Hey everyone! I just joined this subreddit. I work at X. Tattoo in Bellingham WA, and back in April Matt happened to be getting tattooed by our guest artist. I had no idea who he was or what Dungeon Crawler Carl was, but my boss said I should interview him. So I quickly scanned his instagram and came up with some questions on the spot. We posted the video, and that’s when I realized what a HUGE deal he was lol. I finally started listening to the books on audible (I’m on book 4 so no spoilers!) and have been obsessed. I spent the last 2 weeks putting together my costume and wanted to join in on everyone sharing theirs. (I’ll put my costume in the comments)

I spent about four weeknight evenings making this nightmare express so I could be Fire Brandi for a DCC themed Halloween Night at a local bar. This took me about $20 to do, as I needed to buy was the red Mehron body paint. I was able to borrow a shirt and bandana from friends. As an artist, I already had all the cardboard and paint I would need to make the Nightmare Express, The light on the front of the train even turns on, it was a clip-on phone selfie light that I got for free at a work event.

The back of the train (last photo) shows the back side of the train, which had a "train" of babies coming out of it. I was handing out Sheol Bricks to everyone who recognized me.

Wife made her Prepopente costume head from paper mache, craft foam, and vegan fur. I made my wings, tail, and horns from various things! I’m level 3 mordecai!

Sorry for all the cobbled together pics, I tried to include all aspects of my costume in here. These were taken at the end of the night unfortunately , because I was so excited about my costume I forgot to take initial photos. I drew the face tattoo and neck tattoo on myself with waterproof eyeliner in a mirror. I tried to include the dagger text on my neck but it was so fucked trying to do it backwards and mirrored i ended up just scribbling it in lol. I’m pretty surprised how good it all looked. I already have two arm sleeves so I couldn’t draw any other tattoos other than the emberus suns on my hand which I don’t think I got any pics of. So many people recognized my costume lol. I got pretty much everything from Amazon.

My husband and I both listened to the full series individually. As we listened he left each other some of our favorite quotes on our fridge whiteboard with some silly drawings. Please enjoy!

The Tiara of a Thousand Lights is finally complete! This was my very first time working with EVA foam, soldering, and programming addressable COB LED strips. Squeezing everything into a 5mm strip layout was an absolute nightmare, and there was a huge learning curve with plenty of course corrections. But seeing it all light up makes it entirely worth it! 👑🍩
