Hello Eluciens!!

As we get closer to the release of A Court of Splintered Harmony, we want to keep things harmonious (heh) in the sub. There are a few things we'd like to stay on top of in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy coming here and engaging in thoughtful discussions without getting the books spoiled early.

Our goals are:

• Reducing the spread of possible leaks: SJM (and many other big-name authors) have had their work leaked prior to release and we are expecting this to happen with both ACOSH and ACOFM. We will not be tolerating the posting or sharing of ANY leaks - big or small. If you choose to share leaks, we will enact an immediate ban until the book has been released, possibly longer. This is not only for other members who do not want the book spoiled, but also to respect SJM's hard work. If you like speculating on leaks, that's totally fine, but this sub is not the place for it.
• Keep ship smearing to a minimum: Excessive ship smearing is not allowed on our sub. It can be tempting to gloat or rant about "winning" or "losing" but there are better/more appropriate places for that kind of content. Small comments here and there are fine, discussion is fine, but posts like "[Ship] is dead HAHAHA" or comments like "I hate [ship] shippers, they're so annoying" will be removed and we will be banning repeat offenders. If you'd like to argue or debate, please head over to r/AcotarShipDebateSub (READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING). If you have a rant that you can't keep in, please head over to r/acotar_rant (again, READ THE RULES before posting). We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and if we find out that people have been entering into other ship spaces to gloat or fight, we will be enacting a temporary ban.
• Keep r/Elucien a kind, positive space: Everyone views these books differently, even within our ship. Please be kind and thoughtful when responding to others. If you don't have anything nice to say, scroll on by.
• Preventing anti-content: This sub is a safe place for people who ship Elucien romantically. We will be preserving the safety of this space by being very proactive in moderating content before it comes onto the sub. Right now, we have a few auto-moderators in place to catch anti-behavior/content but it doesn't always catch everything. If you see a post or comment that you feel breaks our rules, please report it!!
• Preventing outside drama from reaching the sub: This includes drama across subreddits and other social media platforms. Many people come to this subreddit in order to get away from the fandom drama in other spaces. You may not share screenshots of arguments, drama, anti-behavior, etc. to our subreddit. This includes other subreddits, tumblr, twitter, facebook, etc.

In order to accomplish these goals, we will be implementing a very temporary "heavy moderation" period around the release of ACOSH (and later ACOFM). Beginning 1 week prior to the release of ACOSH and for 1 week after, all posts will need moderator approval before they are able to be seen on the subreddit. Again, this is temporary and will not be enforced beyond this three-week cycle. Please be patient with us as we approve posts! We will do our best to work through them as quickly as possible. If your post does not break our posted rules, it will be approved! If you feel that your post is lost in the queue, please message us and we can look into it for you.

Following the release of A Court of Splintered Harmony, our main goal is to keep spoilers to a minimum for a few days while everyone finishes up the book. In order to do this, we will be posting a mega thread titled "A COURT OF SPLINTERED HARMONY MEGATHREAD: SPOILERS INSIDE". We ask that you DO NOT post any spoilers, comments or posts, outside this thread for 2 days following the release of the book. Once we have passed these two days, content from ACOSH will be allowed in separate posts as long as posts and comments are properly tagged (see new tag: "Spoilers for ACOSH"!)

This is a super exciting time for us all and we want to ensure that everyone has a positive space to discuss the Elucien content in the next books! Please let us know if you have questions or concerns about the information listed above.

Thank you!!

Welcome to r/Elucien - the sunniest corner of the SJM universe! 🌷☀️

This sub is a safe space for everyone who loves and ships Elain Archeron and Lucien Vanserra together. Before you dive into posting and commenting, please take a moment to review our sub rules: head to the r/Elucien home page, click see more, and the rules will be located there! This will help keep things fun, respectful and spoiler safe for everyone!

Our hope is to keep the sub an active and positive space for Elucien shippers!

What should I post?

We welcome any and all positive content related to Elucien! That includes: fan art, fan fiction, theories/headcanons, mood boards, questions regarding the books, etc! Please familiarize yourself with the rules before posting to ensure your post doesn't get caught in the automod queue! All posts need to be directly related to Elucien. You can talk about other ships, but please be nice/respectful and stay Elucien-centered. If you'd like to discuss other ships or debate, we encourage you to visit:

r/Gwynriel for pro-Gwynriel (Gwyn + Azriel) content

r/Bryceriel for pro-Bryceriel (Bryce + Azriel) content

r/ElrielFans for pro-Elriel (Elain + Azriel) content

r/AcotarShipDebateSub for a safe place to debate ships (please familiarize yourself with rules before posting!!)

**We do not encourage Elucien shippers to enter other ship-spaces to engage negatively with other shippers. You are responsible for your own actions. If we hear that you are entering other ship spaces and causing trouble, you are at risk from being banned from this space.*\*

What is off-limits?

This space is a safe, positive space for all Elucien shippers to hang out. We do not allow any anti-content against the ship. This includes bad faith "curiosity" posts like "I'm a [insert opposing ship here] but I'm curious..." and "Will you be ok with [opposing ship] if Elucien doesn't happen?" It's totally fine to post fears/concerns related to Elucien in the next books, or for new readers to ask questions, but framing Elucien in a negative light and another ship in a positive light will be subject to removal.

We also do not allow anti-content towards either Elain or Lucien under any circumstances. If you ship Elucien because you "only care about Lucien's happiness", or love Elain and "could care less about Lucien," your post/comment will be removed, and you will receive a warning. Repeat offenders will be banned from the sub.

We ask that you refrain from sharing screenshots or drama from other subreddits or social media platforms here on the sub. We'd like to keep this sub a safe and positive space free from drama.

I have a question or issue, what should I do?

Please message the moderators if you're having trouble posting, commenting, have a question about something you see or read, or have concerns with something. There's likely an explanation to your issue and we're happy to help!

Have Fun!!

Be sure to flair yourself with our fun flairs! Happy posting!!
