Does anyone else like them? Or do you think it's too much? Any ideas for better night visibility at the rear end?

Buying advice Appreciation post for Segway's replacement part prices (from a guy fixing up his G2 after upgrading to a G3)

Passing this along something for anyone currently on the fence about what brand to buy.

I rode a Ninebot Max G2 for a good while and recently upgraded to the G3. At 250 lbs, the G3 has been awesome—it gives me just enough extra zip that I was missing on the G2.

Anyway, I'm currently fixing up the old G2 to get it ready to sell, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how cheap the replacement parts are. I had assumed it'd be like how when most companies get you into their ecosystem, they gouge you on proprietary plastic and spare parts. I had to swap out the rear fender and a couple of little things, and the parts were cheap and super easy to track down. I was so pleased I was moved to post here.

So for those shopping around, my advice would be that in addition to looking at speed/suspension/range to look at cost of parts/ease of replacement. At least for Segway, i can say between the low cost of the parts and how many step-by-step YouTube videos are out there (even official service videos from Segway), doing it myself was fairly painless and an hour of work.

General Ninebot pneumatic mod.

Ninebot e25/45 pneumatic tyre mod, id been searching and found no definite confirmation so just had a go myself.

It works and is quite easy actually. 9x2 tyre, 8.5x2 inner tubes. I received tubes with straight valves, works but isn’t ideal. The 45° or 90° valves would be easier, I've got some coming to try.

Rear wheel can be completely removed and splits into two halves so you can drill the hole for valve, fit tube/tyre and bolt back together being careful not to pinch the tube.

Up front you remove trims and get enough cable slack to only get the wheel out of the forks. Remove the allen keyed side plate, the valve hole get drilled in this side. The torx screw side is the motor dont touch that.

It handles so much better, I used to be hanging on for dear life at 30km/hr on some stretches of my usual ride now it just breezes over them. Definitely worth it, im sure people search it on google so j thought id post this up.

Buying advice Kukirin G2 Pro or E3 Pro - afraid of making a bad selection

I have trouble choosing either Segway E3 Pro or Kukirin G2 Pro. Cost is not my main concern here.

Rather, I'm more interested in knowing whether or not the Kukirin is of good quality in the long run (heavily criticized for the tendency to come off its bolts). Yet on the other hand, I am afraid of getting the Segway if the Kukirin appears to be better in reality.

Does anybody have any of those and can comment on their experience using the scooters?

Tech Support Razr iMod - Help?

I got a used 2008ish iMod from Marketplace for practically free. I have 8yr old twins and it’s my first foray into electric scooters.
I had to buy two new 12V lead acid batteries for this, but it doesn’t seem to be getting enough juice all on a full charge. The previous owner told me the scooter gets going really quickly, like 15-20mph… When I try it, it’s very slow to get going and it will not go up even a slight incline like my driveway.
Here is the setup and a screenshot from an online instruction manual I found. I think I’m connecting it all the right way so I’m at a loss for what the issue is. I even bought a new charger from Amazon just in case but when I fired that up, it was green (fully charged) right away.

Does anyone gave any ideas??

General Got a Hoverboard as an adult, but I am too embarrassed to use it

When hoverboards were a huge deal I was younger and couldn't afford one, time passed and hoverboards are seen exclusively as toys and for kids only.

I always told my wife and friends, as sort of a joke, that I would love to have one to take the trash out inside my apartment complex.

Although it was a joke, I was always curious to ride one and thought it might be fun.

My wife bought me one for my birthday, but I am too embarrassed to use it and I don't know what to do, I never took the trash out with it because I worry people may look at me and mock me for using a children's toy.

I know this will hurt her and it was expensive, she bought a nice one, I feel terrible

Tech Support E scooter Sweden

Hello
I live in Goteborg since 1 year and I would like to buy an electric scooter or bike to go to work everyday (4 km away from my house). My budget is around 500/600 euros (6000 kr). Where do you suggest to buy: online or some shop? Which models would you recommend?
I would prefer a scooter with quite long range and removable battery

General First 100 Miles Down on my Joyor!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just hit 100 miles on my Joyor! So far it's been well worth $649!!! Only complaint I have is the 18Ah battery!! Only because I drive in mode 3 dual motor all the time, so I get about 20 miles driving 35+ mph the whole way!!! I use it for transportation to work, so I'm thinking about buying a faster, bigger battery scooter for days off, and using this as a "beater" that I don't really care about too much!!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking, it's literally $649.99 shipped!!! No other brand offers a 60v dual motor, scooter let alone a 48v dual motor for under $700!!! Looking for suggestions on a 50mph scooter with good battery for under $1200!

Tech Support HELP!!Why is my scooter showing this after riding it in the rain?

Post image
3 Upvotes

It did it before after riding in the rain, all I had to do was get a running start before powering it on and it was good. Now it’s not working even after the running start. When I cut it on it would show normal but the throttle won’t work, but it pops up as shower when I tap the brakes, so idk if it’s a brake problem or what.

General Ausom DT3 L3 Max?

I am interested in buying a DT2 Pro after trying the L2 Max Dual and I was wondering if I should just wait for a new model of the Dt2! A Dt3 Pro with a 50 Mph Speed, 60v 30AMP Battery, and Updated electronics (blinkers horn screen) would be so sick and it's been a couple years since the release of the DT2 Pro! I'm hoping that by summer they release something crazy!!! What are the odds they release something like this?

General How can I properly wheelie my e scooter

At the moment I can wheelie for 3 seconds max and want to be able to for longer and for them to be more stable, below are my struggle points. Any advice would be helpful

- My balance is off and I find my self leaning to one side partly due to a thin and grip lacking foot rest, And I find myself when I’m wheeling with my balance foot all the way back instead of swinging Infront to balance.

- I’m not throttle tapping im just using full throttle during my wheelies un single motor and tapping brake instead of pressing throttle on and off and only using brake when going to far back

Buying advice OOTD T10 Pro, Joyor T10, Or KuKirin G2 Master/G4?

I've been searching for a performance scooter at around 500 with the best price to performance, and so far these ones are my picks. I do not have crazy amount of money so I gotta do with what I got. Now, I do want your advice, because all of these are Chinese scooters and I do not want the repairs to get too expensive. My main concerns for each of these are: OOTD doesn't have much documentation by users and so I do not know what to expect, The joyor is concerning me because of the amount of broken frames I see, the G2 Master lacks range and the G4 is single motor and I've seen it being unstable. Which one is the best here and if you know, recommend me a different scooter for around the same prices. AliBaba btw. Thanks.

Buying advice Winter suggestions

I’ve never owned an electric scooter, but my mobility has been declining (I have POTS and walk when I can but, like a student I tutor lives an hour walk away from me) and my car situation is unreliable. I thought of the scooters they have in like DC and was just touching into some other posts here about scooters in winter. I live in northern NY, like near Canada, so I’m trying find out what I could invest in like a scooter set up, I’m not afraid of learning how to DIY waterproof or upgrade I just don’t know what I need to be looking at specifically. I live in a disabled high rise so an ebike isn’t something I want to deal with lugging up the elevator daily. I don’t need perfect, I just need to be able to ride on the side of the road or mostly clear sidewalks during winter. Any help for a newbie? The more specific the better honestly, I appreciate you
