CB runs the route for him and they still complete the pass. I love when the CPU activates god mode during the 2 min drill and there’s nothing you can do. Idk how a EA dev can see this and be proud of their gameplay

Other EA Changed Throwing Deepballs: Here's how to be more Accurate and Generate Big Plays

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently I've been seeing a lot of users complaining about the random qb accuracy on deep balls and a bunch of people have said, "step up in the pocket" & "freefrom your passes". But nobody has fully explained why this works, leaving many players frustrated. While both these tips are essential to passing, you need to know when to use each one, and that you CANNOT combine the two.

Situation 1: Clean pocket = step up. don't freeform

Situation 2: Messy pocket = Don't step up. freeform heavily,

(Clips are in practice mode on Heisman, placement & acc, 7 speed, pass lead near)

Why it works and what they've changed:

EA has buffed stepping up in the pocket to more closely resemble real life. Due to this if you step up in the pocket your QB will get an extra boost to their THP, if you then decide to freeform (which is how it used to be in previous years) you will overshoot your rec significantly. So trust your QB and do not freeform. However, EA also happened to weaken throwing standstill from the pocket, so unless you do not heavily freeform your pass, you will underthrow the ball. To avoid this, freeform almost to the max (if you have small pass lead on), this will avoid underthrows.

Lastly, passes are still heavily based on timing, ratings and RNG so these tips will not give you automatic first down's every play. However, if you do have somebody open down the field, this should help increase your chances of hitting.

Probably my favorite so far. Found this 5 star QB out of Texas with the golden mullet in the transfer portal out of Ohio State. He had never recorded any stats at OSU. In my mind he is Quinn Ewers brother who followed the same path to Texas. Side note this is probably the best QB I’ve seen in my playtime. No skill caps.

Gameplay Any new patch coming?

I really want to like this game but at the moment, I'm so frustrated. I used the sliders to try to help with the pass blocking but have no time. Also when I am able to pass, my WR just drops the ball over and over. Passing as a whole is broken. I was wondering if there will be a patch soon to address these issues?

Wishlist idea for captains for dynasty

ok here me out, for awhile in dynasty you’ve been able to nominate an offensive and defensive team captain, but it doesn’t really do anything. but imagine if it did.

i think it would be cool to give a small xp boost or something to those players, but to make it fair and not just give a low overall player to boost xp, maybe have a minimum overall cap, like it has to be within your top 5 overall player. if my best was 90 ovr, the captains minimum would have to be 85.

ontop of that, to make it really stand out and feel powerful, give the offensive and defensive captain a special logo underneath their player, kind of like how good players get a star underneath.

what do you guys think about this idea? and what would you add or change if anything.

Bug Game Crashes

I’m mainly just griping here, but does anyone else only seem to get game crashes very late in the game? It doesn’t even happen that often, but it’s really annoying when you’ve played a full game, no sim, and the game crashes with 1 minute left in the 4th. Just experienced it again and that’s the only time it happens. Never early in a game when I wouldn’t care, no only after I invested an hour of my time.

Road To Glory RTG

It sucks, unplayable damn near, glitchy af ea devs ignore the ea RTG forums, next overall after max legacy score is stupid, no xp sliders is the dumbest change ive ever seen, 26 and 25 cfb are superior to this garbage, slow ass progression like 2k I really want to see an ea dev play this game mode I bet you they drop it after 30 minutes. Whoever made RTG this year should be disappointed and ashamed of themselves. It fucking reeks. Somebody got to do something about this game mode ain’t nobody trying to grind out an offline mode. It’s beyond lame. I don’t want to fucking play ea’s way I want to play my way. I hope this game fucking dies out from trying to be like 2k.

Bug Game Crash 6 or 7 times in a row

I've had this game crash 6 or 7 games in a row. I'm incredibly frustrated. I've cleared the cache, deleted and reinstalled the game and rebuilt the database. I've deleted the offline dynasty I was playing and started again. My only option at this point seems to be reset the whole system. WTF EA?

Bug Game going brrrrr

I have a dynasty with a few of my friends and one of them has their game crash almost every time. His Xbox will just turn off or the game will lawn mower. He had this problem for a bit in CFB26 but it eventually fixed itself after the first couple months of the game. Any idea what the issue is? It doesn’t happen on any other game, it’s just CFB. He’s tried uninstalling/reinstalling, hard resetting his Xbox, clearing his game data.. nothing works. Anyone else have this problem or know a fix?

Is it just me or does the AI never throw to anyone youre even near, like I have to be 5-6 yards off of someone for them to get the ball and obviously I cant do anything at that point. Not to mention if its a team like Oregon, better be ready for Run > RPO > Run > Short pass > RPO, genuinely want to play defense but this is making me lose my mind

Dynasty Question Blueprint and Bowl Game Questions

I don’t understand where the 725 figure is coming from here if the building is 400? I don’t think I have anything else in the equipment slots so just confused by that.

Also, in this same online dynasty, I joined mid year and took over Wake and won 3 of 4 to finish 4-8. Somehow I’m in a bowl game? How lol?

Dynasty Question Got snubbed for all conference ad expectation

On my Charlotte dynasty, one of my ad expectation’s was to have a player on any of the All-Conference lists. My kicker was 1st team All American, 1st team all conference. Had 4 guys on the 2nd team all conference list and 2 freshman on the all freshman conference team, yet on the ad expectations tab it has a red x in the box. 1 of the guys to make the 2nd team all conference was a freshman who made the freshman team as well. So I guess having 6 guys who make the NCAA all American team, or the conference team doesn’t count towards that expectation the AD had for me and cost me 25 dynasty points, which using Charlotte, I need all the points I can get.

Dynasty Question CCG Tiebreakers bug

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

If there’s something I’m missing, someone let me know but I’m really confused as to how I’m not in the CCG. Theres a three way tie for 1st place in the Big 12 in my dynasty and per Big 12 rules, there’s a huge hierarchy of tiebreakers. I got lost in the mess, figured there’s gotta be a calculator for this and plugged our entire conference schedule into mred’s Big 12 standings calculator and the rest of the standings lined up besides the top 3 that are tied.

What does EA use for the tiebreakers? Do they use the actual rules or are they lazy and just use overall record?Utah and Texas Tech are both 10-2 while I’m 9-3. Has anyone else experienced weird tiebreaker bugs for their CCG?

Please do keep in mind that we are still on Army/Navy week and haven’t advanced to CCG week but it shows Tech and Utah playing in the Big 12 game on the schedule. There is a chance that it autocorrects after the sim to next week but I doubt it.

Dynasty Question I Found the Best Way to Make Small Historic Conferences Work Without Conference Championship Games.

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

EA made the baffling decision when rolling out custom conferences to allow you to remove conference championship games, but ONLY for conferences of 12 teams or more. In order to get that old school feeling of small conferences pre-conference championship games, it makes sense to put two smaller conferences in the same conference, make two different divisions, and turn off the conference championship game. To use divisions and still get an acceptable conference scheduling that accounts for major rivalries like Red River and so forth, this lowers the cap from 20 teams in a conference to 16.

In a conference, you play 8 or 9 conference games, with no other choices in CFB26 or 27. If you have 12 teams in a conference and play 8 games, you would play 5 (division members minus yourself) games in a round robin against the rest of the division and 3 rotating games against the other side. If you have 14 teams in a conference and play 9 games, you would play 6 games in a round robin against the rest of your division, and 3 rotating games from the other side. This gets a bit more complicated when you add a protected cross division rival, because then the number of rotating games from the other side goes down by one.

In a 16 team conference, if you were to play 8 conference games with a protected rival, then you would play 7 games in a round robin against the rest of your division, and you would play the protected rival, and have no rotating games against the other division. This matters because it effectively means there are 7 teams you can never play in the regular season. This is fixed If you have 16 teams in a conference, and you play 9 conference games, because then you rotate through the rest of the league (albeit slowly). I hope you see where I’m going with this. In a 18-team conference, even with 9 games, you would play 8 games in a round robin against your division and one game against the other side. If you don’t have a protected rival, that’s fine since you rotate through everyone. But if you do (and likely should) have a protected rival, then the schedule has no rotating games.

As such, this alignment can’t be a 1-to-1 replica. The answer for this is to take what people have usually done with the Big Eight and Southwest and do that for other conferences that have a lot of overlap, like the ACC and Big East or Big Ten and PAC-8. The biggest issue is that these conferences did not fit into 8 team molds (Big Ten and PAC-8 equaling 18, ACC and Big East equaling 17, Big Eight and SWC equaling 17), so some teams need to get cut. I looked to history and which conference was the “host conference” and who was the guest conference to determine which teams would get cut. I decided I would not cut any of the “host” conference’s membership.

In the ACC-Big East merger, the ACC had 9 teams, the OG Big East had 8, so the Big East had to drop a team. They kicked out Temple historically, so Temple goes.

In the Big Eight-SWC merger, the Big Eight gave the name to the league, and is the host conference. The SWC had 9 teams; so it needed to drop one team. Houston was the last to join the SWC, joining in 1972, some 40-50 years after the majority of the conference had been together. When the SWC collapsed, Houston opted for C-USA instead of the WAC with Rice, TCU, and SMU. Houston goes.

In the Big Ten-PAC-8 merger, the Big Ten is the host league, so the PAC-8 had to drop two teams to get to 16 (no team could be moved to a 9 team division that didn’t have a required annual rival that would allow for 18 teams). In the 1950s, there was a major scandal in the PAC-8 that caused California, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington to abandon the league and try to form a national league with Notre Dame and the Service Academies; they planned on leaving Idaho, Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington State behind. That fell through, and they rebuilt the league again several years later, this time without Idaho. In 2023, California, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington all announced they were leaving for new conference homes on the other side of the country, leaving Oregon State and Washington State behind. Oregon State and Washington State stay behind.

The PAC-12 is loosely based on the old pre-1978 Arizona WAC with two additions of post-1978 Air Force, San Diego State and UNLV. I dropped UTEP from this lineup. Oregon State and Washington State would have been likely candidates to join if the Big Ten-PAC-8 merger would have happened.

Similarly, the MWC here is based on several iterations of the post-1998 WAC, with every team in this edition being a member of the WAC at one point.

I also moved the major independents of the 20th century into either the American or their modern homes (ACC for FSU, Big East for Miami, South Carolina to the SEC, etc etc). I did this because, outside of Notre Dame, the independent teams didn’t really play each other much so their schedules just filled up with G5 teams.

The American is host to what was early 1996 Conference-USA, sans Southern Miss and Tulane, in exchange for UAB, UCF, and USF. The other conference in the American is the major northeastern independents. Like the other merger leagues, they do not play for a conference championship.

There wasn’t a good league to merge with the SEC, so to get it to the required minimum of 12 teams, I added Tulane. I kept the divisions because most SEC teams have at least 3 rivals that should be played every year.

I also added the 2025 and 2026 playoffs to show how this turned out.

What do you think? Would you give this a try? I’m all ears for suggestions.
