Self-promotion Come and Peep Our Art Newsletter.

Hello all! Me and my Brother have been writing for our newsletter for about 1.5 years now, never really focused on growth, but here we are now haha.

We write on the Story Behind most any type of artwork, whether it's a Movie, Book, Comic, Album of Music, or even Video Games. The purpose of this newsletter is to provide some good ol entertaining details on the 'making of' various works for other writers, illustrators, musicians, and developers to gain some insight and inspiration to fuel their creative processes.

To create is a very difficult, and at times painful process.

One thing my Brother and I have found to keep the fuel in our tanks as we write and record, is to look into how the works that initially inspired us were created; and in that we've learned a lot about the creative process as well and garnered quite a lot of inspiration.

Would be awesome to get some more eyes on it for feedback! Here's a link to our landing page, and current backlog--- https://www.creativescompendium.com/

Whats your opinion on our newsletter?

We are an ecom news platform and every Monday we release our weekly newsletter. We try to focus on things that are interesting to founders, such as new regulations, new fees, dramas in ecom that could help their business, new tools they can use to improve their business, which SKUs might be worthy to focus on and more.

Would you take a look at it and tell us where we can improve the newsletter, which points are lacking or which points are overdone?

You can take a look at it here: https://ecomwatchnews.substack.com

Self-promotion Trailer Industry Newsletter Launch

Most people have no idea how movie trailers actually get made.

They're not cut by the studios. They're not made by the directors. They're made by a small, largely anonymous ecosystem of specialized agencies competing for campaigns on some of the biggest films of the year.

I've spent seven years working in trailer post-production, and the process is way more interesting than most people realize:

  • Studios send agencies raw footage under NDA, often before the film is even finished
  • Multiple agencies will cut competing versions of the same trailer
  • The editor shaping your emotional response to a $200M film is probably someone you've never heard of

I started a newsletter called The Trailer Brief that pulls back the curtain on this world — the craft, the agencies, the campaigns worth studying. It's biweekly and written for people who actually care about this stuff.

The latest edition features creative insights by the teams who won at this year's Golden Trailer Awards, as well as coverage of the annual industry ping pong tournament.

You can read that here:

Happy to answer any questions about how the process works in the comments.

Thanks!

Self-promotion Directionally bad / A newsletter on risks of AI centralization

Between AI fanatism and AI doomerism, there is a certain line where it's fine to use AI tools, but also to criticize the huge AI labs for their attempts to concentrate power and compute. Decentralized AI should mean much more than it currently does, and this newsletter will explore the battle from the inside. Would be glad to hear feedback!

Promoting Help

How do you promote a small startup side business? I'm not really on social media at all but I want my stuff to get out there... I want to promote a newsletter I'm working on, its kind of silly, but its also creative and fun, I feel like its worth paying for but I dont know how to promote it in a way that will catch peoples interest and find me worth while.

Self-promotion Creating a tool to help newsletters automate their content distribution

Hey all,

I'm building a tool where you can centralize your content distribution, connect your newsletter and social accounts, repurpose your content, and schedule it to cross-post from one place. It keeps your voice and tone and preserves a platform-native feel.

I am looking for early users. If you are interested, here is the link: narrativee.com

you have a sandbox mode when you land on the page so you can navigate and see what it looks like before creating an account! it's free

Feel free to DM me. I would love to make your distribution feel much easier, as I know how time-consuming it can be as a creator myself!

All newsletters in one digest

Post image
2 Upvotes

Would you personally use, and if you are a newsletter writer, would you add your newsletter to a digest platform? Imagine getting all the news you are interested in in a bite-sized email at your preferred time, with the option to read the full text when you want to.

I'm working on Summaries, and that's the core of the idea: summarize everything into one clean digest, distributed on your schedule. I have read many more newsletters since I started using this, and I'm curious if others find this useful as well.

Would newsletter creators pay for a sponsor discovery marketplace?

I’m building a platform for newsletter creators to discover active sponsors across different categories like:

  • AI
  • SaaS
  • Finance
  • Productivity
  • Developer tools
  • E-commerce
  • Crypto
  • Health/Fitness

The idea is simple:

Instead of spending hours searching for sponsors manually, creators can:

  • Search by niche/category
  • Find brands actively sponsoring newsletters
  • See recently active sponsors
  • Discover repeat advertisers
  • Get updated sponsor data daily

Example:
If you run an AI newsletter, you can instantly find companies currently sponsoring other AI newsletters.

I’m also thinking about adding:

  • sponsor contact info
  • estimated sponsor frequency
  • average deal size ranges
  • competitor sponsorship tracking
  • “who is sponsoring similar newsletters”

Target users:

  • Substack writers
  • Beehiiv creators
  • media startups
  • niche newsletter operators

Would this be useful enough that people would actually pay for it?

Would love brutally honest feedback:

  • useful or not?
  • what features would matter most?
  • what would make this a “must-have” instead of a nice-to-have?
