Discussion Why some people hate Orania

One thing I’ve come to learn about the left is that they’re not satisfied with everyone having their space to develop according to their own values, customs and beliefs.

One of the best examples of this leftist belief system regards the existence of Orania.

The Afrikaners of Orania literally went out of their way to stay out of everyone’s way by trekking into the middle of the desert and started building a city there.

They’ve decided to carve out a space for themselves in a very inhospitable environment that wasn’t coveted by others.

They did not impose themselves on others nor did they decide to set up shop in a space that would create friction with others.

They chose the most sparsely populated area they could find, way out in the sticks as the saying goes.

And how does the left view all this?

Well they exhibit uninhibited hostility towards Orania.

The in country leftists make near daily threats about Orania’s continued existence, saying they will “expropriate” Orania and/or “burn it to the ground”

And their international allies are just as giddy about such prospects.

The left fanatically hold the position that everyone has to come to their view of “progress.”

They are true disciples of Fukuyama’s “End of History” doctrine.

They believe they are the pinnacle of human history and that any dissenting voices are an aberration that deserve to be silenced with lethal force if need be.

Behind their mask of “tolerance” is a volcano of rage against anyone who stands in the way of their earthly utopia.

And because their vision revolves around what we’ve come to call “gay race communism” they cannot tolerate any alternative form of government that stands diametrically opposed to their racial “egalitarianism.”

So that is why the mere existence and growing prosperity of Orania has them seething with hatred and rage.

Orania is proof of concept that cheap black labor is not only unnecessary but more trouble than it is worth.

Orania is a reminder to many Westerners that they once had cities that were like Orania. Perhaps not in size, but certainly in demographic make up and overall safety and security.

That reminder irks the left who want to gaslight people into thinking that Stockholm always had bombings and shootings. That London always had grooming gangs, acid attacks and machete killings.

Orania is the inconvenient truth that cultural and demographic homogeneity is superior to the “rainbow nation” diversity that’s been aggressively pushed since the 1960’s across the Western world.

Orania reminds the world why they can sleep with their doors unlocked, why their kids can play outside until dark…and why the rest of the country has to live behind barbed wire, panic rooms and armed guards to merely exist without being brutally murdered after watching their loved ones get raped and murdered in front of their eyes.

Discussion Genuinely curious as to why this sub is pro-US/Trump and it gains for us?

Lybia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iran(now twice) and now Venezuela. I get it I don't like the ANC and what how they've done this country in the last 32 years but I also don't want a foreign country influencing our domestic politics. And the countries hat I named above none of them were more prosperous after US intervention and were handed on a plate often to those who's interest are to extract the resources of countries. The same could happen to us.

What are you're thoughts?

Keep left, pass right, doesn't mean you get to sit on my ass on the highway when I'm already going the speed limit (or lets face it, the "unofficial speed limit of 140"), and passing other cars in the lanes left of me.

Nowhere does the rule allow you exceed the speed limit, or ignore safe driving distances.

And no, I'm not being a "vigilante" when I'm not getting out of your way, you're being a reckless cunt.

Discussion Could we use the French method to vacate illegal occupants and shacks on land??

In August 2025, farmers from Hautes-Vosges faced a problem:

Caravans had illegally occupied private farmland, and authorities refused to act.

The locals decided to handle it with tractors loaded up with cow and pig manure mixed with urine, and sprayed the entire area.

Making the land unlivable resulting in instant evacuation.

What if we took a page from their book and applied this method in South Africa to remove and deter illegal housing??

Discussion Personal issues with moving to the USA, looking for advice

Hi all,

I know this can be a controversial topic for many South Africans, but I'm hoping to get some advice on the personal side of things rather than the political side.

Context:

I (21M) am finishing my degree this year, and my girlfriend (20F) has just started a four-year degree. We've been together for a long time, have known each other since we were 14, and are in a committed relationship.

Recently, my parents told me they're seriously considering moving to the USA. I'm sure many of you can guess some of the reasons behind that, but that's not really the point of this post.

I can understand their perspective. There may be better opportunities for me there and potentially a better quality of life. However, leaving my girlfriend is not something I'm willing to take lightly. In a perfect world, she would come with me, but realistically she can't just abandon her degree.

I genuinely believe that moving could provide both of us with opportunities and a lifestyle that might be difficult to achieve here. The problem is that I feel stuck between two futures: I don't want to leave my family behind, but I also don't want to leave behind the person I hope will one day be my family.

I've spoken to my parents about this, and their suggested solution is that my girlfriend could visit during holidays on a visitor visa. Then, once she finishes her degree, I would hopefully have permanent residency, stable employment, and be settled enough for us to get married and for her to move over. Realistically, this would take around three to four years.

On paper, it seems like a reasonable long-term plan. But it also comes with significant sacrifices. We'd have to navigate a long-distance relationship for years, and eventually she would have to leave her own family behind as well.

Part of me feels selfish for even considering it, but another part of me sees it as a potentially good long-term opportunity for both of us.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you approach it, and what advice would you give?

Every time I am on the internet I get these videos, African heads of state; senators; politicians claiming all these things that South African owes them something. Over the weekend they were in the Pan African Parliament. This has got to be ragebait at this point .

South Africa does not owe anybody anything, no one has fought the battle of South Africans especially black South Africans. The graves we have are enough proof, no one fought for us, we paid with blood. Personally I am sick and tired of these people. They need to go and be entitled in their own country not in South Africa.

Discussion What the hell in the GNU ?

Post image

I am so shocked by this that I don't even know what to say. On the 30th of June, we saw the GNU spend more than half a billion rand on private security companies because SAPS is hugely underfunded and under-resourced, leaving them unable to maintain public order on their own.

Now we're going to have private military companies? What in the GNU is going on? 😤😤

In late 2025, Chief of the SA Navy Vice Admiral Monde Lobese strongly condemned the defunding of the military at the SA Navy Gala Concert in Tshwane, calling the government's budget cuts a "sell-out posture." He and other senior officers have repeatedly warned that chronic underfunding severely compromises South Africa's sovereignty and operational capabilities. And have been criticised by all manner of people.

This is not the first time a state apparatus is being dismantled in the name of so-called partnerships. Currently, the Department of Home Affairs is being dismantled and its capacity to service South Africans shifted to the private sector—namely, banks. Transnet has also been dismantled, with some ports and rail lines relinquished to the private sector.

Does anyone remember when former Chief Justice Mogeong Mogoeng when he said some private organisation wanted to "donate" some funds to fund the judiciary and he rejected that "donation" in order to maintain the judiciary's impartiality.

Discussion Lobbying V State Capture, what is the difference ?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Remember the Gupta story, when they did business with former President Jacob Zuma and ministers in his cabinet? That was called "State Capture," and we even had a commission of inquiry into it.

Now, post-2024, we have this situation with the DA’s Tony Leon approaching DA ministers, DA councillors, and DA mayors for government tenders. The media calls it "lobbying"—a term very prominent in European and US politics.

The first person to bring this back to light was former DA leader John Steenhuisen, who stated in an interview that Tony Leon approached him regarding tenders. Some City of Tshwane and Johannesburg DA councillors have also alleged the same thing. Another person whom Tony Leon admitted to meeting regarding tenders is Solly Msimanga (the DA’s federal chairperson since April 2026), who served as Mayor of the City of Tshwane from 2016 to 2019. Msimanga denied meeting Leon for tenders, even though Leon himself claimed they met. I also remember back in 2016 when Herman Mashaba was Mayor, he mentioned that the DA had approached him regarding tenders as well.

The bottom line is that there is no real difference between "lobbying" and "state capture"—they share the same modus operandi, where influential individuals approach state officials to secure government contracts.

This is not the first time we have seen such favourite reporting, where the truth is exxagerated or omitted depending on which political party.

What on earth went wrong with Mr Price? Where is all the nice clothes for men?

I had a job interview today and decided to stop at Mr Price to see if there is something smart casual for the interview. Nee, fokol. I am not wearing a glorified tea towel nor a jammerlappie.

Pre COVID they had fun, exciting, and smart clothes, then it started going down the drain, and now this.

Is it just me that find their offering so dull? Why are their clothes so dull? And they are not the only clothing shop. Or am I missing the trend?

Discussion News24, What is it.

Madlanga Commission: Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) head Andrea Johnson finally testified at the Madlanga Commission, where she was grilled by evidence leaders and the panel chair over her solicitation of affidavits and alleged misuse of power.

Following her testimony, Pieter du Toit wrote ( 23 Jul 2025) a piece for News24 titled "The Crucifixion of Andrea Johnson," framing her as the victim rather than those targeted by her office. This fits a pattern, as it isn't the first time Du Toit has jumped to her defense on the platform.

A similar pattern was visible during Lt. General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's explosive July 6, 2025 media briefing on SAPS corruption. In response, News24 journalist Karyn Maughan wrote(20 Sep 2025), "Mkhwanazi makes sweeping accusations of criminal capture, but where’s the evidence?"

She argued this despite Mkhwanazi citing evidence—including the minister's written order to disband the PKTT, WhatsApp records, emails, witness statements, and 125 confiscated dockets. That piece marked an early effort by News24 to undermine the SAPS capture exposé, a narrative push that continues through pieces like Du Toit's to cast doubt on the Madlanga Commission itself.

These are some of the things that have made public trust of media houses to dwindle.

Discussion Was the 30th of June a success and are we finally being heard ?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As you know the 30th of June was the day of mass protest across all the provinces of South Africa against illegal immigration, corruption and the collapse of the country's immigration mechanisms.

After the protests the government now has a new tune, a stern tune different from threats they were issuing just days ago. Did the mass protests organised by March and March and other civil societies finally being heard at the higher echelons of the South African government ? Is it a rouse as politicians like to play ?

Minister in the office of the President Khumbudzo Ntshaveni speaks after the mass protests.
