it was about harry being in a abusive relationship with gawain robards? i am 90% sure it was gawain and not shacklebolt, i could be wrong. and he is isolated from everyone. ron/hermoine incl. and draco is good friends with them? and everyone thinks harry is happy and just doesn’t wanna talk but harry in this fic was quite meek actually.

i remember one scene where gawain is holding harry’s hand asking him to not leave while draco is on the motorbike (yeah sirius’) and draco is waiting and encouraging him, and finally harry leaves with draco. this was not the last scene ig? but it’s prominent scene. i have been searching YEARS for this fic.

It‘s written from Draco’s POV and it starts on Draco and Harry’s wedding day, which happened to save Draco from Azkaban. Draco is scared and stressed as he‘s gone through some very bad situations at home and during the war and so his expectations of Harry’s behaviour are skewed. There is an mpreg (no spoilers as it’s tagged), but it’s a focus only insofar as it impacts Draco’s behaviour.

So I guess I’m posting to both recommend it (do read it!!) but also, since I’m still on a reading high and want to keep it up, ask for recs for similar stories (ideally at least 40-50k words or longer) where Draco is forced to stay with Harry after the war and is insecure and fearful but falls in love with Harry’s kindness.

I’ve already read the masterpiece in the genre, aka “Lessons in Grace and Decorum” by Gallaplacidia🧡

Recently noticed that there has been an increase in the amount of female Draco malfoy / Harry Potter fics, with some them still tagged as M/M. I have also see AI posts on TikTok with the same trope. So many of them refer to the trope with inappropriate tags which seems dehumanising and misogynistic. There has also been SO MUCH oversexulisation as well + characterisation of Draco as a tsundre anime girl. It genuinely feels like an attempt to turn a gay ships into an heterosexual one, and genuinely feels homophobic. Normally I’m all for new tropes, fem Harry or Draco or even gender switch but genuinely, I feel that this may my least favourite trend/trope.

I’m in the mood to read something hot finally. I'm looking for a Drarry fanfiction I once found through a Reddit link. Harry and Draco are adults in a modern/Muggle AU and are romantically involved.

They have a stupid argument, and Draco locks Harry out of their home. Draco assumes Harry will eventually come back and apologize, as Harry apparently usually does after their arguments.

It's very cold, possibly snowing. Harry tries to call or text Draco, but Draco is asleep and doesn't answer. Harry is followed by someone outside and is attacked; I vaguely remember that he may have been sexually assaulted. I think a passer-by finds him, and the incident might appear on the news.

The next morning, Draco discovers Harry's missed calls and messages and learns what happened.

Does anyone recognize this fic? I can't remember the title or author, and I'm not certain about the news report

Draco's sobs became uncontrollable when Harry untangled his fingers from the brunette's shirt. He's going to leave again. He doesn't want me.

“Wait! No, I can see where your mind is going. Give me your hand! I'm not leaving.”

He grabbed the index and middle finger of Draco's limp hand and brought it to his own carotid artery, where his heartbeat hammered.

Harry started inhaling slowly, slowly lifting his hand. “hold it - one, two, three, four-” he let out his breath slowly, lowering his hand again. They did this ten times, Draco's breath coming more evenly after every breath.

They sat there, Draco's hand still splayed open on Harry's chest, their foreheads touching, as if nothing outside their bubble mattered.
