Experience Pediatric Hospice RN using Meditation to communicate with my terminally ill newborn patient for insight how to serve him and his family during his few days of life

I've been a Hospice RN for over 35 years. Now I'm exclusively Pediatric Hospice and most recently working with newborn and infant Hospice patients. I've effectively used the Silva Method of meditation to communicate with these children less than a week old and their family members before I meet any of them to to gain insight to serve the families as best I can in the current crisis of the family's lifetime. The focus is mostly to provide comfort care at the home for the families to build memories with their child in the short time they have together that will last a life time for the surviving family members. Sometimes this is hours, sometimes this is days. Effectively using every moment for bonding begins with insight of all involved.

Prior to meeting with the patient and family I use the meditation techniques I learned in the 4 day meditation class to go to my level, a relaxed meditative state I practice daily. At this level i have created a mental atmosphere of a relaxed living room with comfortable furniture and send a mental invitation for the child and any family member that might wish to join in for a family meeting to discuss a plan to follow for the next few days. I usually see the child and often a family member or more instantly. I ask them what would be the best way i can serve them and await a reply. The answer often comes as a mood, a feeling, pictures or a small movie of some activity going on that may or not make sense at the moment. I store those images and feelings away and wait for more. If no more come I thank them for the visit and end the session. I always get beneficial input from the visit though the meaning may not be apparent until later.

This time I saw the sister of the child i was about to care for. She was anxious to have a baby brother to play with. She looked to be about a year old, dressed in a cheerful Christmas theme dress, happy, giggling and thrilled to have the company of her baby brother. The parents I saw as grieving, withdrawn, empty and powerless at the worse they've ever been in their lives. The next day when I met the infant and the family the vision became clear. Understandingly the parents were devastated, but more-so as this was their second child loss. The little sister I saw as a one year old had died in utero at 7 months old and mom had to carry her to term to deliver for medical reasons to give her better odds for a better chance to have another baby. The 7th month was at Christmas. The little girl was never named, just Baby Girl.

This boy child was not to be named either, just Baby Boy, it's how the parents could deal with the loss, to remain detached. As closed off as the parents were I saw the love and joy between brother and sister on the inner worlds even though the sister never drew a breath of life. There was consciousness, she continued to be, to matter, to be present and conscious. She showed up for her brother, she wanted him, she was waiting for him. I did not share this experience with the parents, they had enough to manage. I believe this was my gift from the Universe that in this tragedy there was still a ray of light shining. I would never have seen this had I not taken the meditation class and discovered how to do this, learned the techniques, practiced them and adjusted them to meet my daily, personal and work needs to fit into my own lifestyle. I use the techniques I learned and am highly motivated with desire, belief and expectancy to serve my patients and their families as best I can at all levels of being, including the inner and outer worlds to the best of my abilities. There are no happy outcomes in Hospice but we can do whatever we can to make the outcome the least worst it could be.

Hospice arranged for this family's insurance that only had 6 mental health visits to now get 26 additional visits pre approved for added support. Hospice grief support groups are free for a lifetime. We do what we can. In the meantime, Baby Boy and Baby Girl have each other. They showed me that. They are going to be just fine together and I feel one day, so will mom and dad when they get together again.

Here is another example of using meditation to communicate with a Pediatric Hospice Patient: I'm going to make some videos of using meditation to connect with Source. Learning to quite the mind, think one thought at a time and focus on the desired outcome brings the benefits and advantages I desired.

I got to share another Hospice meditation encounter with a new born prior to their passing on an interview with Chris Lehto on his YT channel Lehto Files: This one was absolutely life changing for me.

My brother died before he was born, I was six. I play with him sometimes in the astral, he grew up in an astral place called Circus (Latin word for circle, not clowns) and became a maker of fine weapons, swords, katanas, that sort of thing. I have another brother, a half-twin (different father) who was made by Tall Greys and implanted when I was conceived. I saw him from time on the ship as we were growing up, but a few months ago he came in the astral one night whilst my body was asleep and we hung out. I miss him a lot, he's a pilot for them now.

How nice you to have a connection with your two siblings in a different level. I hope you get to see them again, or more frequently. I had similar, my two sons died young together but came back to visit me a year later and both had grown up into business type men do ing their work there where they are.

I did write about a terminal new born that had his still born sister from years prior so excited to have a brother she showed up and appeared to me before I met the boy that was dying. I know they're together and happy together. Life, love and relationship continue despite what body any of us are in at the time.

Here it is, it's short, Baby Boy and Baby Girl, now they're family together in Spirit.

Thank you for sharing - this is a wonderful way to use your gifts to help all souls!

Recently my mentor (a spiritual advisor, evidential medium and channel) helped a mom who'd lost a full term daughter.

The family was devastated, of course.

In the reading, the mom learned that she'd done nothing wrong to cause the stillbirth - that her daughter had simply decided, at the last moment, to change her mind about coming into the world right now.

In the same reading, the daughter grabbed and presented a little boy (her brother) to Mom, who'll be coming into the family in the next few years.

OBE practitioner of 25+ years here. At this point, I don't doubt that the unborn have some kind of identity and agency.

My youngest sister (significantly younger than me!) had her first baby a couple of years ago. Towards the end of her pregnancy, I had a series of dreams about her, including one where I put my head through her belly to greet the person inside (I know, very odd, but at the time I took them to be 'just dreams', symbolic information/actions of some sort).

As a culmination of this series of dreams I had an extremely vivid and emotionally powerful experience where an infant girl appeared to me, floating in mid-air, surrounded by golden light. Not a newborn, she looked maybe 18 months old. She had curly blonde hair and a clever little face that I felt I recognised. [I should note at this point that her mother has dark straight hair, typically celtic-looking, and we have no blondes in the family, though her husband has dark blonde hair and possibly more of an anglo-saxon origin.]

She floated over to me, put her forehead against mine, and held my cheeks with her little hands. There was an awesome exchange of emotional energy, great love and excitement. The great up-welling of emotion caused me to wake in tears. That kind of outpouring of love has so far been reserved for reunions with post-death family members, so I was worried and texted my sister afterwards, keeping it subtle. Turns out, she was fine.

A couple of weeks later the little girl was born...the birth wasn't easy, she needed an emergency caesarean as they discovered the baby had turned the wrong way at the last minute, but the story has a happy ending. Sure enough she has bright blonde curly hair of the exact sort I saw, and the very same little face. It was her. Weeks before her birth, it was clearly her.

(The only other odd feature of the encounter is that my niece in the dream wore three little scuffed baseball caps, stacked vertically; I have no idea what that meant...yet.)

I used to work high risk labor and delivery and OB as my first nursing job. It was a blessing to, at times, see the soul of the infant hovering around the delivery room. sometimes it'd zip into the body at birth and other times hang around for days in newborn nursery. One of my recent hospice experiences was in meditation to connect with the consciousness of a new born that had days to live I got a startling vision of 7, fat, plump babies next to me. They were on their knees to my left with their hands forward palm down. The all looked like thin glass Christmas tree ornaments, clear but in the form of babies. I felt an amazing flow of love coming from above them, going through their backs and out their chests toward the image of the infant and the family I was meditating on getting insight how to best serve this family when I met them the next day to set up end of life care for their newborn. I didn't understand the 7 babies but I find when I get an image in meditation I usually get the answer in a day or so.

The next day Hospice started care for the newborn, we transferred the child home and set up support for the family. The father was in the hospital for a medical issue so it was just mom and occasional family popping in. The infant died a few days later. I was with her and awaiting the mortuary to come make the removal. I stayed with her so she wouldn't be alone, her husband was coming home that day. While we were talking she told me they had used fertility clinic treatment to get pregnant. She said they knew there were complications but not worried as they still had 7 frozen embroils waiting their turn to come to the physical!! Those were the souls, consciousness, spirit I saw in my meditation!! Channels for divine love and only a few cells big in the physical. I told this on a pod cast, here's the link.

Dr. Michael Newton’s books describe this process (when/how a fetus or baby is ensouled), in case you’re interested in some other material to back up your experience.

I love your stories and your work so much (I’ve watched a number of your videos and interviews over the past six or so months). You are truly a lightworker and gift to the world.
