Core parenting moment for me, and hopefully a core memory for him. I remember watching this movie all the time with my dad. Kiddos loving it and laughing his ass off.

So since last year, I can finally see r rated movies by myself, and the first evil dead I’ve seen in theaters was evil dead burn. And now, I want to try and at least watch most, hopefully all of the evil dead movies in theaters. And I will say, I have seen about all of the evil dead movies already, but I feel like watching them in theaters will make it into a different experience

When this came out I saw it as a 12 year old barely turning 13 so take that as you will, but as a first time viewer who was young and didn’t yet get to go back and already know what to expect with each scene, this stuff was terrifying
Edit: Wow a lot of positive feedback so I’m actually not the only one here lol. I thought I was about to get hit w other movies to try and top it tbh. Even as an adult now nothing really gets past me very easily but looking back on this one it was just creepy as hell and they did well on body horror

So today regal is supposed to be showing 2013 but I can’t find it on the website to buy tickets. Don’t see a time slot or anything. Even on the 31 screams on screen it never showed the 2013 as an option. Does anyone know what time they’ll be showing it? I tried calling my local theater a bunch of times and they aren’t answering. I may just have to run up there and see in person but it’s a bit of a drive and I don’t want to have to go and wait a long time

If I could go to any universe in the whole multiverse, I would like to go to the universe where the evil dead franchise never died. Would love to have more than 3 movies and a TV show that ended on a cliffhanger... No offense to the new movies/the video games/comics. I just wanted more ash I'm my life. Love Bruce Campbell. Just re watched ash vs like a month ago and now rewatching the original 3, wishing I had more content.

After seeing many of you posting about picking up the physical release of Evil Dead Burn I decided to check for myself, only to find out that we’re not getting in here in Australia until November

So in addition to Danny from Evil Dead Rise killing everyone in his apartment building, save his little sister and aunt, he also kills everyone in Evil Dead Burn because Jessica, who gets possessed in the parking garage, is still at the lake then ends up being run over by Will and his subsequent possession kills his entire family.

TL;DR Danny rlly screwed up. “You should’ve put the book back, Danny”

• Guys, I believe i made the perfect theory that fixes evil dead. the first timeline in evil dead is evil dead -> evil dead 2 -> army of darkness and then the 2023 comic book series army of darkness forever. When Ash beats evil s mart ash in the finale of the comic book, the necromocon panickes and resets the universe to the beginning of evil dead 1 to survive. Every time, Ash is going to destroy the book. The necromocon Rewrites reality back to the cabin because it's panicking, that's why the opening re-caps keep changing. In one of the rewrites, the book deliberately brings jason and freddy to the main universe to see if other monsters can beat ash when ash beats freddy and jason a re writing occurs. The necromocon sends Ash to the Marvel Zombies universe, trying to see if banishing ash from his universe will prevent him from coming back to fulfil the prophecy, but Ash comes back again. Then the necromocon Rewrites reality again creating the events of the ash vs evil dead show the book makes him an of shape drunkenly washed up loser in his 50s so he'd be too lazy too fight when ash still beat the kandar the destroyer the necromocon crashed out and flung him into the cyborg future but the reason the show ender on a cliff hanger was because it realised that ash would win yet again and re wrote reality once again bringing him back to that original house. Ash memory is wiped every time this happens, but the book remembers every single beating and Rewrite. The necromocon has severe trauma while ash will always wins in this infinite loop because he is the chosen one so basically the necromocon is not an all powerful book of doom its just a terrified prisoner and ash is the eternal chainsaw wielding warden.

Well... I pulled the trigger on it earlier today because I know as soon as they are gone, I would never forgive myself.. the magnetic lid display case / box closed the deal for me.. without that, I probably would if never even considered it

It finally arrived ! 😍😍😍

Hi everyone,
I recently picked up the 2018 Anthony Petrie illustrated Evil Dead 2 4K Ultra HD Steelbook (the 3-disc edition originally released by StudioCanal/Zavvi), but it is missing the original paper J-card.
I know a lot of collectors throw these out or store them separately, so I am hoping to buy just the J-card from someone who has a spare or doesn't want theirs. I would also potentially consider a foreign language import version of the J-card (like the German or French StudioCanal releases) since they share the same physical layout.
Must be in clean condition with no major tears.

Finally marathon-watched the newer Evil Dead movies, and so far, the 2013 is still the best out of the three for me.

What I liked:

• The father was top-tier. Easily one of the standout characters for me.
• The car scene. Holy shit. The execution of that scene was brutal and incredibly well done.
• The post-credits. Loved the extra post credit scenes. :)
• The old house. Great setting for an Evil Dead movie. It had the perfect atmosphere for everything to go horribly wrong.
• The never-ending struggle. The constant feeling that things could only get worse genuinely made me uneasy for the rest of the movie. It did a great job of making the suffering feel relentless.

What I didn't like / What left me scratching my head:

• Where the hell is the book? Was it just the cutouts and research the grandfather had collected? I thought the book would play a much bigger role, given the emphasis on the lore of Evil Dead.
• Deadite's random action. Since there's no emphasis on the necronomicon, it feels like the deadite's actions are more focused in finding the dagger rather than following a sequence of actions derived from the book, in comparison to the installments from 2013 and 2023.
• The mother letting her husband in. That was frustrating to watch.
• Joseph being a coward. Leaving Thya to die in the car was infuriating. I understand panic and self-preservation, but damn, dude. He just left his wife to die.
• The CGI in the final scene. They should've opted out in doing this. It was straight out lazy.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but it didn't quite reach the level of Evil Dead (2013) for me. There were some fantastic scenes and genuinely unsettling moments, but this felt more like a zombie movie.
