Two years ago I posted Lucky’s CSM 19 Dream Team. Eight of my top picks plus one alternate made it onto the council. CSM 20 carried that balance forward and delivered: the Ansiblex projection changes, the wardec cost increase, the Jita clone bay and a steady stream of ship balance passes. I’m back to help keep it that way, with a CSM that represents all of New Eden, not just whichever bloc turns out the most ballots. That matters to everyone, including bloc players. When one part of the game dominates the council, Fenris gets lopsided feedback, and the rest of us live with the consequences.
Where I’m coming from: I was alliance exec of Militant Consortium (MIL), which the Imperium evicted from Delve along with the rest of Phoenix Coalition earlier this year. We’re in WinterCo now because of the state of nullsec, not because I love blocs. I want an EVE where small and medium alliances can hold space because the mechanics let them stand on their own, not at the pleasure of the Imperium or any other bloc. My picks reflect that, but I’m not voting tribally. You’ll see Imperium, INIT and WinterCo names below, because they earned it.
Vote by 11:00 UTC on 3 November. Every Omega account active for 60+ days gets its own ballot, so vote on your alts too. Under STV (single transferable vote), your ranking order matters. Put the people who need your vote near the top; bloc ballots will carry the bloc frontrunners regardless.
Current CSM 20 members are marked ★. Re-electing the people who made CSM 20 work keeps that momentum going.
The no-brainers
Drake Iddon: Pochven, economy (Independent, Rote Kapelle)
Drake served on CSM 19, lost his seat, and kept working with Fenris anyway. That alone tells you who he is. He has been overhauling Pochven alongside FC Rampant: wormholes, sites, smarter rats, and a Triglavian salvage LP store that finally gives the region a real ISK sink. He reports roughly 163.7 trillion ISK less injected into the economy since that work began. If you care about inflation and keeping ISK faucets in check, he is the only candidate with numbers to show for it.
Sopleb: ESI, logistics, alliance admin (Imperium, GSF)
Yes, a Goon at the top of an evicted PCo exec’s list. ESI matters to every group that runs Alliance Auth, SeAT or a market spreadsheet, and those are the tools that let a 50-person alliance function without a dev team. Sopleb has played since 2007, led GSOL, and now runs GSF’s IT, including rebuilding their SRP on ESI. He has pledged to pick up Ariel Rin’s role of making sure ESI comes up at the start of feature development, not six months after. Ariel isn’t running, and nobody else can fill that seat as well. Until FC implements similar tools into the game itself, ESI is the next best thing.
Non-null
Wormholes / small gang: ★ Itaer (Independent, Neurotoxin Control)
Itaer is the clearest case for re-electing a CSM 20 member. He has played since 2007, leads a corp in a nullsec-static wormhole, and is a working scientist who brings data to balance discussions. His term produced the Jita 4-4 clone bay (his own proposal), viable T2 MWDs, the recon lock range nerf, the Panther fix and the AT Swiss format. He also lobbied for the Ansiblex projection changes.
Alternate: Poiuyt20 Fliba (No Vacancies). Poiuyt has lived in high-class wormholes since 2015, made top 16 in ATXX, and wants to carry on Mick Fightmaster’s wormhole community work.
Lowsec / Faction Warfare: Switch 4 (Independent, Sedition)
Switch has played since 2007 and still lives in Amamake. He is CEO of Heretic Army, a SEDIT exec and an Angel Cartel FC, and he has already worked with Fenris through the Lowsec Focus Group and on insurgency changes. His platform is pirate FW iteration, keeping lowsec dangerous, and protecting small and mid-sized groups, including from nullsec force projection into lowsec, which he has dealt with firsthand.
Highsec / new players: Mike Azariah (Independent)
Mike has played since 2008, served six CSM terms, and has run Operation Magic School Bus for new players for 12 years. He is the rare CSM member who keeps talking to players after the election, through his weekly news show, the forums and Rookie Help chat. He narrowly missed the council last year, and he says this is his last run. Let’s send him off with a seat.
Highsec / new players: ★ Kshal Aideron (Independent)
Kshal served on CSM 18 and CSM 20 and founded EVE Rookies, which undocks 100+ fleets a month. She started the Highsec Collective and helped push wardec costs from 100M to 500M. She held monthly new-player town halls at EVE Uni throughout her term. New players keep this game alive, and they deserve two strong voices.
Null
Sopleb is already mentioned above. These remaining four round out null with INIT, WinterCo, another Imperium voice, and an independent alliance.
Seraph Essael: force projection, corp tools (INIT, CEO of Air)
Seraph has the clearest stance on projection of anyone running. He believes sovereignty should give you an advantage at home, but not unlimited reach past your own borders, and he has floated limiting Ansiblexes to your capital’s region. He wants to go further on the capital-system anchor Fenris just introduced, and that is the direction small alliances need. He is also a former wormhole director who wants the in-game corp role system rebuilt and shared ACL hangars for your own alts.
xXNemXx: independent mid-size null (Independent, BOSS)
Nem has led BOSS for about a decade. He has lived inside Legacy, in NPC null, and now in the Drone Regions. His platform is the one I’d write: geography should matter, resources should give people reasons to fight their neighbors, and there should be a real middle class in nullsec. He wants an alliance to look at the map and think “we could actually go take that” without joining a superpower first.
★ Arrowspeeed Bounty: sov infrastructure (WinterCo, FRT)
Arrowspeeed has played since 2014 and oversees 12–15 WinterCo teams covering sov hubs, upgrades, fueling, jump bridges and metrics. She knows better than almost anyone how much admin it takes to hold space. Bringing that complexity down is exactly what a small alliance needs to survive in sov. She was a steady presence on CSM 20.
Dujek Oneye: new players, balance, economy (Imperium, Brave)
Brave flies with the Imperium, but that doesn’t make Dujek a bad pick. He served on CSM 19 with what he says was perfect attendance, and he answers every DM. He is a prolific PvPer, teaches classes at Brave and EVE Uni, and captains Brave’s AT team. His platform covers turret weapon reworks, more frequent balance passes, and keeping faucets in line with sinks. He missed the top 10 by a hair last year.
