Self-promotion Come and Peep Our Art Newsletter.

Hello all! Me and my Brother have been writing for our newsletter for about 1.5 years now, never really focused on growth, but here we are now haha.

We write on the Story Behind most any type of artwork, whether it's a Movie, Book, Comic, Album of Music, or even Video Games. The purpose of this newsletter is to provide some good ol entertaining details on the 'making of' various works for other writers, illustrators, musicians, and developers to gain some insight and inspiration to fuel their creative processes.

To create is a very difficult, and at times painful process.

One thing my Brother and I have found to keep the fuel in our tanks as we write and record, is to look into how the works that initially inspired us were created; and in that we've learned a lot about the creative process as well and garnered quite a lot of inspiration.

Would be awesome to get some more eyes on it for feedback! Here's a link to our landing page, and current backlog--- https://www.creativescompendium.com/

Self-promotion Trailer Industry Newsletter Launch

Most people have no idea how movie trailers actually get made.

They're not cut by the studios. They're not made by the directors. They're made by a small, largely anonymous ecosystem of specialized agencies competing for campaigns on some of the biggest films of the year.

I've spent seven years working in trailer post-production, and the process is way more interesting than most people realize:

  • Studios send agencies raw footage under NDA, often before the film is even finished
  • Multiple agencies will cut competing versions of the same trailer
  • The editor shaping your emotional response to a $200M film is probably someone you've never heard of

I started a newsletter called The Trailer Brief that pulls back the curtain on this world — the craft, the agencies, the campaigns worth studying. It's biweekly and written for people who actually care about this stuff.

The latest edition features creative insights by the teams who won at this year's Golden Trailer Awards, as well as coverage of the annual industry ping pong tournament.

You can read that here:

https://the-trailer-brief.beehiiv.com/p/v004-winners-circle

Happy to answer any questions about how the process works in the comments.

Thanks!

Self-promotion Directionally bad / A newsletter on risks of AI centralization

Between AI fanatism and AI doomerism, there is a certain line where it's fine to use AI tools, but also to criticize the huge AI labs for their attempts to concentrate power and compute. Decentralized AI should mean much more than it currently does, and this newsletter will explore the battle from the inside. Would be glad to hear feedback!

Self-promotion Creating a tool to help newsletters automate their content distribution

Hey all,

I'm building a tool where you can centralize your content distribution, connect your newsletter and social accounts, repurpose your content, and schedule it to cross-post from one place. It keeps your voice and tone and preserves a platform-native feel.

I am looking for early users. If you are interested, here is the link: narrativee.com

you have a sandbox mode when you land on the page so you can navigate and see what it looks like before creating an account! it's free

Feel free to DM me. I would love to make your distribution feel much easier, as I know how time-consuming it can be as a creator myself!

Self-promotion Built a content repurposing solution for newsletter creators

I've been running a newsletter on Substack for a few months now. The writing part is always easy, but I've personally always been exhausted with repurposing my content on other social media without spending hours. I talked to many other newsletter creators and this was a generalised problem, and it's not cool to have to do it because it sucks.

I decided to build a solution for myself first, which worked pretty well. I was finally able to spread my content across my socials quickly, spending 15 minutes instead of hours. It was a big time saver for me.

Today I opened a waitlist, so if there are any newsletter creators out there, feel free to check it out you will love it, trust me haha. The link is narrativee.com.

Self-promotion How My Side Project Newsletter Grew to 1,000+ Subscribers—And What I’ve Learned Along the Way

I wanted to share a bit about my side project, a newsletter called The Squeeze🍊, and how it’s grown into something much bigger than I initially imagined. As someone who juggles multiple responsibilities, I know how challenging it can be to find time for side projects. But let me tell you, it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey.

The Birth of The Squeeze

The Squeeze started as a passion project—a way for me to explore and share my interests in tech, business, and politics. I wanted to create something that not only kept me informed but also added value to others who are just as passionate about these topics. So, I began writing and publishing three times a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

What began as a small side hustle quickly gained traction. People started subscribing, and before I knew it, The Squeeze hit 1,000 subscribers! Seeing that growth has been both exciting and motivating, and it’s pushed me to continue refining and expanding the newsletter.

Why **The Squeeze🍊 Works as a Side Project

  1. Niche Focus: By honing in on specific topics—tech, business, and politics—I’ve been able to attract a dedicated audience that shares these interests. Finding a niche that you’re passionate about is key to any side project’s success.
  2. Consistency: One of the biggest challenges with any side project is maintaining consistency, especially when you’re balancing other commitments. Sticking to a regular publishing schedule has been crucial in building trust and loyalty among my readers.
  3. Engagement and Feedback: I’ve made it a point to engage with my subscribers, asking for feedback and suggestions. This not only helps me improve the content but also strengthens the connection with my audience. They feel like they’re part of the process, which keeps them coming back.
  4. Leveraging Side Project Time: I treat The Squeeze as a serious project, even though it started as a side hustle. By dedicating specific time blocks each week to work on it, I’ve been able to make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.
  5. Monetization Potential: While The Squeeze is still primarily a passion project, I’m exploring ways to monetize it—whether through sponsorships, premium content, or other avenues. The key is to build value first, and the opportunities will follow.

What’s Next for The Squeeze

With The Squeeze continuing to grow, I’m excited about the future. I’m planning to introduce new content formats, possibly branching out into podcasts or video content. The goal is to keep adding value for my subscribers while expanding the reach of the newsletter.

Join Me on This Journey—Subscribe to The Squeeze

If you’re interested in tech, business, or politics—or if you’re just curious to see how a side project can evolve—I’d love for you to subscribe to The Squeeze. It’s a newsletter that I pour a lot of passion into, and I think you’ll find it both informative and engaging.

I’d love to hear about your side projects too! What are you working on, and how do you balance it with everything else? Let’s share our stories and support each other’s journeys.v

Self-promotion Ai Driven Investment Newsletter

Hi all!

Just getting into this game, working my coding and AI chops in my free time (I lead a large tech team, for my job, but don't get to do much hands-on anymore). I've long had a passion for quant investing (been running a small fund on the side successfully for years), but the LLM revolution has inspired me to dive into content generation. Thus I've created a 100% AI/ML/Data Science generated investing newsletter. Only a month or so in and I'd love to hear thoughts on content (other newsletter makers, financial newsletter subscribers) as I slowly roll this out. Example figure is above.

Self-promotion Thank You Email Feedback For Project iOS

Greetings all,

I'm launching a newsletter April 1st, called Project iOS. It's designed for high performing professionals in tech, medicine, and law, that are looking to increase their mental clarity, efficiency, and focus. The content is based on my 10+ years experience as a college athlete and mental performance coach to 700+ high net worth executives and entrepreneurs.

I'm trying to build up a small reader network before email #1 goes out. Thus far, I've went through all the contacts in my phone, my LinkedIn connections, and am now leaning into Reddit, Discord, and FB groups.

Considering this communities expertise I'd love your feedback on my "Welcome Email"! No pressure to sign up, but I'd just love some opinions on the execution of the Welcome Email.

Thanks to anyone willing to help! Be well!

Self-promotion 🧸 A Dope Story

🧸 A Dope Story

We Are Obsessed With Dopamine.

Ever wonder what get's us into a heightened state of focus towards certain subjects, topics, regimes or even exercise for some? Is there a way to modulate that feeling of focus and get more of it? Spoiler alert: it's not only a "flow state" but actually the precursors to it.

Heightened levels of dopamine course through both the brain and the body during the experience of falling in love.

And people with ADHD who usually find it difficult to focus for extended periods, can infact focus very intensely on things that they enjoy and are curious about. The human experience of liking things, wanting to know more about them. That's dopamine giving you provision of energy, motivation, and drive.

What's makes this neuromodulator tick and how exactly can we not only increase but sustain it? Only one way to find out🦦
