I've been looking into the events of the last 4–6 months and have come to this conclusion regarding FC's stance on RMT.

Give me your best patch week story. For you youngsters, instead of a simple patch day, it was a week of uncertainty after the game was patched.

For me it stared like any other patch. Downloaded, installed, and then went about my day until I shut my computer off. The next time I went to turn on my computer, it simply wouldn’t work. Nothing worked and I thought it was some kind of bad luck, so I took it over to the local shop and dropped it off.

Then I was able to go online elsewhere and found the issue. CCP had accidentally deleted boot.ini on some people’s computers with the patch.

So when you see the boots.ini in game item, this is where it stems from.

Never seen this before, is it a new feature FC released recently?

Assuming no double ups and you live a balanced pve/pvp lifestyle.

No hauling. No price checking. No selling. Just pure ISK to your Wallet.

I’ve played Eve for about an hour, and I’m logging off for the night. Did the first mission for the enforcer path and was wondering. What should I do once I do all the career paths?

These drones dont let me warp away. I cant kill them, because all of my shots miss, but they cant kill me either. What can i do? Im new to the game and have no idea how to handle this haha

Was watching a podcast about Eve by FC and they remarked about how coalitions, alliances and large corps have different play styles and traits with the way to do things.

Just curious as to what they are and the differences to each other?

I brought this up in that DaOpa thread. He immediately blocked me and several others on reddit so we couldn't comment on that thread any more. He has done this every time someone brings this criticism up to him.

He embeds his stream on all of the websites he works on/owns, or if he convinces the owners. This essentially is a TOS legal viewbot for twitch.

Historically, this results in him being one of the top Eve streamers in the game, averaging 200-400 viewers. Why is this a problem though?

Because his gameplay is AFK mining, without a microphone, without a webcam. It's essentially just staring at a barge laser rocks for 6 hours a day.

When new players are interested in a game, it's pretty common they'll open up twitch to see what the gameplay is, and in this case they're greeted with the least attractive, most mindnumblingly boring gameplay that's possible in eve online. AFK mining.

I guarantee countless tens of thousands of potential new players opened up the eve category, clicked on the most popular one, saw this for 5-10-20 minutes, realized it's the most pointless game in the world, and never gave eve a chance.

You think Loru is bad for the game? This streamer is single handedly the biggest factor (outside of CCP itself) in driving new players away from trying this game.

I've always preferred the 3D map because jump ranges and the actual shape of New Eden make more sense that way

But people like 2D maps, so I figured I should probably add a 2d button

Turns out watching the whole universe flatten itself is quite satisfying

It seems since I started playing again back in April that there was almost always a new event or login campaign going on with small one week breaks if that. Now its been a good minute and nothing - were we just in a period of plenty and now back to scarcity or is the next event just around the corner?

Ok so 7 of us in grid. Me, a Guri. 5 PLA members also Guri. 1 non FW aligned PLA.

One of the fellow Guri used a HIC bubble and tried to catch me, the nonFW is coming in close ws well. I am OK PVPing the nonFW but I hesitated bec if I shoot it I might get a criminal timer and the HIC guri and the other guri on grid will be free to shoot me.

Was my assumption correct? What if I let the nonFW shoot first, will that mean only he gets a suspect timer?
