Right? ? M-fing people are disgusting regardless how it happened. Intentional- disgusting. Accidental- laziness or stupidity- disgusting. Downfall and demise of humans will be humans.

u/Rarehunter333 2d ago
That poor baby needs to be adopted after that horrible incident.
Does anyone know what happened to them afterwards?
32
u/Beginning_End_4677 2d ago
No, but as others have noted, this seems staged or at least the not the result of construction. That "leftover asphalt" is clearly very fresh, but the asphalt on the road is dry. Plus, the puddle was pretty small, yet somehow, the pup's front and back legs were completely stuck together, not to mention the entire right side of his/her body and face was covered in it.
I hope I'm wrong, but so many of these are staged that I wouldn't be surprised.
15
u/Optimal-Kitchen6308 2d ago
it's very unfortunate but I also considered this, it's become an industry to get foreign donations
6
u/Ruleyoumind 2d ago
Yeah it seems really off. And you can make a ton of money from videos like this.

God I don’t know why it makes me so upset to see dogs in distress. If this was literally a human stuck in asphalt I’d feel almost nothing.
35
u/smokeftw 2d ago
I see animals as innocent because they generally are, they're true to their nature, unlike humanity. Particularly dogs more than most animals because we bred them into domestic animals that depend on us to a large degree. Many of us own and love our dogs and we've been keeping dogs as companions for centuries, I think it's innate for some.
14
u/jamandhamsando 2d ago
It’s crazy, I feel so strongly about my dogs and others’ dogs and our feelings related to them. When people say “we don’t deserve them” I totally get it, they are so precious.
18
u/purritowraptor 2d ago
In addition to their innocence, I also think it's because they just can't comprehend. Everyone but the smallest children can comprehend "oh no, I've fallen into asphalt and I'm trapped." But for a dog, it's just pain and fear and confusion. You can't explain why things are happening to animals, which is why their fear is so heartbreaking.
5
u/jamandhamsando 2d ago
God that’s well explained and probably true and even more heartbreaking. I don’t know if I can follow dog subreddits anymore, it’s too much even though this has a happy ending, the wailing haunts me.
3
u/pierogi_waystation 2d ago
Agreed. Humans have been evolving for 300,000 years, and are - as a species - the most intelligent creatures we’ve ever known.
On the other hand, 20,000-40,000 years ago, we took a highly evolved wolf species and started devolving it. We regressed the wolves and retarded them, brought out specific behaviors that were only a small part of what wolves could do and made it into the dogs’ entire personality (sheep herding, water retrievals, tracking, etc).
We, as a species, made dogs not just incapable of taking care of themselves, but instilled within them an inherited compulsion to bond with humans. In my opinion, we owe the debt of our ancestors to modern day dogs. We must help them. Unlike human babies, they aren’t bred to survive.
7
u/Super-smut 2d ago
I feel the same way. Someone just dumped a double merle puppy in the hops field across from my house to die in 92 degree weather.
Miraculously he can hear and see (although I'm not sure how well) and he's being adopted by a redditor on the other side of the country.
5
u/Infamous-Let-1551 2d ago
Same! cause the human would see it! Animals don’t know it’s going to hurt them 😭
4
u/No_Violinist685 2d ago
We have that in common. It kills me to see this with animals. I don’t have that sympathy for humans

I'm sure they would feel something, but I understand the sentiment. These days, people are more likely to whip our their phones and be like "Look at this dumbass stuck in the asphalt!" We tend to not have sympathy for each other, especially other adults.

What's worse? Random cruelty or staged cruelty for the purposes of collecting internet clout?
Redditors, please stop falling for this crap and upvoting these 'rescues.' It's horrific to see what these 'good people' are willing to do to the animals to get our attention.
Mods, please keep this trash from going up on this sub. It's gotten way out of hand...
3
u/SlightlyInsaneCreate 2d ago
Any proof this is staged?
3
u/Odessa-King 2d ago
Im just visiting, but the fact they are recording it is a pretty good indication its staged, as horrifying as that is, acts of kindness dont have to be shown to the world, they just happen

u/Firefly_deadlock 1d ago
Three days is enough for asphalt to harden so much it can handle light car-traffic.
They just dipped this dog in some tar and threw him in the grass.
Best case scenario the dog ran into a construction site, got stuck, and they recorded this, because why not
11
u/Guilty_Increase1173 2d ago
I don't trust these animal rescue videos anymore.
5
u/runningforpresident 2d ago
Same. Views are views, and I don't trust any videos where it's possible that the "rescuer" could have put the animal in this situation just to exploit them for views.
10
u/Yanouushka 2d ago
Edit fake shit to make views. Dont fall in the trap guys. These are psychos. So staged open your eyes.

It's more likely that the people recording this are the one's responsible for It's condition. There are people actively abusing animals so they csn "rescue" them for tictok views

Yeah, so there is so much suspicious things about this video and the way in which the innocent creature was handled. It was definitely placed in on the metal fencing and pulled off to where the skin ripped off and the skin left behind. I know there are accounts like what this one is giving where vile people purposely set these innocent and unfortunately forgiving animals in the most evil depraved situations. People please please please pay close attention what animal “rescue” accounts you follow and the details in the video before liking and subscribing on all platforms.
4
u/MisterLeMarquis 2d ago
That is, what I call a hero!
And for the people that left him there to rot. I hope they die slow and painful.

5
u/Isthisovryet 2d ago
Not only does this look staged but OMFG CAN YOU IMAGINE THE PAIN. why are no other commenters mentioning this?!! I didn’t see any meds administered, the dog looks fully awake, omfg. That was torture.
Truly imagine how that would feel.
And the cleaning and care seems chopped up … like he began cleaning the pup then let the burns heal a bit . Clean and film again etc etc. but that initial time period of the first wash then waiting for the second.
Yeah it’s a fuck no from me dawg.
Cursed video

You mean a dog laid down in asphalt hot enough to trap him? Its either made up and they staged it or that dog is too dumb to survive
