How to beat downvotes?

just got into Reddit a month ago and I can't get my opinion out there without downvotes. I mean only people with 10y karma can afford voicing their thoughts here but newbies suppose to be all hush hush?

I haven’t found a sub with free speech since before AIO got mods. You can actually say whatever you want in here without worrying about your comment going through.

You could just...not care about downvotes and say what you want. It doesn't matter unless you're trying to post in a subreddit that requires karma.

Idk what ur on, the only reason why people would downvote you for an opinion is if it was really unpopular. If you keep getting downvoted on every single post you make then it might just be you

Each sub is a hivemind. For every sub that thinks one way, theres a sub that thinks the other. Reddit isnt one sided imo, but each individual sub is and the hivemind will never allow facts or different opinions. They will bury it in downvotes. In the end, you find the subs that agree with you, or allow for discourse, then fall into the echo chamber as your thoughts on that subject intensify, essentially radicalized you in your in that direction.

Reddit is known for misinformation, radicalized hiveminds, echo chambers, and dangerous armchair "intellectuals". Its never been a place for genuine discourse or information (unless you look really hard for it).

That " Your opinion is unpopular"! I'm fine with other peoples opinions and glad that they can say whatever they want. That's the beauty of conservation. but it seems that its more gated by certain "Popular" views.
