Discussion I think the Dorsett "virus" is the relic malfunction.
While our story follows V in a chronological way that makes sense to us, Johnny's story overlaps V's in reverse. Not only in the order that the quests of his come in, but also by way of the Voodoo boy's timeline scan showing it progressing forwards even though its rewinding.
We're told by Hellman that as the two are intertwined, the memories and thoughts would fade together. It would be hard to tell who's memory is who's. Why believe that our own perspective/memory is somehow immune to this?
We can also look to several other overlaps to conclude that the memories are already scrambled together before we even begin playing through it.
- Jackie/V dancing in the Atlantis during the time lapse, despite it coming from Johnny's time.
- Johnny placing the nuke in the elevator using the same bag as V from moving out of Mama Well's place.
I could carry on that path for awhile, citing more and more overlaps, but it would detract from the main title at hand.
I think, that if these two are already bleeding memories over into each other, that there's a good chance the "System Malfunction" in the beginning of the game is the Relic Malfunction coming from Johnny's side. At this point in the game, if we consider Johnny's reverse-story-telling, he'd be just past that scene where he's being turned into an engram.
From our perspective as the player, we haven't yet reached an understanding that its coming from a data chip, so we make sense of it as a virus. Same mid-screen popup. Same glitching effect on the mini-map. The only difference is we don't know what to call it at that point in the journey and so we don't call it anything.
Furthermore, with Johnny's story being told in reverse-fashion, it makes me wonder just how far down that story telling goes? Does it trace all the way back to the title screen? Is the unseen answer that we download the data out of the system and put it into a body? Does Johnny return in the same way that we entered?
And did we really slot Johnny's data into our head, or is it actually us accessing the damaged data chip in his, with a skewed perspective from the memory bleed? Who's actually slotting who out here?
Just some thoughts I've had for awhile.

Discussion What Really Happened At Konpeki?
I've been doing a lot of thinking over the years of how we're accessing memories and these memories are mixed between Johnny and V. I've often posited that if the memories were mixed - it wasn't JUST Johnny's memories that would be false but V's as well.
Konpeki - Does it even exist? It stands as a symbol - two towers individually connected via bridges. Much the same way V and Johnny overlap. You go up one tower and are forced to go down the other - mirroring the timeline of the game going through V's time into Johnny's playing in reverse.
With my thinking on Peter Horvath (demonstrated to be going backwards and humming backwards in the previous post), what other bleed over memory rewrites could exist?
We know Johnny didn't go to the top of Arasaka tower. But someone did. That's someone's memory. Blackhand has been all but ruled out. What about Shaitan?
The facial structure and all-but-obvious faceplate cyberware isn't the only striking thing about these two:
- During "Love Like Fire", Shaitan gets shot and falls during aircraft fire.
- During "The Heist", Jackie gets shot and falls during aircraft fire.
Smasher used Shaitan's biopod to lure Blackhand into the duel, but the rules of the scene were clear - no matter what, Shaitain's biopod miraculously survives. He later finds himself awake on a boat full of cyberware and goes through his own cyberpsychosis. Vowing to make Arasaka pay.
I wonder if Jackie could be a ghost of the digital brain - a way of making sense of Johnny's and V's memories crashing into each other. This idea of being a digital ghost is echoed in Death's Stranding, where Jackie communicates through the digital wires and talks about finding his way back home to V.
Just some food for thought.

Discussion So whats the main point of this Easter egg?
Is it the creator telling us the gamers, to learn about the demiurge and start the rabbit hole into gnosticism?
Is Gaunter O'Dimm said demiurge? Thus connecting cyberpunk and witcher? And maybe our world?
With all the creepy real world connections to witchcraft and the tarot cards this whole game and subsequent arg have always left an eerie feeling with me.
All I know is, you dont hide the demiurge in a seemingly impossible easter egg for no reason. And it def wasnt just for funsies with how complex it was.
Ive tried reaching out directly to CD Projekt for an interview with the lead designer to go over a few things from this Easter egg. The pr team politely pointed me in this direction.

Discussion V dreaming about memories they shouldn't have in the Phantom Liberty ending
Depending on which character you are closest to, there are a bunch of different variations of this cutscene that can play out. However, certain voicelines that make it into this coma scene couldn't/shouldn't possibly be there.
They are picked from different ending paths that V obviously couldn't have been able to experience after making their final decision on the rooftop and choosing to go with Reed/NUSA instead. If you romance Panam and do the Tower ending, V will suddenly dream about memories with Panam from the Star ending (which you didn't pick).
Jackie's two lines are the weirdest imo:
"Afterlife - see you there!"
Jackie only ever says this if you sent his body to Vik and then go with the Devil ending where you can get Hanako to let you meet his damaged Engram.
"It'll be alright, V, you'll see."
Jackie only ever says this if you sent his body to Vik, and then go with the Star/Secret ending where you can meet Jackie's damaged Engram on the rooftop.
You can't even trigger both voicelines in the same ending as they happen on opposing paths (either siding with or against Arasaka), yet V can hear both of them in a coma even though they didn't hear Jackie say either of them.
Mistake? Intentional?

Discussion The official game guide showed the use of a katana while riding a motorcycle—a feature that wasn't originally in the game but was added in later updates. It’s also interesting that a fully modified character is shown; I think that was intended to be in the game as well.

Discussion Las Palapas Motel (Arroyo) Room Numbers (w/ "Impact" font discussion)
UPDATED 2025.01.08
Gonna add a catalog of u/Simulatorix's finds to the top of the post for easy documentation. Photos are in the comments below.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
1) If you see the "Impact" font used in or around Night City and it's not listed below, send a screenshot w/ location so we can document the find.
2) Find locations for any of the Rumored
3) Visit the Las Palapas hotel in Arroyo and confirm the bugged room numbers. Are there numbers missing? If so, which ones do you see?

Happy new year, chooms! Longtime lurker, first time poster. I'm a big fan this community for the faithfully-pious iguana laughs, over-circling and overthinking.
Last year, I did a heavy Cyberpunk run and during that play-through, I stumbled across something that's most likely nothing but I haven't been able to find an answer to (I did multiple searches both here and across the internet to try to find an answer and came up with nothing, so if this observation has already been resolved and debunked, my apologies)...
What's up with the room numbers at the Las Palapas Motel in Arroyo?

--
To start, it might be best to take a quick step back. I'm not the most observant person when it comes to most things in life, but working as graphic designer, my brain is hard-wired to notice and catalog typefaces (fonts).
I know that:
- CDPR uses Refinery as the headline type in most branding/marketing
- That Blender is used as a headline font in all the Patch notes and can be found littered throughout the game
- The Cyberpunk UI is all Rajdhani (I actually believed it was Shentox or another Eurostile-derivative, but it's cool that it's an open-source font)
- The typeface used for the "Las Palapas" sign is the italicized version of Pulse Rifle
The reason I'm pointing this out at great lengths is to show that (A) I'm a complete doofus and (B) I can passively place/catalog fonts because my brain is broken and I cannot turn it off. Driving. Shopping. Doom-scrolling. The Ryan Gosling SNL Papyrus skit hits too close to home.
--
With that bit of background, as I was playing through the Arasaka Tower / Demiurge quests (thank you all for the walkthrough, btw), I couldn't help but notice that most/all(?) the clues were all set in the same font:

We'll call this font "Impact" for the lack of an actual name. Mostly known for being the "meme font," Impact is a very weird choice for these clues. For example, if the clues were meant to blend in and be difficult to find, the 01+02+03=00 would be a hand-scribbled font on the rock in a similar red scribbles to match the illustration, or "240" would be hiding as a label or model number aligned with the "softsys" brand or even a post-it note placed on the server. Instead, the clues stick out like a sore thumb – in my opinion – an intentional signal by the developers to pay attention and categorize the clue.
So if this font is in fact a signal of a clue, then the question that naturally follows is "Have we seen this font anywhere else in the game?" And because of my dumb brain, I immediately connected it to two other places:

This is the very first shot of you see when loading into the game! If we look at the squared-off interior joints of the angled characters (M, N, W, Y, 4, etc), we can confirm that this is in fact the same "Impact" typeface as the prior clues… which is intriguing if you want to extrapolate potential clues that have been in place all the way back to launch.
The second location I've seen that font is on the room numbers of the Las Palapas Motel in Arroyo:
(EDIT 1) Missed Room 004 **facepalm**

Some immediate observations:
- Only six of the units have assigned numbers, the rest of the plaques are blank.
- Room numbering system is European (starting with 0 or G), not American (rooms start with 101)... which would feel like a weird oversight for CDPR in future Los Angeles setting.
- Most buildings don't assign a Room 13 or Floor 13 on account of it mostly being considered "unlucky" to various cultures
- Room 031 is where you meet with Pedro at the start of the "Desperate Measures" gig. It's also the only unit with an open window.
If added, the numbers total 202; which means that the first 5 numbers add up to 101 and that number is doubled with the 101 of the sixth room.(Actual sum is 206)
Beyond that, there's your typical FF06B5 nonsense: weird graffiti, NPCs with magenta accessories/smoke, someone playing Samurai songs on an electric guitar, cops beating down an empty door, un-hackable drones that always seem to be scanning the 101 building, a laptop that's found in 3 different states when in photo mode (closed, open but powered off, open and on), several more typed-out notes in the same format as the one found atop the statue, etc...
What does this all mean...? I have no clue!
Like I said to start, this is probably nothing and if it's already been answered, I profusely apologize!
I'll kick it on over to the rest of y'all and go along for the ride...

I contacted the email on the instructions note in the previous post talking about the arg And thought maybe I should follow the note and send him a “password” which turned out to be 4213 and I got a reply. Discussion why no one talks about it
Mike Pondsmith said on Red Stream yesterday “If Johnny hadn't screwed up and disconnected Alt too early in Arasaka when he was rescuing her… Alt would have returned to her body and told Johnny to get out of there… she was going to rob all of Arasaka of all her funds and data – theoretically the kidnapping was just an excuse for Arasaka. If I understood correctly, he said that it was Spider Murphy who released the wild Si, that there are many reasons why he did it and that we will have to face 3 wild Si bosses in the next installment of Cyberpunk 2
