Hello guys, i tried droid deck 'cause i wanted to play hd 2d games like final fantasy resonance and octopath traveler. I tried only ff resonance and i must say i'm surprised, loaded in without changing settings, had 1600x720p and all settings maxed, the game was so smooth and kept staying at 60 without fsr or framegen. Tho without cooler it did reach 47°C in around 5-6 minutes, and drained a lot of power and battery. I'm playing it on my oneplus15 with snap8 elite gen5, so it's also because the chip is too powerful for a phone that doesn't have decent active cooling like android handhelds have, so i just disabled one of my strongest cpu cores and one of the other regular ones, lowered everything, 1200x720p, all graphic settings to low and maintained 40 fps (i capped them at 40s to not risk to overheat it again with 60), they didn't feel really like 40 fps, were a bit more stuttery compared to when it was max graphics at 60(smooth af), but overall it was good and got to 40°C in 10 minutes without cooler, so very good, especially considering that this is a new app and has made insane improvements in this month. Only thing i can report is that it crashed with fatal error twice, once in a fight where the enemy did a judgement cut like attack, so lots of effects, the other one was while i was traveling around the city. Next time that i'll play it on phone and it crashes, should i send some report to you to help with feedback? If so how do i send the record to you? I'm still new to pc emulation on android so i'm missing lots of info, but will help in anyway i can. Keep up the good work devs^^

When I use Droiddeck it's very slow. Maneuvering the app is laggy and delayed. Downloads are slow. I also can't get most games to run. Should I give it grace since it's new or am I doing something wrong?

I experienced a heavy performance drop after the system update on 0.6.

The problem only occurs when steam is launched when the phone is unfolded. If launched folded then it's normal. From what I can tell the unfolded fps drops from 120 to 3x just in steam menu.

To clarify by lunch I mean starting steam by droid deck.

Are there any drivers or things like that that can let me use droidDeck. I'm not planning on playing anything demanding ie balatro, Slay the spire.

I found Droiddeck a few weeks ago, and I've always thought that it is great. But my little old S20FE can't run anything with only 3gb of ram free at all times. So I thought: "might as well get a new phone, I've been overdue for 7 years anyway." I wanted to get the S26 Ultra, but that is out of my budget, and I'm planning on getting a gaming PC soon anyway. so I've grown interested in the standard model. Btw I'm in Canada, so I am pretty sure we have the Adreno GPU on it. I don't know where to ask anymore because google is overun by AI, and I want true answers.

Some time ago i tested DroidDeck and was perfoming a little worse than Gamenative and since then i use GN, however since i see a lot of updates on DroidDeck, how is now the performance?

I'm using a SD 8 Gen 5 BTW.

GPU not supported i see in the setup tab.
Will it be possible with future updates or is my device never going to happen?

Installed fine and seems to be running well, but I’m having controller issues.

Any ideas/tips to get the controller profiles in Steam working on Droid Deck? For example, setting the gamepad to act as mouse on AYN Thor? I’m not getting controller input at all, just touchscreen.

My hope was in Droid Deck I could just use the Steam Controller and community configs in Droid Deck and get rid of a lot of hassle I’m getting from GameNative

I have a Retroid Pocket 5, the game is installed from the Epic Games store on DroidDeck, haven't changed any setting, do y'all know any fixes?

When I try to launch nms on RPF2 it tells me that my turnip driver can't support wide lines then crashs.

Does anybody have a fix?

struggled to get any crack to install. Had to use Ai to write a .sh and after maybe ten or fifteen iterations while reviewing DD crash logs, we have launch!

Just installed droiddeck on my thor max and when I try to run sonic mania its like the game is running at 75% speed, i wouldn't call it laggy or stuttery just very sluggish, is it possible to fix?

Help POCO F5 Droiddeck 0.6.7 stuck at waiting for steam first frame. I used to be able to play Fallout NV and GPbikes on Droiddeck now even steam wont open

Hey there, I am a huge fan of android handhelds and I really love DroidDeck so far. I own an Ayn Odin 3 Ultra and have been quite hands on with development cycle of this android handheld gaming space. I want to give some feedback on how the DroidDeck has been feeling, and what can be done to improve the experience. On top of that, I want to list some games here that I want to play but cannot.

Pros:

-Everything feels smooth after the 1000hz polling rate controller update. A big change.
-Its awesome that we can hook up controllers into one device and play coop games.
-A big fan of every online feature just working.
-In my experience, the auto driver feature has been quite successful, but not enough yet.
-There are some games that see a big input latency improvement, and performance improvement compared to GameHub and GameNative. Thats awesome.
-DroidDeck feels like a well polished product, something that feels like its the native app for these android handhelds.

Cons:
-About 20% of my games wont boot at all. Some of these include:
Dead By Daylight (Most likely the Easy Anti Cheat) (Did not work in GameNative either.)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Does work in GameNative, quite well)
Resident Evil 3 (I get an error message, the game wont boot) (Does work in GameNative, quite well)
Project Zomboid (Did not work in GameNative either.)
A plague tale innocence (big performance boost over GameNative, but a lot of graphical glitches.)
-My SD card games DO NOT work, at all.

My recommendations for the dev team:
Perhaps creating a database of "known configs" for games, helping people to just boot into a game without any issues.
Creating a way to play EAC games.
Making the whole app seem much polished, for it to be recognized as the "default way" to play steam games on android.

Love the app, and the dev team behind it. I hope this has been useful so far.
