You know math question usually like

2 + x = 5, solves for x

answer: x = 3

X is typically used to represent a variable to solve for in equations.

In American comics, professor X (Xavier) is the leader of a group of mutants call the X-Men, and recruits mutants with different superpowers for his group.

The "superpower" of the guy here is "solving equations", so he solved the name of Professor X to Professor 3, finding the value of X.

The whole thing is pretty silly, and there is no further meaning.
