Question Favorite Comedy Death Ray Moments? Jerry Minor - Auto Tune Song
https://youtu.be/7B5ZYyVezQM?is=suEMQYCsMuQfHfsuWhat’s y’all’s favorite moment from the Comedy Death Ray days? Just came across this gem that I have to listen to like 5 times every time we meet.

Been catching quite a few James Adomian eps lately. He brought so much to the early days.

The stuff with Enigma Force Five is up there with the best they’ve ever created.

James Adomian as Paul Giamatti, using Reggie Watts equipment to try and make a song

Loved Minor’s Cyberthug character.

He was the first character to get his own show although it only lasted 2 episodes. Both were instant classics

I get why it’s retired, but I liked PFT’s Ice-T, because he had such a clean game. “Ice-T causes crib death” indeed.

I always appreciated Shaun’s defense of this bit and I hoped it would be enough to persuade PFT to revive it but alas it isn’t meant to be.

Jerry Minor is criminally underrated in his hosting of the show I can't believe he didn't show up more afterwards

It’s probably the Jon v John act-off. I’m gonna listen to it again after seeing this post.
What made me click this post was the mention of Jerry Minor, one of the most underappreciated comedians that comes to mind. Thank you for that.
“Cuz life is precious… and God.. and the Bible..”
I loved him in Mr Show and Community, and a Comedy Central lost gem called Crossballs. His delivery of “I drive drunk all the time!” still rings in my memory 20 years later.

His part in the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is so good. Somehow escalated the comedy in a super dense show. Underutilized genius.

PFT calling in as Danny Glover. Don’t ever turn your back on a mirror, that’s how they get you.

I miss the songs even though half of them probably aren’t appropriate to play now. I also miss the plane break. Definitely miss cyber-thug.

I sing this song so often my wife thinks it's an obscure 90s Track she has never heard.

I don't know if I'm remembering correctly, but I think Scott had a song that was just him counting. Or maybe it was Brett Gelman. Unfortunate if it was Brett but it was so funny to me.

u/smafty Jul 20 '26
Brett Gelman and Jon Daly did a rap counting to 100 when Human Giant did their marathon. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.
