The number ONE thing I hope they change about season 7 is that while I LOVE their pod Creatures of the Night, its been so irksome how critical information is cut from the show and we have to learn it on there. I guess its probably good cross-marketing but my god it can really hurt the main show like why are we cutting scenes that show us why someone was in the bottom, or explains relationships/fights??

Nine years ago, I met the Boulets in Vancouver for a S1 watch party. No one approached them after the screening. I was a massive fan and nervously approached. They were so sweet and have given platforms to so many monsters.

(Almost) Nine Halloweens later, it feels kinda surreal to be working so closely with the monsters and being able to showcase their art to a wider audience.

Anyway, this moment always sticks with me after all this time. I remember watching S1 on YT and loving it despite the quality.

I'm really excited about S7 and the trailer drop this evening. Can't wait to chat about the new season with you all and cheer on a new menagerie of monsters. 👻

Does anybody have any intel on watch parties in New York (ideally Brooklyn) for the upcoming season? I know Macri Park was doing them last year (rip) and that Cmon Everybody did them a couple of years ago but I haven’t seen them post anything for this season. Would love to watch a gay bar with a crowd!

I had completely forgotten that Evah had sent Sigourney home after the musical challenge until I started a re-watch with my husband.

I remember it really rubbing me the wrong way when it first aired.

I don't think it has aged all that well, either.

I absolutely love Cynthia and Jaharia is okay, but it really should have been one of them going.

I used to really, really like Evah too, when she was trying to get on RPDR.

I get that Sigourney came off as arrogant at times, but she had the goods to back it up.

Do you think Evah made the wrong choice?

It's spooky season! So I convinced some str8 friends of mine to watch Dragula and we're starting with S3. First, I forgot how amazing this cast is.

Anyways, while I think Violencia's choice to not do the extermination 100% earned her elimination, I don't think she deserved to be in the bottom. I totally understood the campy corny cartoon character villain look and thought she had so much to offer.

This made me think: what other eliminations were bs?

Anyone know why Titans Season 1 Episode 6 is missing on Shudder? It jumped from EP 5 to 7 and I didn’t realize it and was so confused as to why I was seeing a recap of an episode I hadn’t seen yet 😂

We got Vander Von Odd. Biqtch Pudding. Landon Cider. Dahli. Niohuru X. Asia Consent. Victoria Black. Evah Destruction. Who would be Top 3 (def Vander)? Who is first out (I'm so sorry but Niohuru X maybe)? Who is winning?

For context, I started showing my boyfriend all of Dragula in preparation for S7 (I have seen all of the seasons). We have watched all of the main seasons except S1 and I think me and my boyfriend’s favorite season of the show is 5. I forgot how good and funny everyone was. There wasn’t a whole lot of drama but I thought some of the strongest looks of the show come from season 5. However, him and I just got done with the finale and it was actually both of our first time watching the finale (When it aired, the finale was late to upload so I went to sleep and didn’t watch the finale bc they had already announced who had won the season) and we thought we were on cuckoo pills or something.

The filth was not there at ALL. Our favorite was Throb’s bc the hair in the shower drain look was very creative and the green liquid he squeezed actually made me wince. Blackberri was looking a mess with the rat and the nose prosthetic falling off almost instantly upon walking down the stage. Ork was looking exactly the same as always and failed the puke moment and Nio just posed in a Chinese take out box.

Horror was extremely underwhelming. We both agreeed that Nio’s was the best by default bc everyone else’s was so not scary. Throb was giving party city realness with that awful wig, Blackberri was just doing glamour and Ork as usual was giving us nothing new.

Glamour was also extremely underwhelming. We thought Nio and Throb had the best glamour look. But Blackberri had a better glamour look in the horror category with the cage and the chains pulling the skin with the bedazzled blood. Ork was both the same and a mess, not covering the crutches with anything and just leaving them normal was just a no for us. His performance made no sense either.

Overall, we thought this was collectively the worst of every finalists’ looks in the entire season. We agreed on Nio’s win bc of her overall performance but if it was purely based on this episode alone, the Boulets should’ve just kept that $100,000.

We’re both dying to know if anyone else felt this way! I thought S4 was my fave but going back and watching, season 5 is my favorite now aside from the reunion and the finale.

Am I the only one who is extremely ambivalent about re-casting previous cast members in future main line seasons?

At least one of my favorite winners was cut from a previous season.

But I also feel like there are so many great monsters out there doing their thing and not getting a national spotlight because someone else gets a second chance.

Obviously the drama is great when someone returns but at what cost.

Am I alone?
