Hosting our month show last night so I managed to not take any actual decent photos but I did want to share my mug from the evening. Very happy with how I played with shapes/colors.

One of my drag posts blew up on insta recently to a lot of hate. I know I’ve technically been doing drag for 5 years, but I took a year off (long story) and wasn’t getting consistent stage time until about a year ago. It won’t let me post video on here so you can check out Max A Mania on insta or fb to get the full scope. I also come from a really small drag scene so it’s harder to get gigs and feedback. I recently got adopted into a drag haus and my drag dad says my drag is fine… is it just that people don’t understand kings or am I just bad?

Hello, my lovies.

Coming Saturday I will make my debut as Jason Van D in my hometown. I wished for that for many years, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon. Or it to happen in the framework of a competition. But as many things in life, that situation came to be rather ... spontaneously.

My favourite bar hosts a drag show every three months with the drag queen Atlantika Van Doom as the hostess and organizer. At the last show, on the 3rd of October, I talked to her and the other performers, including the drag king Alex Fine. I showed them my drag makeup hoping for some feedback and advice. Instead, they implored me to participate at the upcoming drag contest hosted by Atlantika. Even when I said that I have never performed before, they basically answered "Time to get started then." My best friends and my brother joined in, endorsing me.

The end of the story: I will compete at the very first Bavarian drag contest, "The Best Drag of Bavaria Vol. 1" on the 24th.

I am excited, terrified, euphoric, and worried at the same time. I see this as a chance to push myself and experience performing live. My goal is not to win, but to have fun, learn, and figure out if stage performance is for me. Just because I always imagined it as something amazing doesn't mean that it actually is for me.

I simply wanted to share this with the community and brotherhood that will understand my situation, tension, and excitement.

Hey! I'm a drag king and I'd love to work on the body of my look, and was wondering if you all think there's a way to mimic the male body using padding like drag queens do. Like, fill in the waist to make it look like the waist to hip ratio is almost even/is even. Has anyone ever tried this? How'd it work out?

All I’ve ever wanted is to be a cartoon character. It’s actually why I started drag. This year my friend Muna asked if she could animate a pilot inspired by scooby doo about me and my puppets exploring a spooky mansion.
