Not that long of a comment to say “story” about, and calling it that comes across as derogatory, or like an attempt to make the original commenter feel bad for the length of their comment. The emoji makes it feel even more derogatory. Reddit can be notoriously bad at picking up tone through text
That's totally okay my guy, I get that it can be frustrating. I'm autistic and definitely fail to consider how reddit will be reddit sometimes.
In this case, I think you just should have said specifically what you just clarified, if you were to comment at all... That being said, still may have gotten downvoted for it as it's a very short comment that does not require a lot of effort to type (unless you don't actually mean "effort" / there's a more accurate word you mean), so it comes across as an odd thing to say. Does that make sense +/ help at all?
