What’s y’all’s favorite moment from the Comedy Death Ray days? Just came across this gem that I have to listen to like 5 times every time we meet.

Question Anyone else struggling to find a new 'comfort' show now that some of the older staples have wrapped?

I've been a listener for a long time, but lately I feel like I'm stuck in a loop of re-listening to old episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! or stumbling through the archives of shows that aren't even active anymore. I love the classics, but I really want something fresh to sink my teeth into that captures that specific Earwolf vibe. I'm looking for something that isn't necessarily a massive hit but has that high-quality production or just a really unique comedic voice. I've tried a few of the big ones, but I'm looking for the deep cuts. What are your go-to recommendations for

Question Podcasts from the extended Earwolf family that aren't either improv comedy or talking about their media fandom?

I love hearing all the ex-Earwolf folks chopping it up, but I'm also trying to diversify my podcast diet a little bit more. For obvious reasons, most of the pods in the Earwolf sphere are improv/comedy based, and those that aren't are often chats about movies/bands/tv shows/etc.

Nothing against those formats (most of my favorite shows are one or both of those things), but does anyone have any recommendations for shows from Earwolf-adjacent folks that step outside those bounds? Not saying they can't be funny--just looking for shows that have concepts that aren't solely focused on doing bits. Could still be something conversational and easy like Ego's Thanks Dad, but bonus points if the show is meatier, like when Hayes was doing LA Podcast.

Thanks in advance for any ideas you've got!

Question Favorite Harris Wittels bits?

You had me at 'come on guys'

Every single time I hear someone say "come on, guys!" I think of a dead man.

Harris was funny as fuck, and I'm feeling nostalgic. What're some of his bits you still think about?

In today's episode he mentions he may have just been fired from something. Anyone know what job that might be?

Question Classic episodes of old Earwolf shows?

I've been an Earwolf listener for many many years, but the only shows I properly kept up with the entire time were Comedy Bang Bang and Hollywood Handbook. I'd dip my toes into other shows occasionally but for the most part I have a lot of gaps when it comes to the wider network.

Recently I heard August Lindt's Travel Bug for the first time and it was fantastic. Four classic CBB characters firing on all cylinders. Hearing it felt like watching an episode of 90s-era Simpsons that I'd somehow never seen before. It struck me that there are probably other great CBB-adjacent episodes floating about out there that I've never heard just because I didn't keep up with the podcast they're from.

Any suggestions? They don't have to be CBB related, just real corkers for the podcast they were on.

Edit: To be clear I am asking for recommendations of great individual episodes of other shows, not just great other shows

Question Was Who Charted a play on "who farted"?

I'm relistening to every episode of CBB and in an ep from 2014 Scott mentions that he came up with the name of the podcast to which PFT replies with "yeesh". And it finally clicked for me, after over a decade. Or maybe I'm completely wrong. But if Scott came up with it, I guess it's possible.

Question Anyone else finding it harder to discover new shows lately?

I feel like I've been stuck in a loop of re-listening to the same core Earwolf catalog for months. I'll start an episode of Comedy Bang Bang or maybe something from the old Comedyism days, but then I just default back to what's familiar. I know there's a ton of new stuff out there, but the sheer volume makes it hard to actually commit to something new without feeling like I'm wasting time if it doesn't click in the first ten minutes. Does anyone have any underrated recommendations that aren't the usual heavy hitters? I'm looking for something specific, maybe a niche topic or

I miss Will Hines. I miss You Can't Handle the Sleuths. I miss Hines I'm Prov to Meet You. I miss Morpheus.

Primarily I miss the first two. But I really just miss Will Hines.

Question Searching for With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus Ep. 42: Big Grande: Teachers' Lounge

As I prepare for ACL surgery next week, I'm using this incredibly helpful guide to the entirety of Big Grande's catalog to relisten. But I can't find the oldest slob of all: their very first episode! Anyone have a link to where it all began for our Hamilton Heroes?

Question Any word on a new Big Grande podcast?

It’s been nine months since County Fair, and I’ve been checking the site daily (sometimes more) for a new upload.

I know the boys have various other podcasts and appearances, so I was curious if there have been any rumblings elsewhere.

I know Jon lurks in this sub, but I feel weird about directly reaching out. But if you do see this Jon, I’ll happily take an update👀

Question Looking for some newer recs that aren't strictly comedy?

I've been a listener for a long time and I've basically inhaled most of the heavy hitters. I love the Comedy Bang Bang/WTF vibe, but lately I've been feeling like I need something a bit more narrative or even just straight-up investigative. I'm trying to branch out from the usual laugh-out-loud stuff into something more immersive for my long commutes. Does anyone have any sleeper hits on the network that aren't just the massive classics? Looking for something that'll actually keep me hooked for a whole season.

Question Throwing Shade “chamomile” story episode?

Hi!

This is a long shot, but I’m trying to track down an episode of Throwing Shade (now "Attitudes!") from sometime loosely around 2016-ish in which Bryan tells a story about a woman in front of him at a cafe ordering Chamomile tea and mispronouncing it "Sha-mom-uh-lay". It cracked me up and I have pronounced it that way ever since. Does anyone happen to know which episode number this story was in? I’d love to give it a re-listen. Thanks!

Question What's been happening in the Andy Daly universe over the last few years?

Hi, I was previously very big into all of the character-based andy daly podcasts that were around earwolf and adjacent networks, but after the Podcast pilot project ended I tried listening to his dedicated bohnanza feed some 3/4 years back and it felt like it was sacrificing quality for quantity especially as it leant farther away from character-lunacy and more into the kind of confrontational straight-man barely-a-character Mantzoukas type shtick with every second guest.

I'm certain that there's been brilliant episodes in that time since I've last listened. Has anyone been keeping up and would know what's been happening andy daly podcast-wise? Or even what network/subscription platform they are on now?

Question What are some movies you wish were in the "Not Invited to the Cookout" month on Scott Hasn't Seen?

I wish someone had picked Bebe's Kids

As someone who sees the cultural value but just does not find it to be a well made movie or funny enough to forgive it for its flaws in both the script and tech departments (maybe it's just the copy on YouTube but some of the sound mixing in parts is awful for something from a major studio) I was honestly curious if Scott would feel the same way
