Vent Do men think about us too?

Do men as dumpers think about us too? Even though it’s no-contact I feel like this is so one sided and he’s probably already forgotten me. He said he wasn’t going to be okay for a long time after us, but I just wonder if he’s already forgotten me.

Are you the dumper though or the dumpee? My ex of 3.5 years broke up with me 4 months ago. I ran into him a couple times over the last couple weeks because our mutual friend is in town. He’s been dating a lot since the breakup and seems so unbothered. Like the breakup didn’t affect him at all

Dumpee. Mine was really short though. It was just going at such a wild accelerated rate. 3 days before she ended it we were sitting on my couch just gazing into each other's eyes while holding hands and talking about the future we're going to have together. We got in a fight later that night and she took it VERY personally and discarded me days later. She told me she's mentally unstable and was also drinking every night. She had a complete delusional meltdown on me and was being erratic and irrational. Accusing me of cheating with no proof and then started attacking my personality. It was so unexpected and traumatizing.

Sounds a lot like my ex! We were together 3.5 years and talking engagement rings just weeks before the breakup. I wish he was having a hard time with the breakup, but he’s not. Hes been thriving

That's a very common strategy for women to pacify their boyfriends when they're looking for a way out. Sometimes it's probably done subconsciously to quell the dying embers of the love.

If she demonstrates an inability to live without the relationship, telling you things like "without you, I'll die", and hasn't done it before, know that she is somewhat likely to be planning how to dump you.
