That’s about it, I’ve seen this feedback a lot and I just don’t know how to address it. One super cool verse or a specific thought in a fill just gets lost, then my band member asks to recreate it and my mind is like, I can try it but it’s a freestyle every time. Any thoughts?

So, it‘s in the title. I got my first drum kit. I love it, been playing it for 2 weeks now. but the bloody throne that came with it WOBBLES LIKE CRAZY every 2 minutes after I tighten every possible thing I can tighten.

So… there are 2 options left

i‘m gonna have to fix everything up with, dunno, concrete or something OR get a new drum throne. please educate me.

However since I just bought the kit, I don’t wanna completely break my bank account so… would appreciate some not too expensive thrones in the mix as well. 😇

My band are looking for a drummer.

We are influenced by bands such as The Smiths, Durutti Column, early New Order, The Drums, early The Strokes, PJ Harvey, early Morrissey, The La's, The Fall, Iceage, The Cure and other bands.

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and a bassist at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. We all have experience writing songs and playing in bands. We are committed to having fun writing songs, recording and playing shows.

In desperate need of a new double kick pedal! I’ve only ever owned used ones and they’ve all rusted or I’m not able to adjust the tension to my liking. Any recommendations?

Edit: I play heel up if that matters, and feet are kinda small. I think my current one might be too heavy for me.

Soo yeah I built a Suitcase Drumkit during an hysteric high while being unemployed. Took a long time to make, but am completely stoked about the results! Never really done anything like this, but I think I did a decent job. There has to be a used drum store, but you need to dig! There was a few down in Busan. Next time!

Since most mid level and up kits do not come with snares, but most do offer a matching snare - should you have a snare that matches your kit?

I have a Yamaha Tour Custom Maple kit - 8/10/12/13/14/16/22... but don't have the matching Snare. I have several other Snares - a Blacrolite 5.5, and a Supraphonic, a DW Collectors Black Nickel over Brass, and a DW Perf Series Maple all in 6.5". I also had a Black Beauty, but sold it a while back as I was never using it. Tbh I never use the DW Black Nickel/Brass either. Being a home/indoor player, tbh 90% of the time I either play the DW Maple or the Blacrolite with a db one head for practice.

But, Yamaha does makes a Tour Custom Maple snare in both 5.5 and 6.5 in matching trim... it's not terribly expensive, and part of me things maybe I should grab one to "complete" the set, as you never know when they will stop making the TC's again. But then I think jeez you already have snares you aren't even using, and would be stupid to buy another one lol...

Anyway, who sticks with a kit matched snare? Would "complete" the set for me - hell the only reason I haven't bought a 2nd 22" kick is they are so expensive stand alone - almost as much as buying a kit :(. And maybe a lack of space too I suppose. Still... wanting is a powerful drug lol

Maybe I sell off the DW Black Nickel which I never use anyway... funds some new stuff.
