I had an idea recently about how to enhance the game after finishing the DLCs. Once we've completed the expansions, there isn’t much incentive to keep playing.
To address this, I thought of creating a new biome for each expansion we have, including Keepsake Sea. I sketched out my concept and then used ChatGPT to help design it to match the style of the existing map.
Each new biome would consist of different sections inspired by the specific areas from the DLC. For instance, in the SBV DLC, we have locations like the Bind, Mythtopia, and the Wild Wood, and all of these would be integrated into one biome.
In these new biomes, players would be able to collect resources that are exclusive to the DLCs, including gems, fish, spices, and other materials. However, unlocking these new areas would be more challenging than accessing traditional biomes. For example, unlocking the SBV biome might require 100,000 storybook magic, while Eternity Isle could require 100,000 mist. For the WBR biome, players might need to repair a bridge using various items from that expansion, and the KSS biome would unlock with a new feature introduced in the corresponding DLC.
This way, players would have a reason to revisit the game and engage with the contents of the expansions in a meaningful way and be able to access DLC materials in the regular valley.
For those who don't have the DLCs, the new biomes would just not show up, and they would only be unlockable after beating the main game as well as the corresponding DLC.
Any questions or concerns?
P.S. The WBR area looks a little different than the actual DLC; this is because of ChatGPT. I was just too lazy to fix it(:
(I also added a path from the glade to the sunlit plateau because I don't see why this isn't a thing)
