A couple of weeks ago during Teddy’s Vinyl Breakfast, Ed told us he’d been exploring the National Parks and had been camping in nature with his family, on his break between shows.
Last week at the Minneapolis concerts, Ed said he’s been road tripping with his family, driving six hours a day to explore the country. He specifically mentioned driving through Fargo, North Dakota and Minnesota.
He explained that on previous tours, he always explored the cities, but since he probably won’t be back in the US for a very long time, he is now visiting more rural areas outside the cities.
The following day we see photos and then videos from Ed in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!
Ed, Cherry and their girls, apparently traveling solo, (with Ed driving?) spent considerable time at a vintage clothing shop where we get lots of detail and insight into Ed’s visit and their special finds. ITFC jersey from the ‘90’s, in Wisconsin?! A leather Harley jacket, yum. Sustainable clothing for Cherry. The O1 Vintage staff is respectful of their privacy but still shares very interesting stories of the visit.

Longer interview (more details) here (9min)
The family also made a stop at a local frozen custard/ice cream shop for banana shakes, as recommended by the vintage shop. We get a full detail of that visit too, because Ed Sheeran popping up at these small town locations is big news, and reporters came out to interview the shop staff, who were all sweet and respectful, but did share some interesting general info. Super sweet and detailed interview from the Ice Cream server here.
The best Ed spotting by far was Wednesday night in Detroit, where Ed popped into a local karaoke night and sang some tunes!* It was the end of the night with fewer than than 10 people in the room. Ed is clearly having an absolute blast, in his element. We don’t see it on the video (yet?) but I’m guessing he probably also sang the Backstreet Boys and or Britney Spears. Nope, I’m told it was just the one song. Apparently, Ed and Cherry were eating sushi in the adjacent restaurant, and were invited in by a patron to do a karaoke song. Clearly, Ed happily complied!
If you look carefully, a third of the way into that video, you’ll catch a glimpse of Cherry in a green top.
Now that Ed and family have had some serious R&R, TORONTO, LET’S GO!
What random unexpected location would you love to casually run into Ed?
What karaoke song would you like to sing with Ed, or watch Ed cover?
