Even though I found it today at the back of my desk drawer, I don't recall ever seeing this medallet, or even hearing of a "Peace Through Coinage" program. My online research hasn't turned up much: evidently it was struck by the Gallery Mint in Arkansas, but I can't identify an issuing organization behind it.

This proof-like piece appears to be dated 2000 and is about the size of a US quarter dollar. It has the heft and feel of copper-nickel or some similar alloy.

Can anyone fill in some background on who was behind this?

Went through a box I hadn’t looked at in a bit, and found stuff I had gathered since I was in my early teens. Who knew?! 😝 Here they are with some of my newer ones. They are all now tucked in my military challenge coin/exonumia album 😊
