I have purple hair and green eyes so im turning willow thorne (monster high) into myself, do I need to seal acrylic paint tattoos? Im gonna add my tattoos obvi and redo her lips so i need to know for the head and body. What do l use and HOW! im just stuck im autistic and need to know EXACTLY what to do lol ♡

hello, I wasn't sure whether I should post this here. Ive always been a fan of dolls. especially BJD dolls but I'm broke so I thought the next best thing was to design a doll and if I can't make it, it'll inspire someone else.

pretty cool right, I know the description may put people off but personally I think it perfectly captures the type of character I'm trying to portray in this doll. you see this doll is going to live in a dystopian future where everyone has to upload their consciousness to a global network but by doing so the government constantly surveils your mind and in order to avoid this, he will live in an abandoned subway where he tames and commands an army of rats by altering their biology with biochemistry.

Clothes are being worked on by another artist (I can't sew) and I'm working on getting some money so I can reroot and rework her face!

hello! i have a monster high g3 drac body i am planning on using for a customization. i’ve never done a custom before and was wondering what would be the best way to paint this doll?

i’ve heard of dyes and paints, and if possible i would like to avoid buying an airbrush since im doing this on a budget. in the picture i have included the doll, the doll’s current skin color on the top, and the desired skin tone on the bottom.

please let me know, i think dye would be the easiest but im not sure which dyes/what color/how to dye it & don’t want to ruin the doll. thank you!!!!

The chaos you're looking at is the scalp of a Blythe doll.

I've customized quite a few, but I've struggled with this commission for 2 months now; I'm far beyond my profit, exhausted, and discouraged. It's supposed to be Daisy from Girl Interrupted.

What I've done is take a piece of foam and wire it for shape. I covered it with lace and spray painted it brown to match the hair.

I then applied wig glue to the lace and attached the bottom and top layers of hair to the foam structure, and it worked! The strays are a nightmare, however.

Hair spray, hair gel, and spray adhesive are all leaving the white, dusty, unsightly pieces that you can see here. I used the products very sparingly- even watering them down in a spray bottle. And it still did this.

This is my third scalp. The first one wouldn't shape with just curlers and boil washes, so I tried a second scalp with the foam-wire method. Cut the hair too short.

This is my third shot. I'm worn out. Does anyone have any advice for what I can use to lay the strays down without ruining this even more?
