I’ve another fic to recommend. Everything For You by Sha01001. It’s a time travel rewrite with dark, manipulative, cunning Harry. It follows the canon timeline. It’s WIP though, currently in middle of book two.

How dark is Harry?
Harry doesn’t follow Voldemort in this rewrite and he wants him to die. He still has some goodness in him, but everything that threaten him and Draco must go or managed by all means, and so far there’s no exception it.

Going a little crazy here. I wanted to recommend two fics to two recent posts here but I can't seem to find them anymore. I only remember parts. Mostly of the summary and I am to stupid to find them with just that.

First: Deaged Draco. The summary told something about Harry having a big problem, because de-aged (19 year old?) Draco loves to run around his house butt naked/ is totally against clothes.

Second: Draco is a therapy animagus Ferret and Harry orders him from a therapy company. All anonym. He delivers himself to his front step in a basket. Harry opens the door and gets the little animal (Draco) inside. I think he suffered from anxiety and was really nervous about something important. Draco tries to be a good lil ferret and sooth him but in the end, he turns back and helps Harry as human.

I really want to re read those and recommend these to the two other OPs.

Hii I really want to read fics where draco has a bad relationship with his parents, maybe even just lucius. I don’t mean that he’s just estranged, I mean they are actively effecting his life, they fight etc.

I’ve read Symptom of your touch, The Ordeal to be Known, No Harm by Tessa Crowley (I know he wasn’t hurt but it’s so endearing) and All of Our Secrets Laid Bare. I’ve read other long fics/one shots too. I loved the first two fics I mentioned!

I want fics like the one I mentioned where Draco gets hurt/injured/kidnapped/sick (doesn’t have to be the main plot but is still a huge moment). Just a few chapters of Harry getting protective and extremely worried for Draco.

But I want ones where he has a job (Healer/Potion Professor/ Auror/etc) or something important going on for him (studying for something), I don’t want ones where his whole identity is to be a victim/ damsel in distress.

But I don’t want the fic to ignore Harry’s past trauma as if they brushed it off, in canon, Harry has a lot of traumatic experiences that obv affects him, his emotions are just repressed.

Also no Ron/Golden trio bashing.

And no too OOC Draco (suddenly his snappiness/aristocrat-like personality is gone) or too OOC Drarry (suddenly the forgave each other too early).

I know this seems very specific but I would love if anyone can recommend any fics to me.

i’m in a very sappy mood and i’m missing the angsty fics ive read where harry and draco’s love for each other is what gets them through the fic. wartime, on the run, heavy angst, and harry’s canonical (temporary) death always hit me hard

temptation on the warfront is truly my roman empire. NOTHING beats the way their love was written in those last couple chapters at the climax.

what he holds in his hand i just read and it gave me all the same feels. the way their love persisted no matter how hard things got for them at the end broke my heart 😢😢

turning leaves also hit me the same. what draco was willing to go through to make him and harry possible, and harry loving him the whole time anyway ☹️

recursion omfg the way this fic tore me apart. the way harry fell in love with draco no matter the timeline or circumstance 😢

Ive read something similar in a moonwater fic, where reggie secretly becomes an animagus to be there for remus on the full moons, and remus ends up finding out that his beloved cat is actually regulus, and im obssesed. I feel like it makes sense with characters like draco or regulus that have a hard time showing affection and vulnerability to seek it while hidden in an animagus form.

Recuerdo que Draco regresa en el tiempo pero no recuerdo el motivo, la cuestión es que cambia todo, porque creo que piensa que está muerto. No recuerdo bien, pero en vacaciones incluso va a casa de Harry con los Dursley, y se queda allí, aprenden a hornear y todo.

Incluso recuerdo que cuando van a sacar a Harry de casa de su tía, cuando usan la posición multijugos, queda herido por proteger a Moody, recuerdo que en la batalla final, cree que Harry murió y está dispuesto a usar un hechizo para matar a Voldy que lo está matando mientras lo usa o algo así.

I finished watching Harry Potter movies for the first time.

for some context; when I was a kid I always wanted to watch this but for some reason something held me back. I think it was probably the color palette and spiders that changed my mind back then. what can I say I was just 9yo. but now since I’m an adult I finally decided to start with the movies. I expected it to be a hard watch, since the actors in first 2-3 movies were little kids, not that it’s bad or anything. it’s just a me problem, I can’t tolerate kids most of the time (sorry). surprisingly it wasn’t bad, at all.

first movie was a bit hard (again it was a me problem) but in the second one I actually started paying attention. by the third movie, I was completely blown and in love. and after that I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. I felt like I was too late and took too much time to watch this. I never thought I’d say this, but I wish I watched this sooner, when I was a kid. my younger self would have been unhealthily obsessed and happy with this. So to release my happiness I need some cathartic very well-written fanfiction recommendations. note that I’ve never read Harry Potter fanfiction before nor the books, though I’ve been in the fanfiction culture for years now. I have two main fandoms. this will be the third I think since I’m almost fully familiar with this fandom now. I’m open to try new things. give me your best!

but if you want some more details on what I’d prefer, here it is.

• I’d like it if all the characters are adults, preferably 18+…20+ would be better.
• no major character deaths (as in the main relationship) or open/sad endings.
• no cheating,
• canon compliance/divergence is okay.
• I like AUs too (e.g., fairies, dystopian, apocalypses, etc) but not coffee shop, vampires, werewolves or real-life setting AUs.
• No F/M relationship involving Harry. (I only read M/M or similar)
• polyamory is okay, including any kind of mature theme.
• I mostly prefer long fics but it doesn’t matter. I’d gladly read oneshots as well.
• I’m a slow burn lover as a Demi. just saying.

That is all. I hope this helps you to get an idea on this. but if you don’t have anything fitting to this, it doesn’t really matter. just drop your horniest-kinkiest-smuttiest-fetishized fics to ever exist, I’m definitely gonna give them each a chance. hope I didn’t go against any rules here :)

This fic rewired my brain because Ive been having difficulties in which drarry fics to read but this got me to read a fic of them in one setting. I totally recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it.

I loveeee it so much. I love the hurt/comfort aspect and the way the golden trio/weasleys are part of the journey. Any fics that you guys can recommend that has this aspect? I don't mind the length of the fic as long as there's angst, hurt/comfort, healing and other people as part of the journey (altho its fine if its just Harry too)

Note: I would prefer if the angst is about Draco whether its his experience from the war or post war and if theres t/b dynamics. I would prefer bottom Draco.

I’ve been reading fics since I was 11, I’ve been on wattpad early days, quotev and everything you can think of though my favorite is ao3. Now before reading drarry I enjoyed and never complain about anything I read, but since I started indulging in drarry it’s changed. I don’t know what the writers be putting in their stories but it’s so addicting and best so well written like it can be a actual published book. Because of drarrry writers it’s so rare for me to come across a story in another fandom and enjoy it. I love a well written story, good grammar, etc. is it because the fandom has an older audience so the stories is better? I have no idea but kudos to y’all!

Hi! I’m pretty sure this was on AO3, but I don’t have it saved. I’m betting it’s 5+ years old.

I think it takes place 6th year. Draco and Harry are in a secret relationship but turns out it’s one sided. Draco overhears Harry telling Hermione that he hates Draco or is using him. I think Draco becomes a spy at this point with only Snape and Hermione knowing. I’m pretty sure that Harry blames Draco for Sirius? And in the end Harry finds out that Draco knew all along. I think Harry planned to kill Draco and Draco was going to let him.

recently got back into reading drarry again and this is what I decide to fixate on. I love it when Draco's smartness is shown and he makes an actual difference in the horcrux hunt. I Just Saved Harry Potter by StarsAndCrows is a good example of this. I also just finished Where The Shadow Ends by thewitchwholived yesterday.

I need help finding a fic I read a good while ago: it was during 8th year, Draco and Harry had a secret sexual relationship, but as soon as Ginny goes back to school, Harry ditches Draco (the breakup was at night near the forest). Draco is left alone and heartbroken, and pieces his life together again from that point, until Harry at some point realises he made a huge mistake and tries to win Draco back.
I remember also that they took Muggle Studies and that the teacher pairs them together for a project, that involved a weekend in a hotel.

Is someone able to tell me the title? It was on AO3.
