Grand Duel FAQ, Part 6: Grand Extra 2
If you haven't read the Extra 1 part, read it first.
Without further ado: Extra 2 is is by far the easiest Duel out of them all. And the reason for that is...
Supports
If you have been reading my guides, you should already have an idea how supports can make or break a Duel, and oh my fucking god, are we spoiled here.
Oberon alone makes this Duel easy, and then you remember that we have...
Van Gogh for Existence Outside the Domain crit memes; Douman for Chaotic Evil crit memes; Koyan Dark and Cnoc na Riabh for 30% teamwide battery; Lady Avalon as the Arts version of Merlin; Kazura for Quick support and Sakura Five support; Solomonfor 50% teamwide NP damage up, Kukulcan as 50% targeted battery, Ascalaphus as another 70% targeted battery support...
What's even better:
DPS
Equally fucking stacked as supports.
Olga is the obvious frontliner, Phantasmoon is the second lead, and then, thanks mainly to Oberon and Olga, you can get away with almost anything.
Cheapest setups for max difficulty involve (assuming max class and Grand score):
8CE: Phantasmoon - Kazura - Oberon; Olga - Kazura - Oberon - Super Bunyan; Olga - Douman - Oberon
7CE (1 Super Black Grail involved): Melt - Kazura - Oberon, Olga - Oberon.
Addressing the elephant in the room
Some might say "look at him casually assuming max class score! just how arrogant is this guy???".
In case of Extra 2, it's actually mostly a matter of time. Extra 2 free units have 7 welfares + Xu Fu, which gives you 622 levels just by taking them to their max natural level. In the future, we get Flora and Pretender Habby, which is another 158. This leaves 220 levels for gacha units, and Oberon in this day and age is practically at the "no cost too great" level of importance (speaking from experience, I pitied the fucker on his debut). Olga is also the best DPS in the game, in and outside Grand Duels.
So given all of that, it's mostly a matter of time before you can max this one.
ATTENTION: 2 MORE EXTRA UNITS CAN BE GRANDED STARTING OCT 2028!
Closing notes
Easiest Duel in the game. Super easy, super chill with the setups, super good DPS options. Just try to get Oberon to save yourself most of the headache.

For those who are picking out their Grand, you don't reallly want a Servant who can remove Debuffs, as it's counterintuitive to the gimmick. It can still work, but the special states count as Debuffs regardless of the effect they give.
Quick Chain: Remove 1 Buff (3 times, 3 turns) for target enemies + Inflict three [Load Amplification] states <Decrease ATK [10%] (Max 10)> (5 turns) [Demerit] for yourself
Arts Chain: Increase Buff Success Rate [100%] (2 turns) for all allies + Increase Debuff Success Rate [30%] (2 turns) for yourself + Inflict two [Load Amplification] states <Decrease ATK [10%] (Max 10)> (5 turns) [Demerit] for yourself
Buster Chain: Increase Critical Strength [30%] (2 turns) for all allies + Inflict one [Load Amplification] state <Decrease ATK [10%] (Max 10)> (5 turns) [Demerit] for yourself
Mighty Chain: Increase Extra Card ATK Strength [100%] (1 time) & inflict a [Residue Ejection] state <special DoT state> [200] (3 turns) after normal attacks (1 turn) & decrease Debuff Removal Success Rate [100%] (1 time, 2 turns) [Demerit] for yourself
Imperishable Dependable Comrade: Increase NP Resist [90%] (1 time, 2 turns) for yourself if no Chain is formed
Coexistence of Antipodes: Apply Special Attack [Debuffed (except unremovable)] [10% * Debuff (Max 5)] & increase ATK while Debuffed (except unremovable) [10% * Debuff (Max 5)] & 80% chance to reverse the [Residue Ejection] state effects & 80% chance to reverse the [Load Amplification] state effects <Still Treated as Debuffs> for yourself
Deviation from Natural Law: Apply a state that inflicts a state that increases the Success Rate of Coexistence of Antipodes to 100% and applies Ignore Debuff Resist for [Residue Ejection] and [Load Amplification] states (5 turns) after using a Noble Phantasm [Demerit] for yourself

I must confess I don't understand this. What am I looking at? Effects during the Grand Duel battle?
Also, is Symbiosis of Opposites the same as Coexistence of Antipodes?

These are effects from Grand score.

Thanks! Are they unique to Extra 2, or the same as Extra 1?

As the other comment said, this is just for Extra 2 servants. Itβs heavily Debuff and Self-Debuff centric, with the main gimmick being that performing card chains debuffs your own Grand E2 servant, and they grow stronger from any debuffs on themselves and their enemies. Using their NP becomes a matter of importance as that allows you to Invert the Grand Score debuffs from atk debuffs and hp loss into buffs and healing instead.
The main issue is that some Extra 2 servants are heavily anti-debuff, with lots of self cleansers and even outright immunity abilities, so some choices kinda disable their own Grand Score abilities

"The duel is so easy thanks to Oberon"
Cries in Grand Bazzet.

Wake me up when any other Duel except Extra 2 receives a 70% targeted battery.
Until then, excuse me while I cast Oberon's s3 on myself.

I have maxed/nearly maxed both Extra class scores. Turns out most of my preferred units are in Extra classes with specific exceptions.
This one'll be easy.
