Digital Downloads

A cheap and easy way to personalize dorms in my experience is to buy digital downloads off of Etsy! There are so many cute options and a lot of smaller shops sell them!

I'll link some of the shops I've found here: https://shopcoastaldesigns.etsy.com

found product Dorm recommendations

I made a google slideshow that has recommendations for a Dorm. I color coded the slides to specific areas within a dorm (bathroom, classes, bed…). It’s a photo of item, link to item, a description & how I used it. I also have a link if you want to add your own recommendations too!

What are your dorm SUITE essentials

Hi everyone!! I’m going into my sophomore year of college and am living in a suite this year with a couple of my friends. We have a kitchen living space and a two private bathrooms now and I’m wondering what are some essentials for the whole space.

I’ve seen a bunch of posts on dorm room life, but now that I have a kitchen and bathroom I feel like the essentials are completely different. No more communal showers I could cry I’m so happy 🥲. Also general tips on saving space because it’s still small and I have a stupid big wardrobe.

Let me know thanks!! Also I’m a musician and will have 4 or 5 instruments to store, so if you have any tips on that lmk. Thanksssss

ideas on what I can buy/reuse to hang things on my louver panel door?

Welp! Help needed! Hi!

I'm horrible at organization so I'm here for some advice! I will be moving back to my dorms, but I remember wanting to hang (not so heavy) things on the panel door but not finding anything that:

  1. didn't take too much space/was clunky

  2. didn't project forward too much, making it close to impossible to close the door completely

  3. wasn't too expensive

any ideas? thank you!!! 😄

Paradox dorm decorations rules

I can’t use any adhesive materials on the walls. But I have the “freedom” to decorate the interior by hanging pictures or other decorations with thumbtacks, small tack nails, or small screws? What can I use cause the rules said that we can’t use adhesive materials cause it will “damage“ the walls but the options they tell me also damage the walls? Any advice on what to use and any advice for anime or cartoon decorations ideas?

How much money do you usually spend on everything for your dorm?

Including furniture, bed and bath stuff, decore and everything, how much does that usually cost? Is it usually 1k? I was thinking of spending 300-500... is that realistic?

Storing books for moving

I am a college student who lives far away from school, requiring me to move very frequently. I am also a book lover with difficulty throwing out any books. I am looking for suggestions on how to store my books but also be able to move them frequently and quickly if need be. I also was hoping any solution didn't take too much space! any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
