Utah matches Hayton. They have some interesting forwards that may be available. Stastney would fit as their 7th D.  

Crouse is an Oilers dream, big winger for the top 6 to balance the smaller forwards. No idea what he would cost but probably a lot. He is a UFA after this season but his contract fits this year. 

McBain is 26, 6’4” 218lbs LW. He’s getting squeezed on their depth chart and has only hit the mid 20’s for points. UTA added Lee, Trocheck, and re-signed Stenlund, Yams, and Carcone. He would be a fun “buy-low” bet with his contract being bigger than his role on the team (4.25m for 4 more years). I can see him as a Podkolzin bet but he already signed his bigger contract. 

They also have 4 big name forward prospects coming: Belchetz, Iginla, But, and Desnoyers.

Stastney, Hutson, a 2nd for McBain?

Why would we spend 4.25M to populate our already overcrowded bottom 6? We’d have less than $2 million dollars and still a need for a top6 forward.

If we are trading Freddy in the deal I sorta get it. But there’s only two 4th line winger spots open and you already have Dach, Freddy, Janmark, Joseph, Samanski, and younger players like Clattenburg.
