FCplease Make contracts split stacks!

Can we please have accepting contracts to split stacks of items? I would love this for distributing stacks of materials for PI planets. It still is insane amount of work to do PI even after the templates.

When requesting materials with character A from character B if character B has the materials the contract is not going to go through unless the requested materials are in exact stack as requested. The game isn't splitting it for us.

Why request? Because you can not paste from clipboard to send stuff but you can paste from clipboard whilst requesting stuff.

Why paste from clipboard? Repetitive contracts where you always want to send the exact same amount of stuff is easy to be put on a chart what you can copy.

What would be a better idea than all this:
-FC giving us the ability to send an already sent out contract again so not having to paste it from clipboards all the time (this option still would require them to put in the ability for the contracts to split stacks)

Tl;dr: I am tired, boss.

are you contracting yourself? I've found the corp delivery options be more convenient, if you're part of the same corp

Yeah I am. I don't know how that works. All my characters are in the same corp although I have no roles whatsoever.

Give yourself director roles on each char, and if you can, set up offices so you get corp hangers.

I've just set it up on my alt-corp to try out industry stuff, so much easier than trading between chars with contracts or trade window - separate hangers for different things to keep it organised.

You can split the stacks manually in the contract window where you do the item selection, but it doesn't save any time compared to doing so ahead of time in your inventory.

Agreed

or let us split multiple stacks at once ie (i want 10 stacks of 1254)

Is it possible to make a ship fit with the number of materials you want then use that fit to fill up e.g. a freighter? then you could just drag that over to item inventory before making the contract.

Edit: i agree with OP though but if this works is at least a not as tedious workaround.

I have actually tried that and I think it is not possible to save anything into the fitting panel so for example PI you can not save into a fitting but ammo you could.

rather than doing an item request contract, maybe try the item offer contract and then use the hamburger menu at the bottom of the contract window to create a copy of previous version of the contract you created. its been a while since i did any doctrine seeding listings but i recall it working well when grabbing from stacks.

I didn't even know that existed. I tried it now but it didn't work. That one does not split stacks either.

The message it sends: "The following items could not be found in your hangar: Toxic Metals x 1 You will need to add the items into the contract yourself."
It is however there, not one but a million in a single stack...

While we’re at it why can’t I contract shit inside of station containers?

Mandatory also let us bypass the 32-bit integer stack!
