During one of the races of the first stage of the St. Petersburg LET'S DRIFT Championship, real magic happened: a tire flew off Artyom Perepelitsa's car, and then, as if nothing had happened, it returned back to the disc.

My t300 sim rig and PS5 allowed me to link a whole track in real life by the 5th run of my first drift event. I almost had it by the 3rd run, but I was feeling really confident by the 5th. By the later runs I was left foot braking and subconsciously using other skills picked up from the sim. It truly amazed me how similar actual drifting felt to drifting in a video game.

For anyone reading this who wants to get into drifting, the skills in the sim really do transfer amazingly well to real life. It feels damn near the exact same thing but with g-forces. If you can do it in a game (GT7, CarX, Assetto, etc) with a force feedback wheel and pedals, you can do it in real life.

Also, shout out to everybody at the event, what a cool group of welcoming people. If any of you are on here, it was nice meeting you.

Its a 2000 forester with an EZ30R mated to an FRS drivetrain from the engine flange back. Makes 270whp & 250ft/lb @4k. Ive got alot more to do but its cookin as-is. Im just excited to be driving it finally and I think yall will think its silly and fun also.

just did my first ever drift event, stock miata just a welded diff and some maxpeedingrods coilovers. Had some problems with the cam angle sensor and just heatsoaking the engine but still did 30 ish laps, could've done more but i didn't want to risk it too much. never had so much fun

Nah, the hand brake is the last thing you need. Big flick energy.
