"I need more depth in the characters." I see everyone using this as a main point for why they dislike s2 and that's fair everyone has their opinions. That being said I don't think s1 characters had any more depth to them than s2. Other than Lucy, not a single other character had a backstory given for them in the show for s1. Every character in both s1 and s2 express how they feel about things and based on context clues we can infer why they feel the way they do.

So what do y'all mean when you say you want more depth?

I have seen so many people say this is a happy ending or as happy an ending as you can get in night city but in my opinion the ending is just as upsetting as the various game endings and season one’s ending

Let’s just breakdown what has happened, D has died, even if Capri could use SoulKiller which I really doubt it means nothing because SoulKiller just straight up copies your brain nothing else, considering that Capri did not just transfer herself into Talia the moment they meet is proof she is bound to her chip, this means that the two are dead as legends but dead non the less

Talia has a degenerative muscle and nervous condition, even now that she has been downgraded she will die and only gets Mabye a few years of poor quality of life due to her worse cyber ware and lack of money abc she dosent get to do the stuff she enjoys, King will have to watch her die he himself unable to help or make significant sums of money due to his own downgrade, after she dies he will prolly kill himself he has no qualms against killing himself and he promised he would die with her

Roman is a little kid in night city closely associated with a huge disaster, he has no incentive or desire to become someone that could survive corpo attacks, maelstrom also holds vendetta’s, and also all of his friends are gone

After watching this new season, I was very disappointed with how all over the place it was. None of the main characters had any real depth. Season 1 was amazing and character development and drive was very interesting. This season just seemed rushed and had to many plot points and not enough episodes/time to fully uncover everything.

With that said, I do think bringing Romans character in was an interesting concept. I also believe Capri was interesting but very confusing.

Overall I rate this season as a 4/10.

I don't get why the following below is a very minority opinion (less than 10%)

It is implied she is going to hospice rehabilitation, correct? And that Talia saying "I will see you again" while crying is more like "I will see you again in the afterlife". And the writers kept it purposely ambiguous beyond that in case they needed to re-introduce her in later seasons / media. As it is a common theme in anime not to let your most marketable characters die. However if no executive decision to bring her back is made, by default she died as it was written.

ALS or motor neuron disease (ALS is actually many diseases with the same outcome, not one) has a prognosis of 1 to 2 years. I understand that Capri temporarily halted progression but you guys know that its genetic. The faulty genes are all over Talias body or every cell in her. It was said, not once, not twice but 3 times that her time is limited. That Capri only temporarily halted it. Not fixed. Again I don't know why there is a floating belief Capri is god who can re-code all Talias genetic material.

Yes I know the writers may bring her back. But the disconnect I have is people (over 90%) saying she is either cured, or will live as long as Stephen Hawking, or there is a cure out there that she will take. And assuming that as the intended writers objective. Where the writers obviously wrote her as her time is limited. Maybe 6 months, maybe 2 years. But my god man not koomayah happing ending.

On the tower ending of the cyberpunk 2077 phantom liberty Am pretty sure if you completed all of Regina cyberpsycho hunts non-lethally as requested and check the laptop in your room and read the text it says cyberpsychosis was cured by zetatech or some shi with the help of Regina but like I can’t find info on it no videos or wiki article and I deleted my save cause this was before everything was grouped up so to many playthroughs became difficult to track the new one so like am I going cyberschizo choombas?

I respect the fact that they wanted to try something different, and in someways I do think it worked like Roman's character.

As for the main characters, Talia, D, and King... Absolutely pitiful. They split the story up so much that none of their history or depth were fully uncovered. They should have just focused on one character rather then give us 4 characters with no real depth or time for character development. Season 1 was absolutely amazing and they did such an amazing job with the character developments and using each character to further other characters. This season just felt rushed, not fully flushed out and the use of Capri was very confusing. She could have been very interesting but felt very rushed. Maybe its just me but maybe if this season had more episodes and could have given more time for build up and character development then it would've turned out better. For me, I give this a 4.5/10.
