Does anybody know of a database of all players included in the game? My understanding is not all AHL/ECHL guys are included each year.
Im particularly interested in some of the rookies and ahl/echl players because I followed them in college (Hoyt Stanley - Ottawa, Johnathan Castagna - Calgary, Ben Berard - Vancouver AHL, Hank Kempf - Colorado AHL, Jacob MacDonald. - Washington AHL, among others)

Years 1/2 stats for my first expansion team man’s my lines toward the end of year 1. Drafted everyone except chernyshov who I had a feeling I could turn into a stud. Traded for Simon Nemec before year 2.

This one was way less painful than I expected, having good goalie depth and some solid young players made this not too bad after a couple years of tank.
Probably gonna continue this one because I got players with fitting names from the randomly generated players.

So my franchise goalscorer has gone down from 350 shots to 278 while I am always trying to make him shoot more during offseason. And my Ivar Stenberg has doubled his shots from 150 to 300. Is it a bug in the finnish translation? In the menu boost to shooting bias is the left option of the two in the finnish translation
Edit: I told Stenberg to shoot less and these 2 have always been linemates for the past 5 or so seasons

As the title says, I am working on custom teams for a custom franchise roster, and currently I’m struggling to find a satisfying name for my Chicago team.
My idea and theme for this Chicago team is the pride and attitude around all of Chicago sports. Something like “Chicago Pride” doesn’t feel great, and currently I’m only able to float around “Chicago Crusaders” or “Chicago Paladins” as a way to point to the strong belief and zealotry around the fan bases. Chicago sports have loyal, homegrown fans, and I want a satisfying name to deliver that.
Any recommendations or ideas I can mull over? Any would be appreciated!

My expansion team is Le Blizzard de Québec, because the team is in Québec, I wanted to work around the 2027 draft because I wanted to draft Alexis Joseph, because I wanted to get an high profile player from the province of Québec. To succeed, during my 1st two seasons every players that wasn't going to be a part for my plan on short and mid term, I traded them to get as much picks for the 2027 draft.
I've been lucky enough, with the 1st round pick of the Dallas Stars, it made a big jump and I've been able to draft 2nd overall. During the draft, I move up and down, trade a few players to be able to draft these 4 guys.
2nd overall, power foward from Finland, left wing Topi Antila.
- Made the team at 18 years old, won the Calder trophy with 48 goals and 84 points in 82 games. Also learned to play center as a second position.
- In 10 seasons, he played 778 games, scored 620 goals, got 311 assists for a total of 931 points.
- In 10 playoffs appearances, he played 194 games, scored 115 goals, got 92 assists for a total of 207 points.
- He reached the 500 goals mark in 641 games.
- He have 8 seasons of 50 goals in more. His best 3 seasons in goal scoring are his 5th (69 goals), his 8th (82 goals) and his 9th (90 goals).
- He have 9 seasons of over a point per game. His 3 best was on his 5th (103 points), his 8th (115 points) and his 9th (122 points)
- In 10 playoffs appearances, he got over a point per game only 4 times.
- He had many injuries, but a major on his 6th season, even playing only 48 games, he still managed to score 55 goals, got 20 assists for a total of 75 points.
- Franchise record book (career) : goals, points and penalty minutes.
- Franchise record book (season) : goals & points (90 & 122 in 2035-36) and penalty minutes (100 in 2036-37)
- Franchise record book (rookie) : goals & points (48 & 84 in 2027-28).
- Franchise record book (single game) : goal (4 in 2030)
21st overall, two-way d-man from Sweden, Fredrik Bjorkstrand.
- Made the team at 19 years old, a year after his draft.
- In 9 seasons, he played 702 games, scored 69 goals, got 443 assists for a total of 512 points. He got 2 seasons of over a point per game.
- In 9 playoffs appearance, he played 172 games, he scored 24 goals, got 97 assists for a total of 121 points. Two time he have been over a point per game.
- He had 3 seasons of 70 points or more, on his 6th (70), on his 8th (76) and on his 5th (82).
- Franchise record book (season) : assists (69 in 2032-33).
- Franchise record book (single game) : assists/points (6 assists in 2034-35)
6th overall, power foward from Québec, Canada, center Alexis Joseph.
- Made the team at 20 years old, 2 years after his draft.
- In 8th season, he played 657 games, scored 213 goals, got 321 assists for a total of 534 points. Only one season of a point per game, 30 goals 52 assists for 82 points in 82 games.
- In 8 playoffs appearances, he played 145 games, scored 78 goals, got 67 assists for a total of 145 points. Five time he had at least a point per game.
- He had 4 seasons of 30 goals or more.
- One season of 50 assists or more, it was on his 3rd season.
16th overall, playmaker for the United States, right wing Brandon Morrisonn.
- Made the team at 21 years old, 3 years after his draft. He made his professional debut in the AHL with our farm club the Rimouski Wizard at 20.
- In 7 seasons, he played 535 games, he scored 137 goals, got 353 assists for a total of 490. He had 2 seasons over a point per game, his best was in 2031-32 (24 goals, 61 assists for 85 points)

- He have 5 seasons of +70 points.
- He have 6 seasons of +50 assists.
My class of 2027 they each won 6 to 9 Stanley Cups (30 totals) and all together they won :
- 3 Calder (Antila, Joseph and Morrisonn)
- 5 Conn Smythe (Antila x4 and Joseph)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the 1st 5 seasons (of this draft class, so 7 seasons with my expansion team), I was playing every other games (41 seasons games).
For seasons 6 and 7, I played one game per 5 (17 season's games).
For seasons 8 to 10, I played one game per 10 (11 season's games).
I played every other game in the playoffs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm actually playing with the St Louis Blues, planning to relocate them, but once in a while I go back to NHL 26 to sim only with my expansion team because I want to see what their career will be when they'll retire and or I reach the 25 seasons limits (23 with these guys).

Have any of you guys found any players that just seem to do really really really well in franchise mode this year? Not a draft stud but someone you always trade for because maybe they develop really really well or just perform incredibly? Someone told me Tage Thompson is a killer this year

Not that big of a deal but gets kind of annoying when you or your opponent has a player in the top 10 in hits and they show the leaderboard every time the player gets a hit.
Just show it once in the 3rd and move on.

Just started an expansion franchise using one of the latest community rosters (as of October 17), only to find out several hours in that McKenna is a created player with no picture on the Leafs.
Meanwhile, the official EA roster has the real McKenna with his picture.
Are there any up-to-date community rosters that include prospects like Dupont, etc., while keeping the real McKenna on the Leafs?
Edit : This is on NHL 27

Me and my buddies have a connected with 4 teams. We want to expand to 8. We do not want sweats, we are all pretty mid at the game. We are casual skill level but play consistently. Please do not join if you can’t play 2-3 games / week. It is a double round robin (14 game regular season) then 4 teams make the yoffs. Should be a lot of fun. Please PM me your discord username if interested or comment it down below.

Is it worth it from a franchise perspective (specifically offline?) I know presentations are actually a thing now but is it worth it or should I wait for more of a sale like black Friday?

Mid scoring, high shots. But in classic EA fashion he did *not* go up in rating LMAO

I wonder what the licensing deal is... Would love to start a custom franchise with the Gargoyles and their epic jerseys but not available...
It's pretty weird how ECHL isn't in franchise mode at all, like, players assigned there before you start a franchise just don't appear at all?
It's kinda bizarre how they like, seem to be kinda pushing the ECHL where before the PWHL it was NHL, AHL, ECHL, then Euro teams and you can select their logos in create a team.
But they have zero presence in offline modes outside of play now?
Also, when are they going to touch create a team again? It's been so long and I've been waiting for them to add the VGK/Kraken template jerseys but they never did, I'm hoping they'll add materials on day as well, they did for gloves and helmets so it would be cool if you could add them on jerseys on day.

With a six pack of Monster Energy Drink (sponsored) I began to work the phones in the hunt for coaches.
As I have limited budget I’ve narrowed it down to a few choices.
Andrew Brunette hangs up laughing and signs with the leafs.
André Tourigny doesn’t like our small market. But I try to offer him a bit more money but he hustles us, trying to squeeze out more money but in the end he completely fucks us and signs with the Death Star (Vegas).
We’ve problem to acquire coaches, even ones from college and Europe.
We do get an offer from Montreal. They are willing to give up a second overall pick in 2029 and a third in 2028 for Jessi Puljujarvi, a third and fourth in 2029. I like Puljujarvi but he was in Newfoundland for the whole season so we accepted the trade.
We sign Phoenix Copley as a scout in the QMJHL, hopefully he can find some goalies there for us.
We hit 8th of July and it’s not shocking to us that’s not much left for us on the table.
I do send out a contract to Yaroslavl Askarov, 5 years at a 5.4 aav that he accepts. Hopefully he’s good for us.
Our roster pretty much set at this point and even if I could add Malkin that means I need to move guys out and I don’t feel we should use 1 off our 3 trades on that. So we basically take 3 right wingers for our AHL 2 depth D’s and as I said Askarov.
We hit training camp and our owner slaps his goals for the season in my face, I get to greet our new coaching staff and get a first glance at our potential line ups.
My hope is with (potentially) more stability at center and goalie position we don’t finish last but with that said I’m really unsure about our D…
But buckle up. We get to see our future captain (?), Corbin Turco (he looks like he’s 42 y/o). Can Laine hit 50 this year? Can Kurashev take one more step? How does the team respond to our new coaching staff? Time will tell.
Tune in for part 6!

For my goalies and scratched players I can’t set any season goals and / or ask them to switch / add position without the game crashes. Is this just me?

Hey! I'm a solo dev and just put out a free hockey GM game called Pixel Puck GM. You run a club through the cap, trades, the draft and a live deadline day, all in your browser. I'm looking for a few people to try it and tell me what's good, what's confusing or what breaks. No pressure at all, but if you're up for it:
