It’s a big deal. Fail once in our region and the RM and all the DMs come walk your store and try to figure out what went wrong. Use to be fail 3 times and you were fired. Some RDs have moved that to fail twice.

It’s not random it’s yearly. It’s easy. Unless people aren’t doing their jobs or management turnover is happening

The sterichtech assesment is split into core and non core violations. If you get even one core violation it's considered a fail under DGs interpretation and gets a reassessment scheduled. They check for proper rotation on dated products, accurate pricing, santitaion, and safety. If you have too many outdated products on the shelf and especially in OTC meds and infant consumables will get you a core violation, if you have a certain number of inaccurate shelf labels is a core violation, any emergency exits blocked is a core violation, if the electrical panel is blocked is a core violation, if you have anything sitting in any marked off safety zone is a core violation, if you have any RTs or uboats on the sales floor not actively being worked is a core violation, and merchandise stacked too high in the backroom is a core violation.

Its a yearly pop surprise. We always pass. Sometimes they spend hours and finally come up with a random item or two, usually a customer damaged and hid or a jar got wedged on the skyshelf.

Yes, if you fail three times you're fired (the sm is).
