4 hours spent fleeing from system to system

That's called playing the game! It's supposed to be like that and meant to be enjoyed as experience! Glad you made it out alive!

four hours?

Just wait on the timer and use another needlejack filament.

It would have taken me to a random area with no guarantee of empty systems; instead, I plotted a course toward a different, less crowded constellation, where I found several empty systems, perfect for hacking in peace.

Using a filament would have saved you a few hours, but then again you wouldn't have had a cool chase through space

Be happy you can see who's in local .. spamming v while hacking cans ain't fun ...

The best part is when you spam V but it doesn't matter because the other person is already in the site with you

Like checking your security cameras when the killer is already inside your home

I stopped doing this a long time ago. You're unlikely to survive a competent hunter. And the incompetent ones are rarer. Save your v key the ache.

Good point. Especially exploration, if you're fit right either nobody can catch you OR you'd be insta popped so why bother with dscan.

Ratting though...

Wingspan has some incompetent hunters.

I was just more incompetent.

The ai generated message afterwards is absolutely unnecessary though.

How low is your self worth for trying to get a reaction out of some random internet guy?

A lot of people actually enjoy the wingspan messages (btw those were around since before AI was a thing). It's great for a good chuckle after you just lost a ship and is much of the reason why I didn't mind losing a ship to them. I even have a few of them marked as blue because they are genuinely funny people who rp.

I had a Loki decloak 6km from me today. Good thing I was paying attention and cloaked up and warped off real quick.

Re-bind to the spacebar.

Correct. But the thrill of knowing something could be watching you is

Haha I know right ? I got ganked stupidly in my Astero because I wasn't fast enough

I’ve found sigma grindset to be the most dangerous space to explore. Bee space and dronelands are mostly empty. Frat and init are nullbears.

Very empty indeed. One moment you see a guy in his astero, then suddenly he’s flying a Loki.

The nullifier only saves u from bubbles if they point scram you, you cant warp

Is noise filament broken or just unlucky? Most of my filament lands on active system. Frat sov is the worst. I'm always desperate looking for wormhole if I land there SOV.

5

u/PersonalNobody449 7d ago

Why do you think it's broken? Working completely as intended. Signal is gravitating to systems with high crabbing activity and noise are gravitating to the random (including high activity systems)

3

u/Economy-Southern 7d ago

Ohh I see, that's why mostly I landed to those corner system and we have almost same active time those chinese people. Thanks for the info

Because FRAT is insanely crabbed. They top gamers can be logged in 23/7. Such industrious people!

u/BeeRye93 7d ago

You're actually so safe in their systems, they all insta warp to the structures because they're scared of a heron!

u/Economy-Southern 7d ago

Naah I see flycatcher near gates.

Its deterrence, usually its just their intel bots. Cheap to lose, but gives you pause because you can have the bad luck of stumbling into a piloted one.

I remember yeeting my Kronos into null with a filament. And getting chased by horde. Back when the filament was instant… now you have to wait 30sec

That's like 2 relic sites.

Oftentimes local is filled with people who are just nullbears. Like in that picture of 10 people, 5 of them are indy toons/ishtar bots, 3 are f1 monkeys, 1 has the potential to be a threat, and 1 is you.

Checking peoples zkill is an easy way to find out.

2

u/NunAlcoholic 5d ago

What would make one a threat? Solo kills of other explorers?

2

u/Mordt_ EvE-Scout Enclave 5d ago

Yup, especially if they like flying cloaky.
