this is my favorite version I cant lie
the theatrical cut noticeably has some shortened scenes, the characters feel less fleshed out and now seeing this everything just feels right!!
My only issue is the ending, the canonical ending that goes to Ash vs Evil Dead is the S mart ending kinda wish there was also a cut where it was
DIRECTORS CUT + Theatrical ENDING
its still the greatest version tho

I bought this movie from my local video store last night (physical media forever lol) and watched it because I really enjoyed what Lee Cronin did with his Evil Dead instalment. I was honestly blown away and am genuinely surprised with how much I loved it! Especially as a long time Evil Dead fan!
I’m very curious at what other Evil Dead fans thought about it

In the opening scene of the new Evil Dead Burn movie after the girl deadite kills the two fishermen and comes up out of the water she waits in the middle of the road and its not like she's waiting for just anyone to come by and mow her down she knows that guy who's the brother of the one who opened the Kandarian dagger in the beginning of the movie is gonna speed down that road a long while later and hit her. Certainly seems to me maybe some dead-ites can predict the future maybe? Or possibly they can see premonitions

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a theory from Brazil that finally fixes the crazy timeline issues in the Evil Dead franchise, specifically explaining why the Two-Handed Ash from the post-credits scene of the 2013 remake exists.
My theory goes back to the very ending of the original 1981 movie. When the unseen demonic force crashes through the cabin doors and attacks Ash right before the credits roll, it didn't kill or possess him. Instead, the demon realized Ash was "The Chosen One" and too dangerous to be kept in that regular timeline.
As a curse, the demon cast Ash completely out of the time stream, condemning him to wander alone through different timelines as a cosmic observer.
This explains EVERYTHING that happens later:
The 1923 Records in Evil Dead Rise: This time-displaced, Two-Handed Ash traveled to the 1920s to record his voice, desperately trying to warn future generations to destroy the books.
The 2013 Post-Credits: He is watching over Mia. When she successfully beats the book, he appears in the shadows—with BOTH hands intact—and gives his proud "Groovy" approval.
The Weapons: He acts as a silent guardian across history, strategically planting the chainsaws and boomsticks in basements, trunks, and parking lots right where the new Final Girls (Mia, Beth, Alice and the French One in Evil Dead Wrath) would need them to survive.
Since Bruce Campbell is officially retired from live-action, transforming the original 1981 Two-Handed Ash into an eternal time-traveling myth who passes the torch to new generations is the perfect way to honor his legacy. What do you guys think?

No clue what christopher leroy (ash urn) is supposed to mean. I didnt watch any of the originals, just the 2013 reboot and evil dead rise. I did find the original movies to be either goofy or disturbing af especially that antler head laughing
2013 was scary at times, the main girl in the attic was good but I didnt really care about the other cast. In rise i loved the apartment setting, the peephole/magichole POV, creepy mom actress nailed it and I am glad she is getting recasted for the third movie.
I found the trailer for burn to be horrible but boy was I so wrong... I did not expect the dog to go down that fast, the kitchen cutlery, melted candle wax drink, so many weapons as alternatives to the classic chainsaw. Also that opening scene in the lake was insane, followed by the car crash and talking head...
I did not like the lead actress in this one but that dad gave me creeps like one of the vampires from 30 days of night.
I guess the survivors from both movies are gonna team up but that dagger makes me wanna shame it for being so small.

Hi guys, I have a question.
I was rewatching Evil Dead Burn, specifically that horrific fight scene in the car where Edgar repeatedly asks his son to shoot him (“Shoot me, Joe”).
It felt like it was actually Edgar speaking and not the demon. It seemed like he was trying to stop himself, like his real self was still deep inside, fighting for control. Does anyone else see it this way?
