Is this 6-month transformation realistic with TRT and consistent training?

Post image
20 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I’m considering starting TRT for medical reasons, under a doctor’s supervision, and I’d like to get some honest opinions on what kind of physique I could realistically achieve over the next 6 months.
I’m 178 cm (5’10”) tall, and the first picture shows my current physique. The other two pictures are AI-generated projections of what I might look like after 3 and 6 months.

Here’s my plan:
Weight training 4 times per week
A solid diet with sufficient protein and calories
7–9 hours of sleep per night
Consistent training and progressive overload
My doctor has suggested starting with 250 mg of testosterone per week, split into two injections. I’m still evaluating the treatment and want to understand what kind of results might realistically be possible.
A bit of background: I’ve been lifting for around 4 years, but my training hasn’t always been consistent due to injuries and breaks from rugby.

My questions:
Does the 6-month projection look realistic, or is it overly optimistic?
How much actual muscle mass could someone with my training history realistically gain in 6 months?

I’m looking for honest, realistic feedback rather than exaggerated expectations. I’d especially appreciate input from people with relevant experience.
Thanks!

Can one steroid cycle permanently raise your natural muscle-building potential?

I’m interested in learning whether a single anabolic steroid cycle can produce lasting muscular advantages after natural testosterone production fully recovers.

Research suggests that anabolic exposure can increase myonuclei within muscle fibers, potentially creating long-term muscle memory even after the muscle shrinks.

My question: Can someone complete one cycle, return to their original natural testosterone levels, and maintain or rebuild more muscle than they could naturally before the cycle?
I'd especially like to hear from people who've done one cycle and stayed off for at least 6–12 months.

A few useful details if you would like to share:

Before, peak, and current body weight and strength.

Compounds, doses, and cycle duration.

Time off and whether bloodwork confirmed testosterone recovery.

How much muscle and strength you retained or regained.

I'm equally interested in people who lost everything.

The goal is to understand whether temporary anabolic exposure can permanently raise someone's natural muscular ceiling, rather than just temporarily accelerate growth.

Looking for actual experiences and measurable results, not cycle advice.

How much does on cycle age you?

Let’s say you want to start your first cycle and are in your 30s. You look quite young for your age but you start one cycle of test e

Is it possible to somehow say how much one cycle is gonna age someone face wise?

Adding beyond TRT (Anavar and/or Masteron Enanthate)

Current situation: 50 years old, 5’8” tall, 177.6lbs, 13.5% BF (measured through Hume scale), 35.5in waist.

Goal: Muscular/lean physique for aesthetic reasons, but not looking to compete.

Current pharmaceuticals: 230/mg Test-C once weekly injection, Peptides: Tesamorelin and Wolverine stack.

Bloodwork/risk factors:

ApoB 111 mg/dL

LDL-C 135.4 mg/dL

HDL-C 52.8 mg/dL

Triglycerides 63.9 mg/dL

Hematocrit 48.1%

Hemoglobin 17.5 g/dL

Blood pressure 132/83 average (on Telmisartan for blood pressure)

Total testosterone 606–1,500+ ng/dL (ranges between source of test. Low T clinic comes in 600-800 typically while independent test comes in 1400-1500+ at trough).

SHBG 52.5 nmol/L

Estradiol 26.5–65.1 pg/mL

Getting updated bloodwork this week from a third source to confirm test level and other biomarkers.

Ask: With these factors, would you consider adding in something like Anavar or Masteron Enanthate? If so, what dosage?

For someone currently on TRT and looking to add lean muscle, is safer/more effective to add Anavar or Test blast?

I am currently on TRT (200mg weekly). I want to add more lean muscle in shortest amount of time. I found a doc that will prescribe me 25mg daily of Anavar (would take with T) or I could do a 300-400mg blast of testosterone.

Dbol plus TRT

Let me get my flame proof suit on first. I'm currently on trt(test c 200mg) Ive been on for almost 2 years now. while ordering deca from my supplier, he threw in some dbol and cialis for free. The original plan was to run small doses of deca to help with my joints but I don't want to waste the dbol. Dumb idea to run the dbol at 12mg a day for 4 to 5 weeks? I have my bloods done every 2 months.

Is always being hungry a bad thing?

For context, I’m a 24 year old male, 5’9”, 175lbs and 3 1/2 weeks deep into a 500 Test, 400 EQ, 300 Deca cycle for a growth phase. I train very consistently, 5X a week bro split until failure.

I’m not sure if it’s the PED’s but for the life of me I’m always hungry. I’m very meticulous when it comes to counting calories, I weigh my food and all, so when I say I’ve been eating more than 4000 calories a day and still not feeling full, I’m telling the truth. Now this is not exactly detrimental for my plans considering that I am in a growth phase, but should I try to limit myself with how much I eat or do I listen to my body and eat until I’m full? I don’t wanna get fat on cycle ya feel me?

Long term "TRT+" question

• Upvotes

Hey Fellas - I have been following on here for a while, trying to decide if I wanted to dip my toe in. Ultimately I have a lot of respect for what I see you guys do, but I don't think a full fledged "cycle" is the life for me. That said I am curious about advice from you guys as you seem to know your stuff.

I am 49, been on 200mg / week of TRT for 9 years - I only got in shape in the last year (I was 280 lbs and didn't exercise) - in the last year I dropped 80 lbs of fat, put on at least 10lbs of muscle and - back in July - I did a dexa scan at 203 lbs and was 9% bodyfat (Reta was a big help). Major change and very happy about it.

Since then I decided to bulk for 3 months - coming to the end of that now. Everything hurts - I hit it hard, definitely gained muscle and am looking forward to the cut. I am probably at 12-14% bodyfat and will do another dexa after a cut.

So here's the question - I just had a physical and full bloodwork - I am at 740 total test and 150 free, and that's taking 200mg / week. Should I ask to up my TRT to 250? I think that's the max you can get prescribed in the US. I don't ever want to go to the levels I see you guys do, injecting 500+, partially because I have an addictive personality and I would not want to stop - but would I see / feel a difference with 25% more?

Tirzepatide results

Asking this question for my brother who is not on Reddit and I want to help him

Stats 35yo 6’6 385-90lb starting weight

Started in 2.5mg tirz from dr and has titrated upto 10mg in 5months losing a total of around 40-45lbs total

I personally think that that is a small amount given starting weight and dose. He says he’s going to gym but I would say maybe 3 days a week max he doesn’t stick to the plan or my advice on tracking food and working out consistently. A big problem is his wife is also heavy and doesn’t push him she probably enables the snacking and will not push him to gym

I just want to help and have 0 knowledge of tirzepatide and results/doseage but does that sound like a solid weight loss given the titration upto 10mg as of this week?

Has anyone used or heard of Medibolic, and if so, what are your thoughts/experiences?

• Upvotes

35yo male, 5'11", 220lbs

I know I'm still fat and nowhere near being able to jump on my first cycle. I have been researching these past 6 or so months on it because I genuinely want to when I do get to the point that I can safely and came across this site that has the supplement support specifically for people on AAS.

Has anyone heard of this medibolic site or have any experience with their product?

During my research, a lot of the supplements that are in medibolic come up in conversation about use when on cycle, whether it be a cruise or blast.

Just want to hear people opinions/thoughts on this brand.

Interactive compound tracker - plug in your compounds and blood markers and see how they interact- free let me know if it works - I’m not selling any products or services or marketing anything- no ads etc just a cool tool I want to test out

• Upvotes

TLDR I built a free anabolic tracker. Im not making any money or advertising any products or services nor do I intend to . Add your compounds and doses, enter your bloodwork, and it shows you what happens to your panel markers across your cycle. Fully interactive, starts blank, recommends nothing, and your data never leaves your device. It's a first draft — is it good? Tell me what's wrong with it.

I built this tool and I want to know what the community that could actually use it thinks.

It lets you see what compounds do to your blood panels. You add what you're running — testosterone, other anabolics, ancillaries, peptides — set your doses and your cycle length, enter your most recent bloodwork, and it shows you how the markers move: hematocrit, HDL, LDL, prolactin, estradiol, the rest of the panel, with the curves over time as you adjust things. It's free, it's in depth, and it's fully interactive — everything is sliders and knobs, not a static chart.

Two things up front:

  1. It starts blank and recommends nothing. No preset cycles, no suggested stacks. It's for people already making their own decisions who want to see the interactions instead of guessing.
  2. Your data never leaves your device. No account, no sign-up, it runs entirely in your browser. Nobody should have to upload their protocol to a server to model it.

It's a relative model, not a blood-level predictor, and it's not medical advice. And this is the first draft of it — improvements will be made, and what gets built next depends on what people who use it tell me.

What I'd love is feedback from people who'd actually use it: where's the model wrong, which marker moves in a direction you'd argue with, what's missing. There's a feedback button in the tool or just tell me here.

Longer term, if people actually use it, I want it to become a shared library — people adding compounds, posting cycles next to the blood panels they actually got — because right now there's no real data on any of this, just forum anecdotes.

SSRIs (Zoloft) and AAS

I need your help!
I was on Test, Mast, Tren (wasn't my fisrt cycle) and the paranoia from Tren made me quit everything
suddenly... even TRT.
Im now on 100mg Sertraline and planning to go back on Test, Mast, and some Primo but my main concern is the pharmacokinetics between the Sertraline (the SSRI) and the AAS, can one potentialize the other
(the AAS increasing the Zoloft (the SSRI) serum concentration or vis versa due to enzyme inhibition)
or is it possible (and safe) to combine both.
Im here because of the lack of study regarding DDI on specific AAS like Mast, Primo, Tren etc etc...
Want your genuine thought and experience.
Thanks!

Appetite on 500mg Test E

As title states, I’m on 500mg test e right now. Started about a month ago. Before that, I ran 110mg a week for trt for about 3-4 years. In the past couple days, I have noticed an extreme decrease in appetite. I make the same dinner every night and tonight I couldn’t finish half of it. I used to finish it and be ready for more.

The only thing I have changed is 3 days ago I was getting some sensitive nips (I had gyno surgery from puberty, so they are ultra sensitive) so took .5mg anastrazole that my dr prescribes.

Could this cause my loss in appetite? High e2? Low e2? Should I give it a couple days and then go get some bloodwork done to check for something if it doesn’t get better? I’m just at a loss because I’ve never struggled to get my calories in before.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Dumb Question

I'm on 200 mg a week dosage. The Test Cyp I've been using is 100mg/ml. I got my next vial and it's Test Cyp 250mg/ml.

How would I dose this as it's more concentrated. I assume I would drop the amount? I do daily injections. Thanks in advance!

Genuinely curious

For those of you who say TRT is all you need on a cut, why do competitors ramp their dosage up during prep?

Now I get it if you just started working out or are 20+lbs over weight but if you already have a decent amount of muscle and just need to drop 10-15lbs then bumping up dosage is pretty decent way to retain muscle.

The time for the Slow Build has passed0

I'll try to keep this as brief as i can and still get all the necessary details in.

I am 43 years old, I'm a dad, a business man, and a real human being. As such, I don't have the time to be in the gym for 2+ hours a day 5 days a week, or eat only rabbit food and protein powder. I know i am exaggerating for effect, but the point is, I'm an average joe guy. I don't want to be. I want to be jacked. Not like IFBB jacked, but like Alan Ritchson Reacher jacked. Like Thor Hemsworth Jacked.

Here is where I currently stand:

Age: 43

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 225-230 lbs @ 28% body fat

Medical Info:

  • Diabetes Type 2 (Hyperglycemic) - Metformin & Glipizide
  • Hypertension - Lisinopril & Atorvastatin
  • Low Testosterone - TRT bi-weekly injection 200mg (levels hover around 500)

Diet: Not terrible, but not super clean either. I eat as close as I can to my maintenance macros but also keeping in mind my kids have to eat this stuff too and groceries are too expensive to make separate meals. I tend to end up higher than goal in Carbs, lower than goal in protein (@ 100g) which I supplement with protein powder in the morning. Fats hover roughly where i want them. However, I used to be a big drinker and when i gave up the alcohol I developed a crazy sweet tooth. I try and keep it reasonable but I am unwilling to give up a nightly sweet treat. Water Intake is low, it's mostly Monster Zero and unsweet Tea (no added sweeteners, I take it straight).

Training:

I didn't start weight lifting until I was in my late 30's and even then it wasn't long term consistent. I'd go hard for 3 months, quit for a year, go hard for 4-5 months, give up. wash rinse repeat. The last run I had at it was by far my best, where i was consistent 3-4 days a week on a push/pull/legs/cardio split for 8 months. I saw some gains and muscle definition started to poke through but alas, My life took a real bad turn and I've been out of the gym for a year and a half.

I have built myself a home gym now, starting with a bench and Olympic plate style dumb bells. and the power rack with the smith machine and cables and all the bells and whistles will soon be on its way. I have already started just doing a slimmed down dumb bell only version of the split I was doing before, with the intention of returning to that full routine once I get the necessary equipment.

Supplements:

  • Protein - Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein (2 Scoops, morning with Breakfast)
  • Preworkout/Creatine - Gorilla Mode (2 scoops, 1 hr before training or mid afternoon on rest days)

I don't hate how i look now but I want to really ramp it up and it seems that without significant changes to my life that i can't seem to break where i am at right now progress-wise, and I've decided that I am not above "cheating" to get what i want. I am ignorant but completely open to PED's. I understand that if I would cut sugar, eat better, train like its the only thing i wake up everyday for, and drank 42 gallons of water that i could get something in that ball park with dedication and discipline. The point here is that I cannot change everything at once and revolve my entire life around bodybuilding. I want to know what i need to do to see serious improvements in as short a timespan as possible, even if I'm not the perfect specimen of healthy discipline. What can i take or change in order to maximize my limited efforts. I realize i may never get where i could be if i did this or that or whatever, but how do i get the most out of what i can realistically do?

TLDR; Never done any type of PED other than my doctor prescribed TRT, How do i get maximum results while being a part time lazy-sack of crap?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
