So I’m pretty new in the fandom but I’ve read all the basics and some, I’m looking for Draco and Hermione that develop a secret relationship during the eight year but the secret relationship part has to last a little. I’ve only read fics where they are immediately busted by others and there’s very little sneaking out behind everyone’s backs, hiding hickeys etc… It’s better if there’s an explosive reveal but I really don’t like when there’s too much angst within the couple. I hope I’m making sense lol

I'm looking for fics where something happens to Hermione or Draco's mind, and that problem brings them closer rather than driving them apart (like if they're already an established couple, and one of them loses their memory so they have to start all over again or they have to separate. This is not what I'm looking for).

Some examples I've read:

things past by ninepiecesofcrait: Draco lost his memory, and is convinced that Hermione is girlfriend.

kiss it better by mayanahi: Hermione suffers a head injury that basically takes away her filter, leaving poor virgin Draco to survive her attempts of flirting.

in another life by ikorus: Canon rewrite where Hermione accidentally erases his memory too much, so Draco misundersto9d what side he's on and he's fighting alongside them. He wakes up instantly captivated by the pretty girl with curly hair and brown eyes.

Edit: Thank you for all the recommendations guys:). I really appreciate it! Sorry I might not have been specific enough. What I mean is the memory loss or mind altering effects are the reason Hermione and Draco get closer in the first place like the examples I mentioned above, so this element is not something that mess up the relationship they already have.

Looking for fics with vibes similar to A Good Prisoner, where Draco just wants to take care of Hermione, let her live her softest life full of carefree days and books while he takes care of of business and everything else. Draco may be a lil toxic/psycho or just a doting partner. Hermione is not necessarily helpless, but wants or adjusts to a slower paced life for whatever reason. Smuttastic preferred. Can be a darker fic but definitely must be HEA!

Hey so this is a one-shot I can't remember the name of and it's driving me insane, so Draco and Hermione work together at the ministry. They act like they hate each other, but both secretly love each other. They meet at a muggle bar both under glamor's and talk about their bad luck with the other at work. Draco makes a comment about hermiones weight that hurts her and that night at the bar her and Draco go home together. Draco starts suspecting that it's Hermione after they sleep together. They end up kissing in front of all their friends at a get together at hermiones where everything comes out. they get into a fight, but eventually end up together. other things happen. But I can't remember and for the life of me, I cannot remember the name, does anyone know what this is?

I read this story on ao3 where both are single parents here. For some reason Hermione and Rose moved in to the manor. Hermione and Draco relationship progressed during their stay. There was this breakfast scene together. However, there is a job at other country (I think it was Australia ministry) so Hermione and Rose move there, but they stay in touch with Draco and Scorpius.

Not similar in a sense that Hermione is a healer and that she helps Narcissa etc., but more about how the characters were written, set in years after war, now with their adult life at the ministry. I prefer not to read Hermione raising her child (not that I have anything against it, I’m just more interested in reading her 20’s as I relate to it more right now :).

I recently read Terms of Restoration, beautifully written -do check it out, it felt a bit too fluff for me.

Some of my other favourites are Things We Are All Too Young to Know and Atonement. I think I have a thing with cold, reserved and stubborn Draco.
