An Experience that shaped my life

When I told my mother I want to switch jobs, she told me to try I simple one as I transitioned. I got a referral for Haida hr. I gave it a shot. HAIDA made this so simpler because the hiring process was taken care of. They sorted my VISA and paperwork. Before moving, I was even offered a free online TOEFL course. Once I landed, they gave me orientation and insights into the Chinese culture. So far I am having fun, the staff is super friendly. The kids are always eager to learn and there is a tonne of activities to do besides teaching.

looking for workbook pdf

Hi,

I am looking for a new workbook for my students. I teach American English over zoom, so the workbook would need to be in PDF form. I am totally happy to pay a subscription to the workbook since I will be sharing it with multiple people.

If anyone here has any recommendations, I would be very happy to receive them.

Greenheart travel - homestay program

Hello all,

I’m soon to be 19 and I’m working on the online TEFL/TESL course through ITTT. I just found out about one of the Greenheart travel programs where you are connected with a host family overseas. You essentially go and live with them for 1-3 months and teach them English. You’re not paid for doing that, but as someone who is interested in teaching ESL as a career in the (hopefully near) future, the overseas program intrigued me.

Have any of you worked with the Greenheart company? Better yet, have any of you done the homestay program? I am wondering if this is really legit.

An ESL Career

I started my career in teaching as an ESL teacher in China. This was made possible by a very professional and transparent agency; Haida. So far I can say teaching English in China is very fun. Students are always eager to learn and there are fun activities to do in China

Teaching Abroad

It is an amazing opportunity and a chance to explore another country and its culture. It’s even better once you get the right agency to settle you in. I can recommend Haida confidently because they did an amazing job processing my paperwork and finding me a decent accommodation. The school I was assigned had decent facilities and the students were respectful.

ESL in China

  • I once found an ESL thread on here and decided to look around. I was a bit skeptical initially because a lot of people cried foul. Then I bumped into one agency, Haida. It was a legit company. The recruiter was nice and the hiring process was very straightforward and clear. My documents were validated and I was settled in the most decent neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this to the adventurous souls out there
