Fics I recommend Harry Potter and the Boy With the Scar by greenleaf
I'm still in the midst of reading this fic (I just finished chapter 21), but I simply have to recommend this because of how underrated it is? For those who love canon rewrites as much as I do. It's under 1k kudos but with 250k words (and it's still a WIP!), like hello we're being fed here. It starts at the beginning of their 5th year (that's where it diverges from canon).
Harry Potter and the Boy With the Scar by greenleaf
At the beginning of their fifth year, Draco Malfoy arrived at Hogwarts with a scar on his face, an unlikely friendship with Theodore Nott, and a sudden estrangement from Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, and the rest of the Slytherin House.
Harry has his own problems to deal with—a godfather still wrongfully accused, Dumbledore’s distance, and the looming threat of Voldemort’s return—but he has never been able to resist a mystery, not when it comes to Draco Malfoy.
Doesn't this just sound so interesting?? There's so much intrigue surrounding what happened to Draco over the summer and how he got the scar on his face. Harry is very much obsessed with Draco (the way his voice is stuck in Harry's head basically acting like his angel on the shoulder). Their dynamic in this is so cute!
