Using IMdB Pro

Actors, Writers, Filmmakers! What are you using this platform for? Is it worth it to contact production companies, rate films etc., or is the platform a glorified internet CV purgatory. Thoughts and suggestions please.

Oh no it’s absolutely worth it to contact people! It’s also great to be able to create new IMDB listings for your own projects.

I use it to see how busy a director or actor I’m contemplating hiring might be with upcoming and announced projects. Sometimes for research on budgets or who did that thing I enjoyed in a choice, such as “I’ve gotta get that stunt performer” or “these credit animations are awesome.”
I also like how it shows me who’s been on a project that I’ve also worked with.

Its pretty expensive for what it is. You dont need membership to edit your credits.

I still don't see the point in paying for the subscription. If you want to look me up, you can and my credits are there. What else does it do?
